EPISODE 16: Twilight*

The clear and terrestrial sky, how wonderful indeed. Sparkling auras shining bright with their mother, while the clouds tip-toe to ends of this fertile land. Peace and tranquility flows freely like the cold-tempered wind. The grass produced a harmonious rustling sound, while the wind performed her own melody.

The flowers are like sleeping beauties, for even when darkness shrouds, their glory never withers. The harmonious tune of the swaying trees adds a pinch of suspense. Nature plays with her children, together they produce an operetta.

Nighttime takes its spotlight, people are drowsy, except for the children of course. Back at the Orphanage Park, dozens of orphans come to stargaze at Palkia's marvelous creation.

"... From darkness, a deity rose, giving birth to the light..." The literatures of ancient Sinnoh describes a deity who perished darkness with the light. This deity is no other than Palkia, the God of Space. He controls the flow of his creation, making sure that the darkness shall never beget the light.

Me and Jenny jumps into the pure lush grass, staring above to the vast violet sky. We stay on a patch, far away from the crowd, a place where only peace and tranquility can be sensed.

The eerie darkness of that night would never escape my memory. I clearly remember the pitch-black curtain draped over the sky, and the twisted, warped shapes that the stars made against the blackness. The milky speckles twirled and danced along the sky in various patterns, tugging at the corners of my lips in a way that almost made me smile.

We and our Pokemons gazes upon the twilight blanket, ever happy, and ever glowing. I feel a sudden sensation, a connection with my Pokemons perhaps? Although this connection may still be feeble, but one day? I'm sure it'll be unbreakable.

"I miss doing this every night with my family." Jenny's eyes sparkle while trying to avoid herself from crying. Her eyes reflect her memory, and her moist tears reflect her admiration towards her family. It is indeed painful to remember something that you and your family did before. If only the wheels of time could revolve, maybe her family would be here, gazing upon the stars with her.

Here I am, still laying on the grass, a girl with no passion and a single dream, a dream to live a typical life. I'm very aware that my dreams are meant to be dreams, for once you are born on this world, there is no turning back, whatever burden you carry, it'll be with you until the end of time, you may feel like it's gone, but trust me, it will always be there, gradually pulling you down. This is what I've learned from my life.

"One day, I'll make my mother proud. I'll avenge my family, and bring justice against team Rocket! No one will stop me, not even the test of friendship can." Jenny exhilarates while clenching her fist in front of the gargantuan moon. I giggle outside, but on the inside? I wish that it is easy to find your inner passion.

"I'm still wondering what you're going to be in the future. Having trouble finding inner passion huh? Here's a tip, listen to your heart." Jenny tilts her head to me and suggests with a pleasant smile.

"Lis... Listen to your heart?!" I question. It is obvious that she is telling me metaphors again, but how could I know if I'm listening to my heart? The heart does not speak to us, it only sends out our true feelings. It is the archives of emotions and feelings, more superior than the mind.

"Listen to your heart, you can feel it in your jellies. Trust me! My mother told me, whenever you feel down, just look to the sky, our ancestors will be there to guide us." Jenny's heart beams with eunoia. I guess she belongs to the determined ones.

Before the moon reaches its pinnacle, everybody is requested to return to their room. Another day is written in the books of natural laws, as another chapter begins to unfold. From an intersection between halls, me and Jenny finally separates. I didn't know, that this is the last time I am going to see her, as a fifteen-year-old teenager. Little do I know that I'm heading to a path, yes... a path I could not stray from.

On the path to my room, I encounter Chloe again. The hall is quiet, not a single sound is made except for Chloe's running feet. On her hand lies an object which will change the course of my life. A cup of warm milk, yes, she is indeed holding a cup of milk.

My mind is flying around the abyss of creativity and imagination. I couldn't forget the time me and Jenny first stargazed together. Even Ralts and Petilil leaps by my side.

"What the?!" Chloe's flawlessness shrunk down to the depths. She and I accidentally jolts against each other. Her cup of warm milk spilled upon me and my Pokemons. She is the one dashing through the halls, yet I am the one to be blamed for.

"S... Sorry." I kneel down and apologize. I don't want to enter a very conflicting argument, I won't win, it's better if I apologize.

"Sorry?! Look what you did? Do you know how long I lined up just to get a cup of milk?" Chloe infuriates like lava burning down the chasms of Earth, turning every ocean into murk. Ralts and Lily are definitely scared of not only her looks but her traits as well.

Chloe clenches her fist tightly with her teeth grating against each other, her eyes turned sharper than Pidgeottos, and her anger burned hotter than Charizard. Chloe's face turns red, as her mind prepares a bombardment of insults and mockery.
