Chapter 139

I looked in the sky while I was still underwater and saw Kaido flying above me in his complete dragon form. I grabbed Shusui with both my hands and disappeared from the water. I appeared right above Kaido and started rotating in the air while diving down.

My spinning speed started increasing, and sharp black winds started surrounding me. Kaido immediately turned around and intercepted me with his claw. As we clashed, massive shockwaves appeared that created huge waves in the sea. I started putting more strength behind my attack, and I started slowly pushing Kaido back.

"Bolo Breath!"

He opened his mouth, ready to shoot another fire blast at me. I let go of my sword with my left hand and aimed it at his mouth. A blue energy beam shot out of my palm and hit him in his mouth, making his technique explode in his mouth. It's the same Haki technique that Rayleigh can use.

The unexpected attack made him stop in his tracks, which gave me an opening to attack. I appeared right under his head. I grabbed Shusui with both hands again and pulled it back beside my head.

"First slash."

I swung my sword upwards as I slashed on his body, but it only left a white mark.

"Second slash."

I slashed downwards this time, but it was minimal damage again.

"Third slash."

Upwards.

"Forth slash."

Downwards.

"Fifth slash."

Upwards.

"Sixth slash."

Downwards.

I slashed him six times in less than a second. My muscles suddenly bulged, and my Haki started increasing with more power as I prepared for the final slash.

"Seventh slash: Ketteiteki!"

I swung Shusui upwards with all my power. As it hit Kaido, I suddenly felt something splash on my face.

"RRROAAARRR!"

I looked at the massive slash on his left side that started as low as the scar Oden made, all the way to his chin. The pain was apparent in Kaido's eyes. I managed to cut this damn monster.

"YOU BRAT!!!"

I suddenly felt something coming towards me as I jumped with Geppo and barely managed to dodge his tail. I turned around with my back facing Kaido and quickly took out a camera Den Den Mushi and took a selfie with Kaido. I immediately disappeared from there the next second, barely dodging his mouth that tried to bite my head off.

"How does it feel to be cut after such a long time? And this one is way bigger than that X-shaped one. You should have listened to me and fought with those marine guys. I'm way out of your league, overgrown lizard."

As Ken was insulting Kaido, making his anger increase every second, you could see a snail on the ground that was watching this fight from the beginning. Or rather, this entire war. The marines that were tasked with turning off the broadcast all died during the war. And because everyone wanted to leave as quickly as possible, they've totally forgotten about them as the broadcast still shows everything that is happening.

[3rd Person P.O.V.

Jiyū Island]

The whitebeard pirates looked on with shock at the massive cut that was pouring out blood on Kaido's body. No normal person would be able to survive being cut on their throat, but Kaido isn't normal in any aspect.

"Pops, didn't you once say that even you never managed to cut Kaido? That only Oden managed to do that with his special swords?" asked Marco with shock on his face

"That is indeed true. That monster has a terrifying defense that no blade could penetrate." said Whitebeard

"Doesn't that mean that Ken is at the level of Yonko?" asked Vista

"Don't say something stupid like that. He must have been just lucky." said Jozu

Whitebeard looked at the screen, seeming deep in thought and ignoring his cremates bickering around him.

'A yonko, huh. If he keeps this up, he might make those old bastards move, or even worse, that monster that is even scarier than Kaido. Well, all I can say is, good luck, Ken.'

[Whole Cake Island]

Big Mom, her 4 Sweet Commanders, and Perospero were looking at the broadcast with shocked looks. At first, they were just looking at the war for some entertainment, and when Kaido showed up, Big Mom just had an annoyed expression of having to his face again. But seeing the blood coming out of his body made her shocked.

"Impossible. Perospero, is this broadcast real!? Did you do something with it!?" asked Big Mom

"This is the broadcast that we intercepted from the marines. Everyone around the world is getting the same broadcast, and it would be impossible to fake something like this." said Perospero

"His name is Ken, Right?" asked Katakuri

Perospero nodded.

"If he comes here, I'll take care of him."

"Are you sure? He just hurt Kaido, who is said to be invincible." said Smoothie

"Kaido is slow when he is transformed. Anyone could hit him with enough speed. I'm confident in dodging any of his swings, so it doesn't matter how strong he is. And it took him 7 slashed to make it through Kaido's defenses. I'll take his head before he finishes the first."

"Mamamama, I'll leave this brat to you then, Katakuri. Make sure not to show him any mercy." said Big Mom

She grabbed a hand full of candy and stuffed it in her mouth as Katakuri nodded. The earlier shock disappeared, and they went back to enjoying the broadcast when a slash suddenly came towards the Den Den Mushi at Marineford and cut it in half, ending the broadcast.

[Marineford]

I destroyed the Den Den Mushi that I sensed was looking at us.

'This is enough of showing off to the world. It might have looked like I've really hurt Kaido, but I know better. The cut is too shallow, it might leave a scar, but that is the most it will do. And that after I used my strongest attack. It's a technique that slashes the opponent on the exact same place 7 times in a row. With each slash, the attack power increases, and the cut gets deeper.'

I jumped down on the plaza as Kaido is looking at me with pure hatred. He looks like he'll launch himself at me any second now.

'This guy truly isn't human. I never managed to use more than two slashes because I never had an opponent that could block it. But this guy firmed all seven and will only be left with a scar. I really should hold off on taking down a Yonko.'

I looked at Kaido as he suddenly transformed back into his normal form and landed right in front of me. He looked down on me as he's releasing Haoshoku Haki on me. I also used my own Haoshoku Haki as an invisible force started clashing in between us. None of us took even one step back.

"Ever heard of toothpaste? You should use it, stinky breath."
