Chapter 55: Date?

Naruto woke up with a big yawn, he had fun yesterday so his sleep felt that much better, he got out of bed, refreshed himself, did some training, and then took a bath.

There wasn't much else to do other than wait for Temari to show up, they had agreed to meet at noon in the lobby of the hotel Naruto was staying at and there was still a bit of time left so Naruto spent his time reading a book about Suna's history, he had come to learn who the strongest Kazekage was and what kind of traditions they had in Suna.

Naruto was quite interested in magnet release, the Third Kazekage could control iron sand with it, most likely capable of controlling iron and metal as well, like Kunai's or Shuriken, which would be quite a useful ability to have.

Naruto decided to go to the lobby a bit earlier than they agreed to, it was only polite to do so, Naruto did have to wait 10 more minutes until Temari showed up.

He was glad that he decided to hang out with her, Temari looked absolutely beautiful, Naruto had seen good looking women and girls but Temari just seemed to be a cut above them, she was wearing light make-up and was wearing a floral summer dress, her hair styled in her signature four buns.

Naruto stood up and smiled at Temari who replicated his grin, "I must say Temari, you look quite stunning."

Temari's cheeks gained a slight blush as she pouted "Hey! That's not fair you shouldn't be teasing me, I'm older than you."

Naruto laughed "Well I'm the stronger one no?" Naruto questioned jokingly.

Temari hmphed and turned around, not wanting Naruto to see the smile on her face "Well, what are we waiting for let's go!" Temari said and started walking.

Naruto laughed and followed her, they walked around the village, Temari showed him a bunch of popular spots around the village and even showed him the Suna ninja academy, the academy was a lot more different, it had less supplies and less students, while there were still quite a lot of students not everyone would simply be accepted, in Konoha the entrance exams were quite easy since pretty much all children passed it, but the training in Konoha was still a notch better than it was in Suna, so even if they had more talentless ninja they were still quite a bit better than the Genin from Suna.

Naruto and Temari talked about their experiences in their respective villages, Naruto talked about how he was treated as the village's Jinchuriki and noticed that Temari's expression worsened by a lot, Temari liked listening to Naruto talk about his friends and what he did in the academy, Naruto talked about his teammates and his missions, Temari still had 1 year left in the academy and from the things she told Naruto she would most likely be held back until her brother also passed.

Naruto then asked about her youngest brother, her bad mood turned even more sour.

"My little brother Gaara is the Jinchuriki of the one tails, sadly the Bijuu in him has made him insane, my father's actions do not help with that either." Temari said sadly.

They were sitting next to each other as they overlooked the setting sun on the tall walls of Suna.

Temari looked over the village, she loved her village and loved her family even if it wasn't even close to what she wanted it to be and Naruto telling her about his life made her realize that Suna wasn't that great of a place.

Naruto was deep in thought, he had felt the chakra signatured of the now identified Gaara and by sensing his emotions he noticed that a lot of dark chakra was leaking into him and it was corrupting his emotional state.

The only reason why that would happen was if a bad seal was applied, or if the seal was too weak, so Naruto got an idea.

"Y'know I'm a certified seal master, if you want I could alter the seal on your little brother, if it works out well then I can guarantee that your lil bro will start feeling better." Naruto said while looking at Temari.

Temari turned to Naruto with a shocked expression "What!?" She shouted out.

"Well-" Before Naruto could say anything he was cut off by Temari.

"Are you being serious?" She asked with her face dangerously close to his.

Naruto backed up with his hands up "Wow wow, calm down, of course I'm being serious, why would I lie to you about something like that?"

Temari looked at Naruto with a sceptical look and eventually sighed "Sigh, ok, I'll let you do it, but we can't do it right now, my father has a squad of ninja always looking over him, we'll need to wait until they rotate guards which will give us like 5 minutes alone with him." She said.

Naruto hummed, "Well, I've done harder things that altering a seal before." He said as he thought back to the time he met with Kisame, who was still very angry with him, he had put out several bounties totaling over 3 million Ryo.

Naruto and Temari stood up and descended down the wall, they planned to go to Gaara when he had to go back to the their house, while their father wasn't much of a family man he still put up a curfew for them, even if Gaara ignored it most of the time.

They still had a few hours to spend together which they spent visiting the restaurants of Suna that opened in the night, Naruto sensed a ninja approach them so he decided to say goodbye to Temari and headed back to the hotel.

He had a Jinchuriki to help out after all.
