Heemani Scott was sleeping peacefully in her tiny bed. Her long blonde hair was covering her face, she doesn't enjoy waking up, there is nothing to wake up to, no hope for a better future, the thought of delivering spicy chicken and taking customers' orders irritates her.

Every girl's dream is to celebrate their 10th year birthday fabulously and to remember the beautiful celebration for the rest of their life. This dream was the opposite of what happened when she clocked ten years old. Her 10 years old birthday turned into an event that haunts her for the past 11 years.

She was a girl that once had it all, money, her mother's love, her father's love, and being adored by everyone. She lost it all which led to the death of her mother and her father being imprisoned for the atrocities he didn't commit.

Heemani and her elder brother Ezra left the country to live in the countryside with Grandma Bhumi. The Scott Family and Grandma Bhumi aren't related by blood, Heemani's father has known Grandma since his college days due to the love the Grandma shows the man, he grew attached to the Grandma and they became family.

After the Scott family loses it all, no one stayed by their sides not even their rich uncle and his family because they don't want to have anything to do with the family of criminal.

The only person left for the two children was Grandma Bhumi.

"Happy birthday to you"

" Happy birthday to you Princess".

They all sang in Chorus.

The family throws the party in a glamorous way, paparazzi are all present to capture the event of the day, to see prominent people that showed up at the party in one of the top Five Star Hotels in the country.

Heemani was wearing a long pink Disney Princess Gown with a crown, she was standing where the cake was to receive the gifts " Thank you so much for the gift, I hope we gather again like this for my next year's birthday" she said politely.

She received an expensive diamond necklace from her mother.

She received it with joy and happiness "I love you, mummy".

Mrs. Scott kisses her little princess's forehead and places the necklace around Heemani's neck, "It is specially made for you " she said and pin it for her on her neck smoothly.

Heemani Scott was having a lot of fun when a sudden sound disrupt the whole party. The colors red and blue surrounded the whole venue as the familiar sound of the police horns alarmed the guests.

"May I speak with you for a moment Mr. Max Scott?" Officer Clement asked. Mr. Max nods in approval.

"Mr. Scott, sorry to interrupt but you are under arrest for the stealing of confidential files, money laundering, and drug trafficking," he said loud and clear for everyone to hear

The paparazzi present didn't miss their shot, it turns out the next morning's news will be exclusive.

Bella Scott confront the policeman "Excuse me, young man, my husband won't do such a thing he earned his money from his blood and sweat, and he isn't the type that steals company files young man," Mrs. Bella Scott says proudly.

The crowd surrounded them to see what the problem was, Heemani and Ezra were also with their mother "Now if you may excuse us as you can see a celebration is going on young man" Bella Scott said.

"I am sorry ma'am, but the party can continue Mr. Scott just has to follow me to the station" Officer Clement said

"Call my lawyer " Mr. Max Scott whispered to Williams his assistant and followed the officer obediently.

The party disseminate, and all the guests went home after what they saw at the party, they didn't want to get involved with whatever crime the Scott family had done to get arrested like that. And that at their daughter's birthday.

A week after the scandal that has been brought upon the Scott family, Mr. Max Scott was found guilty of all the charges against him and was sentenced to 30 yrs in prison without the possibility of parole.

Just like a dream, Heemani's life shattered right in front of her without getting an explanation from anybody.

Their whole property was seized by the officials. The day Heemani and her brother saw their uncle and his family last was the day their mother was buried. They aren't ready to take the children into their homes because they see them as a liability.

Grandma Bhumi took the children with her to the countryside to live with her, the only memory Heemani has was the diamond necklace she received from her mother as a birthday gift.

"Heemani! Heemani! Heemani! wake up, big head!" Heemani's brother Ezra shook his sister's shoulder in an attempt to wake her up or she might be late for work.

Heemani woke up with drool on her left chin as Ezra grimaced at the sight of the drool and shook his sister even more. Soon, Heemani woke up and was shocked to see her brother looking like he was about to throw a bucket of water at her. "What are you planning to do to me?" she gazed at him suspiciously.

"I just saved your ass from getting late, how dare you suspect me? he looked disappointed.

" Whatever" she rolled her eyeballs. Ezra drags her from the bed to the floor "I will give you just 10 minutes to get ready otherwise I will leave you alone to sort yourself out" he warned and left her room.

"I will kill you at last," she said in an annoyed tone. She stands up sluggishly from the cold floor and heads to the bathroom.

Heemani grew up to be a beautiful young lady, having beautiful brown eyes, long blonde hair with a well-structured face, she has a slender body so she looks fragile but cute. She is tall and has a beautiful goddess body and look.

When it comes to handsomeness Ezra is not left out, he is the definition of what ladies want in men, Ezra had the kind face that stopped ladies and men in their tracks. He was used to that, the sudden pause in their natural expression when they looked at him followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant gaze and a weak smile.

Ezra's hair was naturally light blonde. He is tall and fit, and many people always mistake him for a model.

Ezra and Heemani both work in the country, the journey from the countryside to the country is just 30 minutes ride, the two work from morning to night and they will return home at night.

Before leaving the house, Grandma would pack both of their lunch boxes and give them to them.

In the evening, she would wait for them on the front porch of the house while she was knitting some winter sweaters, just like what she had always done since the two grown-ups had found jobs in the city.

Heemani finishes taking her bath. She wore a simple crazy Jean with a crop top and a jacket she rock it with the only sneakers she has, she look simple yet hot.

She went to the living room to meet Grandma Bhumi "How do I look?" she asked proudly.

"My beautiful princess, you looked just like Helen of Troy," she said.

Heemani laughed hard showing her gummy teeth "I am not that beautiful" she was a bit shy with the compliment.

"Nonsense, child! with this beauty that you beheld, you could launch a thousand ships" Grandma said. Heemani laughed so hard "Grandma! stop!" she said.

Ezra came out of his room wearing casual wear "Granny how do I look?" he interrupted their conversation.

"A born-to-be- CEO" she answered truthfully. They laughed out loud.

Grandma gave each of them their lunch boxes, and waved goodbye "See you later".

The two siblings work at different places, after the incident, they didn't get the chance to finish their education, a good friend of grandma who was a retired teacher, taught them the basics so that they can be able to stand up for themselves anywhere they go.

Ezra works at a Five Star Hotel, Smith Hotel & Suites while Heemani works at Park Spicy Crispy Chicken & Chips.

They board the bus going to the country and alight at the last bus stop, they both alight from the bus.

"Work hard and don't cause trouble," Ezra said and pat her head, the two went their way.

The restaurant Heemani works at opens by 8:00 am every day. Heemani was standing at the entrance of the restaurant, she unlocked her phone screen to check the time "Oh No! it's 7:30 am, that fat man is going to nag me all day, Da*n!" she cursed under her breath.

She opened the glass door and entered, she looked around like a predator looking for its prey, workers were moping the floor while some were dusting the chairs and tables.

"Good morning Heemani" A guy mopping the floor greet her.

She placed her right index finger on her lips "Shh!" she demonstrated. The workers understood the message she was trying to pass, they continue their work.

Heemani tiptoes towards the kitchen hoping she will make it to the kitchen without seeing the sight of her boss.

None of the workers informed her that the person she is running from was inside the kitchen, they wanted to inform her but she told them not to say anything.

Mr. Park came out of the kitchen, and their eyes met. "Fu*k?" she cursed under her breath. "Here comes my punctual staff," he said with a hint of sarcasm.

Heemani awkwardly smiled at him "Good morning Mr. Park" she greets the short fat man who was in his 50s.

Mr. Park pointed at one of the male staff cleaning "Bring a chair for me " he ordered. "Yes sir" the staff immediately dropped what he was doing and tend to his boss.

Mr. Park sat down on the chair with his legs crossed "What so good about the morning?" he asked her. Heemani moves toward him "Mr. Park, I am late due to traffic" she lied

"I live in the countryside it's kind of hard sir" she tries to explain her situation.

"Don't even say that" he said and pointed at five workers cleaning. "They all reside in the countryside also but they are always punctual" he proves her wrong.

"If you want to confuse me, give me tangible reasons, not petty ones," he said coldly. Heemani knew arguing with Mr. Park is the same thing as wasting your time "I am late due to my laziness" she said not wanting to prolong the matter.

Mr. Park is the kind of person that enjoys it when people accept they are wrong in front of him "I know it because of your laziness, you lazy bone" he scolds her.

"For not arriving at work at the right time you shall be punished" he smirked. "You shall make all the deliveries today," he said with a satisfied look.

"Any complain?" he asked.

"Yes I don't want to make deliveries," Heemani thought but could not voice out her desire. "No complaints sir" she bowed and went to the kitchen.

The Kitchen was the busiest part of the restaurant, the main cooking hasn't started, and the chefs were still garnishing the ingredients which are minor work in the kitchen.

Heemani's partner in all crimes a short slim lady named Sarah approaches her "That fat ugly man is annoying" Sarah whispered to Heemani's ears.

"That Idiot wants me to make all deliveries today" Heemani whispered to her friend's ears.

"You got this girl" Sarah encouraged her.

"Let's get to work," Heemani said. The two ladies prepared themselves for the day.

The restaurant is a very popular one because of their spicy chicken and crispy chicken, the total staffs are 20 plus the part-time workers, some are in charge of cooking, some are in charge of cleaning The restaurant was opened by 8: 00 am and start their busy day.
