( Yuto Pov )

It's been 4 four years since I arrived n the Land of Shadows and training with Scathach. During this time period, Scathach and I came closer as I made my way into her heart.

Scathach:" I must admit the time I spent with you was quite the experience."

" Yeah, I guess so."

Scathach:" Hmm, what wrong, Yuto?"

" Wondering if I should save Artoria from her fate."

I didn't hesitate to tell Scathach as she was someone I could trust, telling her that I dont belong to this world and I knew of Artoria's fate.

I didn't tell her about the system or my transmigration. Only the fact that I came from a different world.

Scathach took my hand and held it between both of her hands.as she looked me in the eye.

Scathach:" To tell you the truth, Yuto, you always made my heart flutter in every waking moment. You always..."

Turning my head away, I interrupted her.

" Stop. If you're doing this so I you could keep my mind off of Artoria, then you should stop right here. I know I have to face the truth. No matter what I do, the world would always try to fix itself. Even if I save her, she would still suffer the same fate."

Scathach:" And we'll face it together, Yuto. It wasn't a lie when I told you how my heart beats to your singing, your touches, your warmth, your voice. I.. I think I'm falling in love, Yuto. "

Widening my eyes in surprise, I didn't care that I won the bet, but I felt disgusted with myself about how I talked about another woman in front of a woman who confessed her feelings to me.

Scathach knows how I felt spoke.

Scathach:" You don't need to worry, Yuto. It's fine, I know you're going to make a harem, and I approve, but I don't think we'll be able to be together after a year."

Giving her a gentle smile. I held her hand and spoke.

" And we'll spend our time together this year as much as we could."

Scathach gently smiled and rubbed my head.

Scathach:" Of course you will, I saw how hard you worked. Every day surpassing your limits. I'm proud of you, Yuto."

???:" I'm proud of you, Yuto!!"

My older sister, Kathrine. She was the daughter of my adoptive parents. That night when I arrived at my new home. She was excited to have a younger sibling.

Kathrine had blonde hair and red eyes. The eyes came from my adoptive father and blonde hair from my adoptive mother.

Ever since then, Kathrine would play with me, and we would play baseball.

The first time I hit a home run, I managed to make the team win first place in the championship game.

Katherine:" You should've seen it, dad, Yuto hit a home run!!"

Adoptive Father: Yes, we saw. Now come on, let's celebrate Yutos' first game."

Adoptive mother:" You did a great job, Yuto. I'm proud of you."

Katherine put her hand on my head, and I looked up to her, seeing her smile at me with the biggest smile.

Katherine:" I'm proud of you, Yuto."

That was the last time I saw her before she died in the car accident we had when we drove toward the restaurant.

Doctor:" I'm sorry, we did everything we could."

I didn't hear anything or noticed the divesting faces my parents had. I was still in shock as I replayed the memories of Katherine shielding me before the car crashed into us. Then I started to see her smile and her words back at the baseball tournament.

Sitting on a bench, I could hear the rain pouring outside hitting the window.

* Thud *

My mother fell, and my father tried to help her up, but I could see that he was trying his best not to fall as well.

The news hit them hard since they couldn't make another child after Katherine, so they had to adopt me. So since they can't make another child, they focused their love on me.

After the incident, my parents became depressed but managed to pull themselves together and started to focus their love on me as I was their only child left, even if I wasn't their biological son.

Every once in a while, we would visit Katherine's grave.

* Flashback end*

Scathach:" Are you okay, Yuto? you lost focus their."

" Yeah, I'm fine. Just remembering stuff."

Scathach:" You'll be alright, Yuto. I know you will."

She said as she leaned her head on my shoulder.

" I guess you're right."

We sat in silence watching Liz stuff her face cookies.

Liz:" Munch Munch."

It was a good thing I stocked up on ingredients before coming here.

Scathach:" How's the little dragon?"

" She's sleeping."

Scathach:" I see."

I managed to awaken the small bijuu dragon. and she did not like being forced to awaken. As she had released a large amount of mana to the surroundings destroying it. After that, I just let her be.

Though she does give me mana when I fight against Scathach.

Scathach:" She's still young, I'm sure she'll come around."

" Sigh, you're right. It feels like I'm raising a child."

Scathach:" You mean our child." She spoke with a teasing smile as she looked up to me.

Looking down at her, I smiled.

" Yeah, you could say that."

We both smiled at each other and sat in silence with Liz passed out on the table with a half eaten cookie.
