Mushoku Tensei the Red Lion

"Dammit, this is going to make me cry."

I cried with tears running down my face.

I'm reading a Light Novel from a certain popular Isekai anime, that was said to be the Grandfather of Isekai.

As an Otaku, I've only heard of manga as the source materials that got an anime adaptation.

I sometimes read manga when an anime interests me so much, but I've never heard of a Light Novel before.

An anime was released that piqued my interest and finished the first season.

From there on with my research, the source material wasn't a manga but a Light Novel.

From there on I first started reading the novels, and I actually really enjoyed it.

I didn't expect I'd enjoyed it so much I read the entire first volume in a flash.

Starting there I read Volume after Volume, and until a month later I finished reading the entire series.

Although I switched from the Light Novels to the Web Novels, it doesn't actually matter.

The story itself changed something within me.

Rudeus Greyrat became my number one favorite protagonist.

That's why after I ended up reading the Epilogue, I couldn't help my tears from coming out.

Seeing the end of a fictional character I respected the most, made me truly satisfied.

"Huh?"

Before I could even consciously grasp what was happening, I could see the time slowed down around me.

It's a strange sensation.

I could see a crack in the space in front of me.

At first I thought it was just my imagination, but as minutes and hours passed by time still hasn't moved.

"What the hell's happening?"

When that thought entered my mind, danger signals were alarming throughout my entire being.

My life started to flash before my eyes.

Growing up in a middle class family.

Going to school.

Playing sports.

A crush I haven't confessed in middle school until high school.

A stressful college days.

And then now...

That's right, unlike Rudeus the protagonist I am just an ordinary guy who just happened to have interest on anime and manga.

I am not a bad or a good person either.

Just a background character that doesn't catch any interest to the audience.

I watched my life replayed a thousand times.

Until I finally felt my consciousness getting sucked into the cracked space...

When I opened my eyes, I could see myself in an unfamiliar room.

It was dark at night outside and yet the room was lit up with lamps.

"Huh?"

Something is strange.

Looking at the room around, it feels like an old historical building.

It looked like a residence of a wealthy person, and yet this place doesn't have electricity.

It was not until I realized that there was another person in the room when a nipple touched my nose.

Instinctively my stomach grumbled and my mouth opened.

"Huh?"

Suddenly I started to think if this is something of a weird dream.

I looked at the owner of the breast.

It was a beautiful woman with flaming red hair.

Her haggard face is filled with sweat, like she just came through a harsh labor.

She's the first person I've ever seen.

Like dominoes, my senses expanded and I found that there were actually multiple people in the room.

An old woman dressed like a maid, young women dressed in maid outfits and are wearing strange animal ears above their heads, a handsome nobleman, a strong looking old man, an old man wearing a butler's outfit, and most importantly another baby beside me wrapped in a clean white cloth.

I didn't recognize most of them, but some of the people here were really familiar to me.

For example, the strong looking old man looked exactly like Eris' grandfather in Mushoku Tensei.

It's like the old man is wearing super realistic cosplay.

No, it's not just the old man.

Everybody in this room looked similar to the characters in Mushoku Tensei.

The woman holding me looked exactly like Hilda.

The handsome looking young man looked exactly like Phillip.

And the old man that I previously described was actually Sauros.

"Did I reincarnate?"

It was unbelievable.

Before I could even process my thoughts to accept my situation, my drowsiness consumed me and I fell asleep.

Time passed and I spent my entire time accepting reality.

I actually reincarnated.

And in an anime world of my favorite story.

Although I didn't know exactly how it happened, I'm pretty sure it got something to do with that Reverse Miko in the future.

With the course of events in the future, having my memories is a big advantage.

When I'm physically strong enough, I'll have to write down everything I could remember about this world.

I can't possibly remember every detail of the story.

But the most important thing would be to never mention Hitogami's name to Orsted or I'll end up getting a hole in my chest.

I think that no matter how much I train with taking advantage of my memories and the knowledge about the mechanics of this world, I still wouldn't beat him.

Unless Hitogami has something to offer in equivalent exchange when he'll discover me.

I don't want to take sides on the battles between Gods.

But if I end up getting involved, I'll just have to cross the bridge when I get there.

Talking about the present situation, I ended up knowing that I'm actually Eris' twin brother.

Philip and Hilda Boreas Greyrat are my parents.

What a coincidence.

So that would mean I wouldn't end up living in this house together with them for long.

I remembered that Eris' brothers were sent to the main house in the Capital.

If the tradition of the Boreas family were to be followed, I'll be sent there soon.

And then one day a butler from the main house came to get me.

Although I don't understand the language they were speaking, I could read their emotions from their voices.

My mother Hilda was crying.

She was hugging me deep into her arms.

My father Phillip had a poker face, but deep inside I was really feeling bitter.

In the end Philip ended up convincing Hilda to hand me over or they're putting themselves at risk.

I was handed to the butler and then my wet nurse came to carry me.

The vulnerable baby that I am, had no power against my situation could only cry loudly until I fell asleep.

And the days continued to pass by...
