(I'll be classifying the body Liam inhabits as the skull body.)
"Ha ha ha ha."
'Where am I?'
A tall figure stood proudly on a huge structure, looking down at the battle scene before him.
He stood like a fortress, promoting valor in the hearts of his allies and spreading fear in the hearts of his enemies.
'What's going on…?! The other location… the female?!' Liam thought, recalling his former situation.
Same as the first, he couldn't move or change anything. It was just like a film, where all you do is watch.
"Seems you enjoyed your time with her. Too bad, it couldn't last longer than that," said a voice, whispering in Liam's ear.
The voice sounded so familiar that Liam didn't phase at its sudden interference. "Skull?!"
"I don't like that name… I'll only improvise for now."
Twitch
'You clearly described yourself as a skull.' Liam thought, shaking his head in fatigue.
"I can read your thoughts…and don't bother acting smart… I was just testing your IQ level till now."
The voice said sarcastically, revealing to Liam that his little acting didn't pay off.
'Wait… he can hear me. Which means…" Liam wasn't able to complete his thoughts as he felt a chill.
"I knew you'd arrive at the temple… it's something you had no power over." The skull said in a sober tone. "I'll advise you to get inspiration from these situations… there will help you grow."
It was just as before. Liam could feel his concentration changing as he observed the horde before the body he inhabited. Liam could feel their fear and resolution to fight against whoever the male was.
'If what he said is true… then this body should belong to the skull since it's his memory…
But, why does it feel so strange? It's like the body belongs to me!' Liam was in doubt of his current situation but was brought back to the current matters by the motion of Skull's body.
The body moved at a fast pace to the horde, causing them to retreat in fright. "You can't retreat now… we must end this unruly being!" Yelled someone on the frontline, motivating the scared men to move forward.
It was like forever as Liam observed the expressions of the men before him; fear, joy, bravery, and sorrow. There were so many that he couldn't understand the reason behind them.
"This is what the fear of death can cause. I'm sure you have gone through similar situations. The hospital."
Liam could not feel the flow of time. Everything… every being stood still in its tracks. 'How…?'
"Don't fret… it's all just beginning!"
Boom
As the voice went silent, Skull's body collided with the horde. There was no contact but all Liam could see before him was minced flesh.
"Ahhhhhh!"
Those who managed to escape their annihilation screamed in both pain and fear.
A light structure formed on Skull's body. It was like a sword but had an irregular shape.
Liam could feel the power emanating from the weapon. It was like nothing he ever felt… something that made his soul scream.
*Annihilation*
Muttered Skull's body, raising the light structure to the sky.
*I'll end you all!*
As the light structure fell to the ground, Liam experienced a strange phenomenon. It was like being sucked into a vortex.
Swoop
'This place!' Liam said, looking at his surroundings in horror.
"Everything seemed all good at one point… but, life showed its true colors. Shattering all my dreams," the voice came again, this time sounding depressed.
"One after the other, I lost everything I held dear to me…" the voice paused for a moment. "Just as you will."
Everything sounded surreal to Liam. 'No! It's not possible… I can't lose…!"
"Big Mom… Kassandra?" The voice said in amusement.
'I don't know anyone by the name Kassandra!' Liam said, happy that the voice story didn't fit.
"Ohhh! Now I remember… the attendant had not revealed her identity by now." The voice said, chuckling.
Liam had tried to gain the attendant's name but failed with every try, so hearing such a thing, stuck to his heart like a needle.
"I won't bother with stories. Why not experience it for yourself."
"Liam?!" A voice came from behind, causing him to turn abruptly. Liam couldn't tell if it was by his will or Skull body's will…
A disheveled female lay limply on the bloodied earth's surface, blood dripping from her orifices.
*Kassandra!* Skull's body moved to her at a fast pace, kneeling as he held her tightly.
"D-don't be sad," she stammered, tightening her grip on his palm. "I just need one last favor from you, Liam."
She sounded strong but weak, the smile she put on was so fake, that Liam teared up. "Just take my blood… and let me take yours."
'Kassandra?!'
"This would be the last… no need in revealing your future girls. I already risked a lot to reveal the first one."
The voice words after like the trigger, transporting Liam to another location. "I didn't expect you to reach on time, Liam." Said a feminine voice.
Unlike the first, Liam didn't need to look at the person to tell her identity. "Grace?!"
Jerking his head in that direction, he caught a glimpse of an alluring female, one that took away his breath.
Liam wasn't sure but the body seemed to act according to his will. Though he would love to experiment with his theory, going to Grace was a priority.
Unlike his attendant who had bruises all over her body, Grace seemed perfectly fine, her smile illuminating his world.
"What's happening?!" Liam asked as he arrived at Grace's position.
'I can control this body!' Liam thought, surprised at how everything went smoothly.
His reverie was cut short by Grace's words. "I'm sure you already know this… our world is crumbling. We don't have much time, my love."
Grace's words were like a sour point to Liam's ears as he reached out for her. "Grace…"
"Don't be scared, Liam. I know you can make it… for yourself… for me… for my sisters… and our family!"
It was like a fleeting dream. The more Liam longed to hold Grace, the further she drifted from him.
"No…! Don't leave me!" Liam released an agonized wail as he struggled to reach the woman of his dreams.
"I'm sorry Liam… it could have been better!" Grace disintegrated into particles, leaving those last words for the depressed Liam.
"There's a chance that what you see is all fabricated!" Said the voice in a sober tone. "Maybe for my agenda… but, trust me, Liam. Our future is anything but good.
From Earth to Kosmos, all these worlds hold nothing good for us.
We have to fight… to attain our goals.
The final choice is yours… I'll help you gain exceedingly and abundantly anything within your sight… and you… @#*."
The voice's last words were Unknown but the look on Liam's face said it all. Flabbergasted. Liam lay on the ground limply, both depressed and flabbergasted by the voice words.
"I thought you're me, and I'm you?" Liam said in fury, clenching his fist tightly.
"We are… I sacrificed a lot to reach this point… even affecting some things in this timeline.
Take this as my payment… for saving the future me!"
The voice words sounded sinister to Liam but he was either in or out… and he chose to be in.
"I accept!"
