Chapter 256: Experiment

After regaining his powers and reaching a new level, Reverse-Flash became somewhat uneasy.

He looked at Jack with great shock.

This seemingly ordinary man not only absorbed his speed but also took him to a new peak with just a casual wave of his hand.

Jack said, looking up at the sky. He nodded with a serious expression and suddenly looked at Reverse-Flash.

Jack glanced at the fake paralysis of Reverse-Flash while stirring his coffee.

He said, "Honestly, why are you pretending to be paralyzed? Sitting all day, aren't you afraid of getting hemorrhoids?"

Reverse-Flash, who was enjoying his delicious coffee, almost spat it out.

"Dr. Wells" calmly wiped the coffee from the corner of his mouth and sighed.

Jack shook his head and chuckled.

If he had not done that, angry investors would have torn Dr. Wells apart the day after the particle accelerator exploded.

"Understanding human nature is actually quite simple. It falls within the fields of logic and psychology. Once you grasp the right methods, understanding a person is easy."

Dr. Wells rolled his eyes and looked at Jack with a confused expression on his face.

"But I can't figure you out. Why did we come here?"

Eddie took a deep breath and tried to calm his racing heart as he looked at his busy girlfriend behind the counter.

The palm of his hand holding the ring box was already sweaty. He had never been this nervous, even in the face of a heartless armed robber.

And all of this was because he was about to propose.

He didn't know what had gotten into him.

After leaving the police station, he had a strong desire to see Iris, to be with her all the time, and never to be apart from her.

After his " supernatural incident, " he needed Iris' comfort. He then came here.

"Eddie, aren't you supposed to be at the police station? How come you're free..."

Iris started to speak but was interrupted when Eddie suddenly knelt on one knee, looking up at her.

After a brief moment of shock, Iris immediately realized what he was about to do. She put her hand over her mouth and looked at him with tears in her eyes.

"Eris, I want you to know,"

Eddie looked at Iris with affection, and his deep voice had a power that was hard to describe.

"I fell in love with you at first sight, but I did not realize how much I love you until today. Every decision I have made in my life has been different because of you. As long as I have you by my side, my life has value, no matter how long it is. You taught me how to love, and if it were not for you, I would not even believe in love. So, I want to do everything I can for you for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?"

Finally, Eddie took out the ring box that had long been soaked by his sweaty hand.

He opened it, revealing a platinum ring with a heart-shaped diamond resting quietly inside.

Tears flowed down her face, Iris looked at Eddie, who was full of excitement and a little bit of nervousness.

How could she bear to refuse?

"I do!"

Seeing her lover nod through her sobs and utter those words, Eddie couldn't contain his excitement.

He jumped up from the floor and hugged Iris tightly.

The people who were watching cheered and sent their blessings.

However, in the corner of the coffee shop, Reverse-Flash had a frustrated expression.

Well, perhaps it was even worse than that.

"This is bad..."

Eobard subconsciously looked at Jack, only to find Jack looking at him curiously.

After a while, Reverse-Flash slammed the table.

"As expected! The experiment was successful!"
