Predatory evolution

Beichen residential area, Kunming, Yunnan Province, China.

Beichen residential area mainly consists of apartments and some rich people villas. That is quite a peaceful area to live in Kunming.

One of the villas that stationed nearby park of Beichen belongs to the Ji family. Ji family only consists of four members and is one of the richest families in Kunming.

Ji Kang and his wife Su Ya have two children, Ji Lei, and Ji Xiu. Ji Kang is 43 years old and is an established businessman in Kunming and his wife helps him with all the things at their house. They do have two permanent workers at their villa, who has been serving them for 10 years.

Ji lei turned 23 years old by June 5th this year! He also graduated with bachelors in computer science engineering from Peking University last year. Not only that, but his father also took him to a famous martial artist in Kunming from a young age. He practiced Wing Chun from the age of 8 to 18 years old from that Wing Chun master.

He was praised as a prodigy in martial arts by that master of Wing Chun. Even after going to Peking University, Ji lei practiced his martial arts daily. His father also let him learn swimming, Piano and some other skills Ji lei showed interest in.

Ji lei's sister Ji Xiu is 10 years younger than him, He always dotes on her the most. Not only him all the family members dotes on her, making her the princess of the Ji family.

This day, his father was not at home. As he went to Beijing on a business trip.

His mother and his sister are sitting on the dining table, eating food made by da kun. While Ji lei was sitting in the living room watching tv.

Suddenly, the tv stopped working as it is showing that the signal is lost. Ji lei almost cursed out loud, as he has been watching his favorite movie. Seeing that it is not coming anymore, he took out his phone and tried to call his friend Lin ming, who is also residing in Beichen.

But to his horror, the call didn't even connect. He checked what's the problem and found that the signal on his phone is out.

"Mother! where is your mobile? I don't know what's the problem, but the signal on my phone is completely gone."

Ji lei asked his mother so that he can call Lin Ming again.

"It's in my room, you can go and get it by yourself."

His mother said without even looking at him. His sister also continued to eat without care.

He went to his mother's room and got her mobile. Before calling lin ming, he checked whether there is any signal on the phone.

Looking at the no signal symbol on his phone, he simply walked out of his house to check whether he can get any from outside.

As he just reached outside, he heard a lot of peoples commotion. That commotion piqued his interest causing him to look at the roadside where a lot of people gathered on streets while showing their hands to the sky above.

It is normal for any human being to subconsciously see when there is a commotion going. He looked at the sky those hands are pointing out. As he looked he find out that sky is unusually bright a-and t-there are two suns in the sky.

'THUD'

The mobile his hands suddenly fell to the ground, making a thud sound. Hearing this his mother looked at her phone which fell on the floor, his son didn't even try to pick it up.

She became somewhat angry and moved towards his son, while Ji Xiu also tagged alongside her, to see her brother get scold by their mother.

"What are you looking in the sky dazedly, without even picking the mobile?" Asked Su Ya picking her phone from the ground.

"Mother! Look there are two suns in the sky! It is so beautiful." Su ya didn't get an answer from Ji lei, instead got from her daughter.

She was about to chide Ji Xiu about what two suns she was talking about. But, she subconsciously looked at the sky. There are two suns in the sky one is at 9o clock while the other is at 12o clock.

'Thud'

This time, her mobile completely broke. She also looked at the sky with a daze and she has a foreboding feeling about this. As she was about to say something, she was interrupted by a clear voice from the sky.

"Hello, earthlings!! My name is Sizia. I am a system appointed to conduct competitions on this Xinya realm. Don't worry about the other details, all you have to do play some games and you will be transported to the next realm. In this realm, there have been 99 worlds that we have gathered from milky way galaxy, yours will be the last one to join. As we have completed collecting all the worlds, from tomorrow onwards, I will conduct games. Of course!! Welcome to Xinya realm earthlings and I hope you find it homely here."

After saying that, that voice disappeared.

Hearing this, Ji lei who was standing in a daze unto that point, looked at her mother and said,

"Mother!! Even though that system or something said to make yourself at home, I don't know why I have a very bad ominous feeling swelling up in my mind. Let's First go inside the house, we will talk later."

Even though he said that he doesn't know why he is actually quite calmer than he thinks he would be. He took his mother and sisters' hands and lead them into the living room. After making sure, his mother sat on the sofa, he used his hand to shake her out of her daze.

"L-lei, d-d-did y-you hear that or A-am i the only one that heard." His mother asked him with a stutter in her voice.

"Hello, fellow neighbors!! I am the leader of the neighboring world of yours. I know that you have just been forcefully transferred to this realm, but don't worry they are just going to let us play some games. You don't have to worry, I promise you that it will be so easy to play those games. My world has already played those games in the previous realm and because we played well, we are transferred to this realm as our promotion."

After hearing that, a lot of people on the earth started having different reactions. Those who are strong-willed didn't let their guard down, but those who are weakly willed somewhat relaxed by this coaxing.

"As the neighboring worlds in this realm, we should cooperate and help each other. As the people who already played in one realm, we will help you with games like, some tricks to solve them easily. All you have to do is let us show you our goodwill." After saying that, that voice went off without any more words.

Currently, the earth was facing tremendous commotion. There are no communication signals on mobiles, as those satellites have been left on the solar system. The only satellite that followed earth is the moon. Internet system completely collapsed, making it impossible to communicate from one place to another place.

"Y-your father is in b-b-Beijing!! Will something happen to him?" His mother asked with a scared voice.

"Don't worry mother! Nothing will happen to him. Even though satellite used products are not working, remaining all are working. If he took the road journey by a car from Beijing, he can reach Kunming in 2 days at most."

He consoled his mother, but a hint of worry was present in his mind.

No one knows what will happen with this world anymore. After that, he took his mother and Ji Xiu to her bedroom, so that they can rest.

Two hours later, he again heard that system voice saying.

"All earthlings!! Please attention!! Tomorrow is going to be the first trial of your game. The next day, early in the morning, whoever wants to participate in the game should go their provincial capitals and get register in the trail before 11 am. We need a total of 20 lakh participants in the game, in case we couldn't meet the requirements, we will randomly teleport people into the game. Oh! one more important point, if a family member were to join the game, then we won't include those people's family members in random selection. That means we are giving volunteer members a huge benefit."

Saying up to that point, the system waited for a second before continuing.

"Tomorrow's game is very simple!!! All you have to do is send 20 lakh people from earthling's or your kind(Only Humans) and 20 lakh people from the Golan world will be sent to a random location. All you have to do is, kill the other world's 20 lakh people completely, Once one side is completely annihilated, you can be transported back to your world. Don't feel sad, we are not making you do this without any gains, everytime you survive a game means you will become stronger, by system rewards. So, please feel to kill or get killed. Thank you."

Hearing this announcement, the entire world suddenly is thrown into chaos. As people are about to go mad, they heard that old man voice again,

"Hai! what a shame! she set a match between both of our worlds. Yup, Golan is the home to my people. Fellow neighbors! don't worry about this anymore, just send 20 lakh people. We will make sure they die without much pain and we will show our goodwill to you people, only if you don't kill any of my race. If you even kill one of my race, we will be going to torture you. Sorry to say this, but if you don't want to go through so much torture, just come and die without any struggle."

Hearing those sarcastic words of 'nice old man'. People who are weakly willed and believed him at first now started to have a mental breakdown, as they don't know what to do if they were to get selected.

Meanwhile, inside Ji lei's house, Su Ya already woke up and started crying by this damn play of karma on them.

She wasn't afraid of going to that place, but what if her children randomly selected. She doesn't know what to do anymore.
