New World: The rise of Meruem

I remember being hit by a car. Damn it everything ended so quickly "you know it's true what they say your life does flash right before your eyes," I thought while I started gaining some control over my body. it seems I'm in some kind of liquid substance, "it's not hurting me, and it's not hard to breathe in" I thought while contemplating what was going on. I should backtrack on what I do remember as I did this I remembered it was raining, so very hard that day which felt like just yesterday. But I knew it had been longer from what little memory the body I resided in gave me.

After some time of racking my brain, I remembered the day was Friday id just left a party that my girlfriend at the time broke up with at. Just a few minutes before the crash happened. I remember just walking out, without a care in the world, I wanted to get as far away from her as possible, honestly, she called me a psychopath and that she hated me. Shit, she ruined my public image the fucking nitwit. (sigh) Well enough about her I have to get back to understanding what's going on.

My name is…. Well was Andrew stocks, I was a self-made millionaire by the age of 19 and owned an investment company. That's enough of memory lane I'm no longer Andrew and despite how amazing that life was it seems I've been reincarnated, or some devil has gotten a hold of my body, either way, adaption is key right now. I need to figure out what situation I'm in, from the looks of it, it seems like I can move around. As I extended my arm, I felt a flesh like wall though thin it appeared to be protecting me. "Am I in a cocoon of some sort?" I thought while I continued learning more about what was happening.

I started feeling parts of my body, it all felt inhuman. What was supposed to be my skin felt like an exoskeleton of some kind? Hard with small bumps and grooves on it, and on my back, I move what to my surprise felt like wings. Not just any kind of wings but thin butterfly-type wings, "what the hell" I thought while trying to keep my cool. My eyes wouldn't open for some reason as they felt stuck together. But my mouth felt oddly human, other than my nonexisting lips that felt as though they were smelted together. As I moved my tongue around my mouth, I felt that my teeth were human-like. It seems I don't have what I'd guess would be sharp beast-like teeth, instead, my teeth are human-shaped with two large fangs right at the curvature of my mouth.

I left no possibility off the table and my mind just guessed vampire, but that doesn't explain the exoskeleton like feel of my body. as time went on, It felt as though I was gaining more control over my body, as the numbness that was formerly there was gone. As I moved my arm, I felt what id assume was muscles though not in the human sense as these felt as though I could connect to them and manipulate them as I wished. I could also manipulate my bones, everything felt alive. Though interesting I decided not to dwell on it, deciding to see if the similarities between humans and whatever I am stopped at just teeth.

I started counting my fingers to my surprise I had 5 on each hand amounting to 10 in total. After that I started moving more trying to get used to my new body though I made sure to take precaution to not destroy the cocoon that I was in, deeming it a good place to rest. As that went on, I decided to just mess around and open my mouth to count how many teeth I had, as I opened my mouth the liquid substance entered. "damn it how could I not realize this would happen" I thought wanting to beat the shit out of myself for such a careless mistake.

As whatever this substance was filled into me, I gulped it down almost subconsciously. As I did that, I started gaining knowledge and strength I didn't have before. This process went on for some time and I couldn't discern what exactly I was seeing. It appears that this was just a means of "uploading" my mind with current worldly information. "Such an amazing species," I thought as this finally settled down and I could once again think freely I started to pick apart the memories.

From what I saw it appears, I am an offspring of the "Last Mother" of the Intecqus species. A species that was once very prominent in the Galaxy but after the great galactic war that thee Intecqus were involved in. Our now queen dubbed the "Last Mother" crashed on this planet wanting to escape the sheer madness of the galactic war. A war that had long went out of any Galactic species control. leading to death and destruction beyond any one's scope of understanding. planets were destroyed, laid waste to by biological and explosive weapons. The greatest crime of all though was the killing of every prominent scientist who knew how to operate our once impressive galactic space ships, and all of our technologies.

I say now queen because the "last Mother" was not at first a queen, she was just a general who after being given the "queen" gene and the order by the then queen to leave the war with as many Intecqus as possible. Crashed on to this mysterious planet, but as we went on and as the "last mother" fought for a place here on this planet killing all those monstrous creatures who got in her way. She had to begin repopulating the Intecqus population.

The process was relatively simple as all she did was devour every strong creature; she could find then used their DNA to give birth to a new generation of Intecqus.

It's fascinating the queen requires no mate to give birth as she uses her own DNA and the DNA of the monsters she killed to give birth to the new generation of Intecqus. This Is amazing we as a species aren't tied together by DNA no, we're tied together simply by our queen mother. An Intecqus from one generation could be so different from the previous or future generation that id says they aren't even of the same species not even close yet we still all bond together as one.

But as generation after generation went by the problem of our species became evident to all once again. The queen's mother needed to take more despite measures. The problem was our species had a low near zero birth rate. It's because of our strange DNA makeup that we struggle with being born to put it simply. We aren't just one species were a homunculus made up of hundreds maybe even thousands of different species.

It appears she's literally feeding a greater portion of herself to us while also attempting to give birth to what our species calls the "king". We're a generation that may be the last if our queen mother dies. After learning about this I didn't care much for anything else I just sat confused as to what to do next.

Some time past and I heard a loud "ding" in my near…... instead of being afraid and panicking I waited for a few minutes trying to figure out what the hell was going on.

[The system will now begin merging with the host. Please brace yourself]

I didn't have long to understand what was going on, a sharp pain laced my mind as some foreign object attempted to merge with my mind. I didn't attempt to fight it seeing as it didn't have a shape or form and I had no clue how to even start resisting it. I sat crossed legged; arms crossed gripping my hard exoskeleton like skin waiting for this pain to subside.

[System has merged with host, will now begin uploading host mind with knowledge of system]

You know it's kind of funny. I was once a person who couldn't live in a place if I didn't have complete control over it but now it appears that I've not only lost control of everything but also fell victim to not one but two intrusions into my mind. But enough with self-pity It took forever for this "system" to sync with my mind. It's odd but I remember falling asleep awakening to the sound of a ding, "finally" I thought.

"Alright system show me my status menu"

I thought while remembering that I never did get around with counting how many teeth I had. I got around to doing that seeing as I for some odd reason didn't care much for the system. I have exactly 42, how strange I thought while looking up at the status menu.

This seems as though it could be very beneficial, especial what it calls the "store" I can't wait to go shopping. while everyone else is focused on adapting to their bodies I'll be focused on improving my own. I sat there for some time just thinking of a possible plan of action when I leave this cocoon of mine. Should I attempt to usurp the weakened queen and rule this species as a king?

Of course, doing so would require I kill the current king soon to be born, supposedly destined to lead the Intecqus species to greatness. I sat for quite some time before deciding that it was time to get some sleep, though I don't know if this was my choice or my DNA literally telling me I needed to sleep. Anticipating a change happening inside me... who knows who cares.
