And when the sun did reappear a day later, 60% of all humans had already died. Those that lived were secluded, or had awakened an ability. To wield magic or swords. to raise their own undead, or to create weapons. Each person powerful enough even at their weakest, to have bullets break when they're shot. But it wasn't enough. We were too spread out. We couldn't reach eachother. and group by group, we were slaughtered. My parents, siblings, friends My neighbors, their kids, My coworkers. Not a single person was spared. And I later learned I was the last person to survive. How long did I last to be exact? Eight days. not years, months or weeks. days. And my final moments was to be spent in a freezer.
