My Mother is Not From This World...?

"Mmhmm…" In North America a student in his second year of college was walking up in his room.

"Leo! Come down, breakfast is ready!"

Leo could hear his moms shouting from all the way up stairs, she always had a loud voice.

Leo's mom always made breakfast for him in the morning even though Leo kept telling her that she didn't need to. When his mom heard his thoughts on her making breakfast she adamantly refused, telling him that if the choice was up to Leo, he would eat junk for breakfast or just not eat at all. After that Leo had no choice but to accept it, after all his moms words were not a lie.

"Let me get ready real quick!" He shouted in response.

While starting to get out of his bed which seemed to have been consuming him, Leo felt a sharp pain run throughout his body, leading him to stumble back onto the bed.

"What was that?"

He then began to feel his body in a quick check to make sure everything was okay, but he quickly found out that all of his body was horribly sore. This confused him because yesterday was sunday and he didn't go to the gym on Sundays, but even then this soreness is far beyond his normal gym soreness, what he was feeling now was borderline pain.

Deciding to relieve some of the soreness, Leo did a quick stretch, causing the pain to dull only a little but at least it was now manageable.

Quickly getting back up, Leo headed to the bathroom to freshen up before breakfast.

After cleaning himself in a quick shower, Leo stood before a large mirror while drying off his wet body.

For some unknown reason, while looking in the mirror, Leo found himself more…attractive. But it wasn't that his looks changed, he still had his decent abs, noticeable jawline, brown hair, and blue eyes. Instead, he gave off a different…vibe? It was very hard to describe, but something was definitely different.

Checking himself out for a little longer, Leo gave up on trying to find what it was and clothed himself and headed down stairs to where his mom was at with breakfast.

"What took you so long?!"

After walking down stairs his mom shouted at him, seemingly annoyed with how long it took for him to finally show up.

"Chill, woman! It didn't take but a second!" Leo shouted back.

This kind of rude speech is not commonly spoken between parents and children, but Leo and his mother, Celia, had always spoken to each other in such a way. So much so, that when people would come to visit, they would think that Leo and Celia were either close friends or lovers, if they didn't know better.

"Just sit down and eat." She replied.

Looking at the table Leo could see a giant breakfast egg casserole. The steaming egg and the tasteful looking sausage which was layered on top caused Leo's mouth to salivate. For some reason the large breakfast sounded extra delicious at the moment.

Turning back towards his mother, Leo asked her about why the portion size was so large.

"What's up with the size?"

"Hm? What? You are still a growing boy, you should at least eat this much." She said, not looking him in the eyes.

"Growing boy? ...I'm 20, mom…" Leo responded, giving Celia a look as if she was stupid.

"Damn it, just eat!" She shouted, not liking the look her son was giving her.

"Pfft…Fine, Fine."

Leo knew his mom meant no harm, but he loved seeing her reaction so he kept talking back. Some people may find it weird but he thought his mom cute when she got mad. One time he said this to his friends and they called him weird for finding his own mom cute, but he just shrugged their opinion off.

Another thing his friends found weird about him was his protectiveness about his mom. But this wasn't just a one way street, as his mother was even more protective of him. Leo himself knew this wasn't normal but he couldn't really help it, so eventually he just embraced his

"Alright, I'm off to school."

After finishing breakfast, Leo got up and decided to head to school. Normally students lived on campus but his family's house was incredibly close to the college where he attended, so he chose to save money on housing and just walk to school every day.

"Alright, See you later." Celia responded in a non-motherly voice, but instead sounding like a friend seeing their company off.

With no more words Leo walked out of the door and shut it behind him, not knowing that the future had in store for him.

Back inside of the house, Celia sat down on the couch with a serious expression.

"Is his source awakening now?" She said aloud, speaking to herself.

"What took it so long to awaken? I left the clan and came down to earth, this lost world, so my son could live a normal life without discrimination. After all, over there strength is everything and a boy like him who's source wouldn't awaken would be a prime target for discrimination." She said, while gritting her teeth.

When Leo was born and his source was checked, it wouldn't awaken. Celia blamed herself greatly for this. The reason for this was because of the way Leo was born. She thought that because he was born a 'different' way than others, it somehow affected his source, causing it to not awaken.

Celia could tell that Leo had begun to awaken as soon as he came down stairs because of this vibe. He used to 'feel' like just a normal good looking 20 year old boy, but when she saw him today she thought he 'felt' more attractive, he 'felt' enticing to even her.

"I will need to talk to him about it when he gets home… I wonder… is this a good thing or is it bad..*Sigh*..only time will tell." She said, feeling both worried and excited about the future.

Inside of the college Leo went to, his day was just wrapping up.

"Alright, Class is over! Don't forget tomorrow's test, it's worth 10% of your grade!" As the professor spoke, the class collectively groaned. They may be in college but still! Who likes tests!

Leo didn't think too much about it, he was confident in his abilities and was sure he would make a good grade. Instead, he got up, left the lecture hall, and headed to the school's gym.

Normally Leo would workout on mondays but with his body being sore he decided to instead just play some basketball.

He quickly arrived at the gym and headed into the basketball court part of it. There he saw one of his friends already on the court, his name was John.

"Ay! Leo, we need another for a full team on team game, you down?" John shouted as he noticed Leo's presence.

"Yeah, let me put my stuff in a locker real quick."

Leo swiftly put his belongings into one of the gym lockers and appeared back on the court.

"Shirts or Skins?" He asked John.

"Hmm…Let's go with skins, are you all fine with that?" He asked the other team's leader.

After gaining the other team's approval, Leo's team took off their shirts and threw them to the side. But just as they were about to start the game another group of people came into the gym.

"Ay, one of your teams needs to leave." Shouted the man at the front of the group, presumingly their "leader".

"What? We were here first, you can get the next game, luke!" John shouted back.

John wasn't a big man by any means but he was known to not let himself get pushed around. Luke on the other hand was a fairly large man, with a stature that looked to be around the same as Leo's. And he was known to just be a jackass to people.

"We're getting this game. What the hell are you gonna do about it, huh, John!" Luke spoke while slowly getting into John's face and eventually met him face to face, or at least as close as he could get to his face. John only reached up to Luke's chest.

On the side, Leo was watching the drama. Him and John were not close friends by any means, hell, they were barely acquaintances, so Leo wasn't willing to get punched for him. But this time, Leo had an unbearable desire to punch the living shit out of Luke, not to protect John but just because he found Luke annoying. This desire swiftly grew and finally Leo decided to approach Luke.

"Luke, stop being a bitch and just wait." Said Leo with the intentions of provoking Luke.

"What did you call me!" Luke shouted back.

Hearing Luke's response Leo's face grew an odd smile, one he had never shown before, one that was laced with intent to fight.

"I believe I called you a bitch, no? Do you not understand what that means dumbfuck?"

Leo's words and his provoking smile finally got to Luke's head causing him to throw the first punch.

The world then seemed to slow down for Leo or maybe Leo could just comprehend what was going on extremely quickly because Leo turned his head to the left, dodging Lukes fist. He then sent a quick jab right into Lukes stomach, causing him to fall to the ground.

Seeing this Leo felt another strange feeling, extreme disappointment. Leo's smile instantly changed into a frown and then frustration. Unable to bear his frustration, Leo sent a kick into Lukes lower jaw, snapping his head back and causing his mouth to bleed from the impact.
