MMORPG: Looter Class (Hiatus)

It was early in the morning, 3:57 AM and the sun has yet to rise with the only source of light being the light posts that were on the sidewalks.

You would expect the streets to be completely empty this early in the morning but the streets were awfully busy this early in the morning.

This was a rare sight and the reason for such an occasion is because of the highly anticipated game called 'First World Online'!

People were in a frenzy as they talked about this game for the past two weeks and now the game will be sold to countless different stores across the galaxies.

"You have got to be kidding me! There's so many people here, how am I suppose to buy the game quickly! If only I didn't forget to set up my clock!" The young man could only sigh in anger to himself.

This young man is named 'Zoom', he planned on getting to the store early to be the first ones to buy the game but he forgot to set up his clock.

Zoom soon reached the store but the line stretched across the street showing how people were desperate to get their hands on this game as early as they could to get an advantage against other players.

As Zoom wallowed in despair his watch vibrated signalling that he had received a call.

His watched looked like a smart watch and with a simple tap on the top a transparent blue screen appeared in front of him, but luckily this screen could only be seen by the wearer which is a privacy measure created by the manufacturers.

Zoom accepted the call and a young man with curly hair and a slim physique appeared in the screen, the young man wore a uniform with a logo similar to the game store that Zoom was in currently.

This young man's name was Ken, Zoom's best friend.

Ken had a grin on his face as he noticed Zoom in a bad mood.

"The store's crowded eh? HAHAHAHA don't worry I got you, my dad specifically reserved one just for you and your family, we sent it to your house already, it should arrive any minute now, you don't have to pay for it, it's on me this time. I can't play right now but I'll catch up later, too many costumers." Ken sighed.

After hearing what Ken had to say, Zoom's mood immediately brightened as he wore a big smile on his face, went on to thank Ken and told Ken to say to his father that Zoom was grateful for the help.

Zoom didn't waste a second as he ended the call and went on his way home, with the help of his hover board he arrived in a few minutes to a big house, around 2000 square feet.

His house looked like a mansion but this was merely a slightly above average house, the quality of living has reached a point where the average home was 800 square feet in size.

Zoom lived in a random planet, twice the size of Earth located a few hundred light years away from the capital city of the nation where Zoom lived in.

After arriving Zoom saw a robot bring over the gaming set that Ken's father had sent, the robots placed a seal on the package which could be only opened by authorised people such as the receiver of the package, that being Zoom and his family.

After Zoom brought the package inside the house he took one out immediately and brought it to his room, it was an ordinary gaming setup, with only a headgear unlike the other popular games out there with full on suits and much more equipment.

"Looks simple, I hope this game will deliver." After a deep breath Zoom placed the headgear on.

Immediately Zoom vision closed but a second later Zoom appeared in the sky where he stood on the clouds which fully covered the ground and stretched for as far as he could see.

Ding!

"Enter your name!" A voice echoed through the sky and a screen appeared in front of Zoom which was were the name could be entered, and immediately Zoom entered his name.

"The name 'Zoom' is currently available, would you like to choose this name?"

"Yes!"

After saying yes a new screen appeared which was a class selection list, Zoom scrolled up and down looking for a class suitable for him.

There were countless classes but nothing seemed to satisfy him, everything looked generic with mostly the same classes, the newer classes didn't intrigue Zoom enough for him to gamble on this new class.

"There's too many to choose from... I wonder which one."

Zoom pondered for a while and still couldn't pick out something he liked, remembering that he was in a time crunch Zoom decided to get a mage class.

"Mage it is." Zoom sighed.

Bzzz... Bzzz...

Before Zoom could click on the screen the screen buzzed and was fading out.

"Is this a glitch? Weird, a glitch like this shouldn't happen."

But after a few seconds where the screen kept buzzing and fading in and out the screen returned to normal like nothing happened.

Zoom was still stunned from the incident and in pure curiosity he scrolled the list once again for any changes.

The list barely changed but something caught his eye.

This class was something new and Zoom has yet to encounter such a class in all the MMORPG games he had played, this class was called the 'Looter Class'.

"This looks new, looter class eh?" Zoom clicked on the name but unlike the other classes this class didn't have any description, it was a gamble for Zoom to pick this class, this class could either be the game changer he needed or the class that would pull him down.

After a deep breath Zoom said.

"It's a gamble, this makes me want to choose it even more, I can't keep going on the path that everybody chooses, I have to go on a path of my own, something that will differ me from the rest no matter the result... No fear." With his mind set Zoom chose the Looter Class.

"You are the first and only player who has the class called 'Looter Class'! Good luck player!"
