Chapter 67

As Carnage was about to head back to Earth, he noticed something behind the Moon. Going to the dark side of the Moon and creating a green lantern construct of a telescope, he looked through it, looking for the thing he saw. After some minutes, he found it again, a red planet.

'Mars. Good to see it.' Carnage thought, staring directly at the planet. 'All I have to do is fly straight in that direction so I should hit it. From NASA information, Mars is around 33.9 million miles away from earth but my current flying speed is mach 10. So it will take me approximately 18 days... ok, this isn't going to work. Doesn't this ring have an Interstellar Travel function installed init? It is from space after all so it should have..."

Suddenly, Carnage zoomed forward, appearing in the atmosphere of the earth in an instant. A loud boom followed after, clearing all the clouds in the sky.

'I moved from the moon to earth in an instant... That's fast. Is this interstellar travel?' Carnage thought, flying back to space, looking past the moon, at the direction he remembered Mars being, and with a thought, he shot forward at a speed almost close to light speed, appearing above Mars in an instant. 'Yeah, I moved close to light speed. This is oddly convenient-'

The green lantern ring suddenly shot out of his finger, covering itself in a green cocoon, and shooting away. Looking at the ring leaving him, all he could think of was,

'Fuck!'

Without the protection of the green lantern ring, the gravity of Mars pulled him. Quickly curling into a ball to protect his head, he fell through Mars's atmosphere, plummeting to the surface, with fire around him like a comet. Crashing into the surface, he created a crater, red dust covering the area.

"How am I going to leave this planet after I am done with it?" He mumbled, standing up. Surprisingly, his body didn't splat like it would have if he had fallen from that height at that speed. "Did eating just a little of Superman gives me this much durability? ...That isn't the main problem now. Now, where should I start with my hunt?"

Appearing at the top of the crater with a red streak, Carnage looked around the red desert, the red sand constantly flying around somewhat hindering his vision. Picking a random direction, he zoomed away, looking for civilization. For almost an hour, he found nothing except a red desert spreading on endlessly.

'Did they go extinct or something?' Carnage thought looking around. 'Have I been searching wrong? Maybe they are underground or something... No harm checking.'

Vibrating his body at super speed, he moved through the ground, falling through it like it wasn't there. After falling for a mile or so, he found himself falling into a burrow, filled with buildings and green humanoid walking around.

Not being able to fly, he crashed through the roof of a building, landing on the dining table of a family of Martians, disrupting their dinner. They stared blankly at him, wondering what type of creature he was and why he fell through their roof. Before they could do anything else, Carnage snapped all their neck, killing them.

"My assumption was right. They live in burrows like rabbits." He mumbled, cleaning away the food stuck to his body before walking up to the closest Martin and taking a bite, almost vomiting. "They taste like sand."

Ignoring the way they tasted, he finished the father, he felt his physical attributes grow stronger and nothing more. Deciding he had to eat more to gain any of their abilities, he finished the family, only growing stronger.

"Seeing how my range of vision is now higher, I must ha e grew taller." Carnage said, clenching his fist, a strong force emitted from it. "My mass never increased when I grew stronger before but now it does. It must an evolutionary trait caused by adding the Martian's DNA or Superman's DNA to mine. If my mass keeps increasing like this, I would gain the mass of a planet giving me a gravitational pull to that of a planet."

"That's far ahead but with the increase of my mass, the ability to fly isn't so far-fetched." Picking his teeth, he looked at the TV in the living room, which was turned off. "This race is pretty advanced in technology. Thought that they will still be in their primitive era."

Going up to it, he found the remote and turned it on, and switched it to the news channel. He needs to find the state of this race and what is going on around the world. Regretting not bringing his laptop, he went to the house computer. Going through the web with super speed, he learned about this race state, their government structure, and how the underground Borrow works.

Each Borrow has its names, like the one he was in is called Gu'el. 10 or more Borrows are put in groups named sector and he is currently in Sector 781. The world government system is similar to a Democracy type, with the General of the military being the highest power instead of the president. The reason they stay in Borrow underground is that the surface temperature of Mars is too high but the main reason was to hide away from the White Martians.

Mars or Ma'aleca'andra as that call it, is dominated by two races, The White Martians and the Green Martians. The White is constantly at war with each other while the Green is peaceful, War rarely happening.

"Though, it seemed like war is about to go out between the two races." Carnage thought, leaning back on the computer cheir. "Their telepathic ability and shapeshifting ability will be so useful in the future. I should probably clear this entire Sector and eat them all before they go extinct due to the coming war."

Standing up, Carnage grinned, his face turning ugly. "This will be fun."
