Going Out

"You want to go out?" Mizuki asked her son, Shiro. She looked at him worryingly, "But you just got out of the hospital...!"

"I'm okay now, mom. Besides today is Saturday, Keita could accompany me outside. I want to see if anything's changed in the neighborhood." Shiro reasoned

Mizuki sighed, "...Alright, then you can wake up, Keita. That boy, he always stays up late, playing games."

"Thanks, mom...!" Shiro grinned and run upstairs.

"Hey! Don't run!"

Shiro ignored Mizuki's warning and finally arrived in front of Keita's room.

*Knock *Knock

"Keita...! Wake up!" Shiro knocked on the door but no reply came. He continued knocking and finally, after a few minutes, the door opened.

Keita appeared before Shiro with droopy eyes and messy hair. There is also noticeable eye bags.

"Good morning, Keita!" Shiro greeted happily

"...Good morning, Nii-san. *Yawn* Can I go back to sleep? I'm still sleepy..."

Shiro stared at his little brother's appearance before opening his mouth, "Can you accompany me outside? I want to go out but I don't remember clearly the places around."

"Ah? Eh, you want to go out? But you just got out of the hospital, right?" Keita's sleepiness was washed away.

"It's okay, that's why I asked you to go with me too. It's been 3 years since we had a sibling bonding, right? This is the perfect chance, you could recap me with what happened to you the past years." Shiro smiled

"Okay, then please wait for me downstairs. I'll go change first." Keita nodded

Shiro nodded in agreement and walked downstairs. He went towards the living room to wait for Keita.

A few minutes later, he heard some footsteps coming from the stairs and saw Keita in new clothes.

"Let's go eat breakfast first. Mom has already prepared it earlier." Shiro said and Keita nodded.

The two siblings then went to the dining place and saw a table full of food, along with Mizuki smiling at them.

"Come on, you two. Let's eat breakfast, unfortunately, your father has already left earlier." Mizuki said

The two sat down and said thanks.

"Thanks, mom!"

"Well, then let's eat. Itadakimasu!"

"Itadakimasu!"

After saying their thanks, they started eating. The three ate heartily like they were without worries.

After eating their breakfast, the sibling left the house to stroll outside.

"What year are you now, Keita?" Shiro asked curiously

"I will be a 2nd year at Otobuki High School, this april."

"Oh? Then how's your time at school back in first year?"

"It's...okay. How about you nii-san, are you planning on enrolling for high school?"

Shiro pondered, he doesn't really need to go back to school since he already passed high school in his previous life. But that's not the case for this world.

In the end, Shiro shook his head, "I don't know, maybe I'll try later. But for now, I'll enjoy my freedom haha~" he grinned.

"Ah, you're really lucky, Nii-san. With all your free time, you could lay any game you want without worries." Keita grumbled as he glanced at Shiro enviously.

"Haha~ Then try getting into an accident too." Shiro just grinned, "Come on, didn't you say, we'll go to the arcade?"

"Sigh...Yes."

A few minutes later, Shiro and Keita arrived at a near arcade.

"Oh! Let's play some games, Keita!" Shiro dragged Keita inside. He looked around excitedly, at the same time, he felt nostalgic.

They played a fighting game against Shiro. Shiro played for 30 minutes straight and all his opponents were defeated.

After that, he played other games, while Keita also played some games. Shiro tried the shooting game where he needs to shoot zombies to score.

He easily scored a super high score, slowly people gathered to watch him play. All of them were amazed at his skills. And lastly, he went to the crane game where he got a cute key chain.

After that, the two siblings left, not noticing a young petite girl with long silver hair tied into twin tails, observing them.

She wears a dark blue button-down vest with side straps, over a tank top, a dark blue skirt with two yellow lines, and sneakers.

After leaving the arcade, Keita showed Shiro all the places in their neighborhood. They only got back at lunch.

"How is your day?" Mizuki smiled, seeing the two coming back.

"It's quite fun, mom." Shiro smiled

"Did you two have fun?" Their father asked, he already heard it from Mizuki.

"Yea, I showed Nii-san the places he could go to. First, we went to the arcade..." Keita excitedly described their tour earlier.

The others just smiled and listened to his story.

After lunch, Shiro went out alone. After all, he already knows the neighborhood as Keita showed him earlier.

"I wonder what I should do? Though first in my to-do list is do something about my body." Shiro smiled wryly remembering the state of his current body.

Although the system has already healed his body, it didn't change the fact that he looked skinny. Although his body's look improved before getting out of the hospital, he still somewhat looked thin.

"I'll leave for the future me, for now I'll enjoy playing some games in the arcade." Shiro grinned and joyously walked towards the arcade while humming some tunes.
