Chapter 71

Jacob looked around for a few seconds before sighing. It looks like he cannot hold back anymore. He takes a deep breath and uses the Star Rune on his back. When he opens his eyes, he can see a lot of light dancing in his vision.

This is the Star Rune guiding him.

Star is not only a symbol of power and destruction but also a symbol of guidance, and currently, Jacob uses that part of Star Rune's power.

He dashes forward and follows the light in front of him. He can see them. He can see the string of light that guides him in this fight.

He appears in front of Miakis once again with his sword above his head, but before he can swing it down, Galleon appears in front of him with a shield in his hand. The spectator can hear the sound of steel meeting steel, and they can see Galleon frown at the impact he feels.

The others try to attack Jacob, but he already moves and keeps dodging and blocking all of their attacks as if he knows where they are coming from. However, it lasts only for half a minute before Ferid decides to join the assault and attack Jacob with his sword.

Even with the help of Star Rune, which lets him know the optimum step to beat his enemy, his body cannot keep up against a stronger opponent, resulting in a swallow cut from Ferid's sword. Not only that, when he is using this power, he cannot use other magic because this power alone drains his mana.

Jacob took a deep breath and once again followed the Star Rune's guidance, but this time, it was not defeating all of his opponents but rather defeating three of the weakest opponents first. Answering his request, the Star Rune shows him the step and move he needs to take.

He appears in front of Alenia with his sword in his hand and ready to swing it. Just like before, Galleon appears in front of him and is ready to take the attack, but Jacob smirks a little when he tries to block the incoming attack.

Jacob's feet change direction, and he quickly ducks under Galleon to reach after Lyon standing behind Alenia. Lyon frowned a little and put her weapon in a defensive position, but Jacob pointed his wand at her instead of attacking her with his sword.

"Expelliarmus!"

Invisible energy forces her to release her weapon and make her weaponless. Jacob is only a few meters away from her and ready to take her out, but Georg appears in front of her and attacks him. However, just like Galleon, Jacob changed the direction of his attack and attacked Alenia instead. He points his sword at the woman behind him and activates his rune.

"Furious Blow!"

A massive arc of lightning flies at Alenia, but before it can reach her, Galleon once again appears like a mobile wall to block the incoming attack. However, while he blocked the lightning, he did not see Jacob pointing his wand at the ground and seven spikes coming out of the ground and stabbing Alenia right in her temple.

The safety measure activates and teleports her away from the arena. Jacob gives the other Queen's knight a smirk before jumping far away from the group.

"One down, seven to go."

Ferid smirks at Jacob as he knows what Jacob is doing. He exploits their tight formation not to let the other Queen's Knights attack him at once unless they want friendly fire or restrict the other's movement.

"It looks like we still need to train as a team."

Ferid laughs a little and looks at Jacob with a glint in his eyes.

"However, you still have six of us, Jacob."

Jacob knows about that, and he knows that if he relies on the Star Rune, he can take down at least three more knights before his mana reverse is depleted. The question is…

"Should I do it?"

Defeating four Queen's Knights is a great achievement, but at the same time, he wants to give a great show as this is the last time he is in this world for who knows long before he can go back. He wants to give an impression.

After thinking for a few seconds, he decided to give the spectator a show.

Jacob ignores Ferid, takes a deep breath, and then points his wand at the group in front of him. With a flick of his wand, an explosion happened right in front middle of the Queen's knight formation.

The explosion makes the knights abandon their formation, and Jacob exploits it by flicking his wand once again. This time three explosions happen and make the knights get divided even more.

With a quick succession, Jacob cast a ten spell at once. A light show can be seen in the arena as Jacob keeps casting spell after spell at his opponent. From a small spell like a tripping spell to a dangerous spell like Bombarda Maxima.

When the knights try going on an offensive, Jacob swings his wand around and creates a firestorm in the arena. The Queen's knights cover their faces in the heat except for a few people like Galleon, Ferid and Georg.

They know that Jacob is planning something.

And true to their thinking, a red light appears from behind the fire dome and flies at Lyon. Georg, who stands near Lyon, appears in front of her and slices the incoming spell. However, before he could relax, the debris around them changed in shape.

The debris changed into all kinds of animals, from snakes to dinosaurs. With the Queen's Knight getting distracted, Jacob covers his entire body with invisible spells and a strong compulsion not to look his way.

He slowly gets close to Lyon, who is busy attacking the giant T-Rex with Kyle. However, when she lands on the ground after attacking the T-Rex's eyes, Jacob takes out his sword and swings it down.

Kyle, who can feel Jacob's presence, suddenly shouts.

"Lyon! Watch out!"

However, it was too late. Jacob's sword hit her in the back; if not for the safety measure, she would have a large gash. After dealing with Lyon, Jacob flicks his wand, and suddenly the remaining debris around him starts to float and create a new golem. This time it was a humanoid golem.

Jacob is on top of the Golem, holding a stack of scrolls. With a grin, he tears the scroll and summons all the spells inside the scroll at his opponent. A hundred fireballs appear in the air and continuously fly at the Queen's Knight.

They can take on a dozen or fifty of them for Ferid and Georg because of their physical power and armor but a hundred of them? It was too much even for them.

Explosions after explosions are happening, and the Queen's Knight can only jump around to dodge the incoming attack. They are too busy and so distracted by Jacob's flashy attack that they do not feel him coming with his sword drawn and his entire body invisible.

With a fast thrust, he stabs Zahhak in the back and lets the safety measure take him away from the arena. He casts another invisible spell before quickly running to Kyle's location. The scroll effect will stop in a few more seconds, and Jacob wants to defeat one more person, at least before his mana is depleted.

When he arrived, he quickly thrust his sword, but before his attack could hit him, Kyle sensed his presence and blocked his attack.

*TING*

"Hehe. Not today, brother."

Kyle smirks and frowns when he sees Jacob smirking at him. He widens his eyes when he sees the rune on Jacob's neck start to shine.

"Berserk Blow"

Jacob swings his hand and punches Kyle in the face. When his punch hits his face, an explosion happens and creates a dome of lightning.

And Kyle appears in the spectator booth without too much injury, just like the others.

The spell scroll effect stopped just in time for the others to see Kyle get teleported outside the arena.

"Four down, four to go."
