With his mother gone, Richard finally focused on the man in red who had launched the metal bar in their direction. Without hesitation, Richard rushed out of the shattered coffee shop as Queen created a suit to hide his identity, knowing that at the moment, Richard had stopped reasoning and was out for blood.

The suit looked like something from a sci-fi movie. It was practical enough for Richard to wear in a fight and normal enough that it didn't look like a superhero suit. Richard didn't care about aesthetics at the moment, but Queen did, as she created patterns that ran down the entire suit, making Richard look like a soldier from the future.

Richard, on the other hand, appeared before Magneto at speeds no one expected. He grabbed onto the man's head as he performed a flip, with his head still in hand, and threw him straight into the ground. Before Magneto could even figure out what was happening, he was already inside a crater with Richard once again near him, this time with a sword he had formed out of his hand.

Though he couldn't see the eyes of his attacker, Erik could feel the bloodlust emitting from him. This was a man who wanted his head, and he planned to get it. With that knowledge, Erik quickly enhanced his own strength, as he had done many times in the past to fight the X-Men and any other being he had faced.

Seeing the attacker closing in on him, Erik flew out of the crater, letting Richard smash into the ground and create a small cloud of dust. Seeing that Erik had escaped from the crater, Richard immediately dashed out, heading for Erik, who was ready to face him.

Their fists met each other with such force that several windows shattered, but the two involved didn't seem to care. Richard, in particular, was unaffected by the punch as he immediately went in for a second one, but luckily Erik managed to block it. For maximum attack, Richard grew two extra arms from below his current ones.

His new physiology allowed him to achieve many things, from flight to molecular manipulation, so this was extremely easy for him to accomplish. The two exchanged blows at rapid speeds, with Richard having the upper hand because of his extra arms and continuous enhancement of his strength.

After a few more exchanges, Richard finally managed to catch Erik's hands with his upper arms, then proceeded to turn his legs into those of a massive snake, wrapping himself around the man. Richard planned to squeeze the life out of him or, if that wasn't possible, simply paralyze him, as the bar would have done to his mother if it had hit her.

"Richard, stop! This isn't how things are done," Charles finally spoke up as the rest of the X-Men immediately jumped into battle.

Scott blasted Richard off Erik's body with his powers, and Jean restrained him with some of the heavy metal in the scene, but Richard simply melted away from it as he resumed his attack on the unconscious man, with four arms raining down punches without relenting for even a millisecond.

"My powers aren't working on him; his mind doesn't feel right," Charles spoke after trying to put Richard to sleep.

"His mind isn't human… Did he turn himself into a cyborg?" Jean asked after she, too, gave it a try but couldn't connect with him.

"Let me," Storm said as she slowly levitated into the sky. As she ascended, the sky also changed.

A second later, she summoned the biggest lightning bolt the group had ever seen, letting it strike Richard. As soon as Richard felt the electricity on his skin, he dashed out of the crater, letting it strike Erik/Magneto at speeds that should be impossible for a human.

"That should finish the job," Richard said as he began walking toward the crater to check if the man was dead or if he should continue his pounding.

"He still has some pulse. Jean, get him to the Blackbird," Scott ordered after he and Logan checked up on the roasted meat that once used to be Erik Lehnsherr.

Hearing them, Richard felt the urge to finish the job but decided against it. After all, he had done more than enough. By his scans of the man's systems before the lightning, it would take him at least two to three years to fully recover, and if his increased healing is taken into account, it will take him at the very least two years to get back to his usual self.

"You!" He heard a voice call as he turned to its source, only to see Storm flying toward him.

"Hey… nice teamwork!" Richard shouted when he saw her. After all, she was the one who dealt the last blow.
