Meeting before the end

" Why did you bring me here?"

Hal asked Crystal as he and the woman walked along the shores of the sareth ocean.

" I thought the sea would help relax your mind with everything that's going on. You've been going out to help our Elite's in battle more and more every day. I figured I'd be a good wife and help ease your mind."

Crystal said to the man.

Hal smiled and grabbed his wife and spun her around in the air making Crystal laugh happily. He then placed her back on the ground and kissed her softly on the lips.

" Thank you, Crystal but you didn't need to do all of this for me. You simply being there for me at the end of these grueling battles is enough to make me happy."

Hal said to the woman, making her smile.

" Maybe, but every once in a while, I do like to treat my man like the royalty he is."

Crystal said to the man.

The two enjoyed their moment together until Hal's ring began beeping.

" What is it, Hal?"

Crystal asked the man in worry.

" I'm sorry, Crystal it seems I'm needed on the battlefield again. Atom just sent me a message saying he needs me to meet him and the Starjammers immediately."

Hal explained to the woman.

" I see."

Crystal replied downtrodden.

Hal grabbed the woman and pulled her into a tight hug.

" Crystal, I love you with all my heart. And it hurts me to have to leave you so often. But I promise you when this is over, I'll spend as much time with you as possible. So, much time you'll grow tired of my awesome jokes."

Hal exclaimed. As he talked, he could see Crystal beginning to smile underneath her hair.

" I'll hold you to that, my love. You better come back to me, or else I'll find you in the afterlife and kick your ass."

Crystal said to the man.

" I promise you, I'll always come back.'

Hal said to the woman. He leaned down and kissed her softly on her lips before flying up into space.

Hal flew deep into space and met the Starjammers on their ship.

" Hey, guys what's going on?"

Hal asked as Atom and the others greeted him.

" Hal, it's good to see you. How are you and Crystal enjoying your married life?"

Lorna asked.

" We're actually doing... Well, it's amazing really. She's amazing, her kindness and care for the people and her I mean she's just... Wow!"

Hal explained to the woman

Lorna smiled and laughed at the man.

" Well, I'm glad to hear it. She may not be married to my brother anymore but she's still like a sister too me. So, you better treat her right."

Lorna threatened the man.

" Once this war is over, I plan to spend as much time as possible with her as possible. To treat her like the princess she actually is."

Hal said to the woman getting a nod in return.

" Now, what's going on? I doubt you guys asked me all the way out here to talk about my married life."

Hal joked as he looked at the group.

" Now, Hal. I'm going to need you to stay calm and collected and not freak out Okay?"

Atom expaliend to the man.

" Okay."

Hal said in confusion.

" No! I mean I can't express to you the need for you to remain as calm as possible."

Atom wanted to make sure Hal was going to keep his composure.

" Yes, I promise to keep my cool, Now, come on out with it. You pulled me away from a beach date with my wife. What could be more important than that?"

Hal asked.

" Okay, You two come out!"

Atom yelled out for his two new guests to come forward.

And out from the shadows Lilandra and Gladiator appeared. Hal's eyes widened and he attacked Gladiator on site.

" YOU!!!"

Hal yelled as he blasted the man.

" Hal Stop!"

Atom yelled as he got between Hal and Gladiator.

" Why are you stopping me?"

Hal asked in genuine anger and confusion as Gladiator was one of the men to attack his people.

" Look, Gladiator changed sides. He's supporting Lilandra and is going to help her get her throne back."

Atom explained to the man.

" What? The guy who's been so Pro-Vulcan is all of sudden switching sides? I don't believe it."

Hal exclaimed in disbelief.

" It is true. For a long time i have hated Vulcan's rule. I can no longer support it. I can understand if you do not trust me after all that has happened, but you should trust your friends and Lilandra. They have fought alongside you for a long time."

Gladiator explained to Hal as he got back to his feet.

" Black bolt is not going to like this."

Hal growled.

" You can't tell them yet."

Atom said to the man.

Hal turned and looked at him like he was crazy.

" Crystal is my wife, she's going to ask me about this meeting."

Hal said to the man.

" Then don't tell her about Gladiator, just tell her we got Lilandra back."

Atom said to the man.

" I'm not going to lie to my wife's. She's been to supportive of me and kind to me to betray her trust like that, Nate."

Hal explained to the man.

" I'll make a compromise. I won't tell Black Bolt. but whether or not Crystal chooses to is up to her."

Hal said to the man.

" I guess that's all we can hope for. That works."

Atom said back to the man realizing any other argument would be rendered pointless.

" What are you going to do now, Hal?"

Lorna asked the man.

" Return to my wife and inform her of these developments."

Hal replied.

" Well, then while you're there tell the royal family that we're planning an assault on the Homeworld. We plan to end things soon, and we won't Black Bolt to participate. If he can't make it then we hope you'll at least be there."

Atom explained to the man.

Hal looked at the man and sighed before speaking.

" I can't promise Black Bolt will agree. In fact I highly doubt he or any of the royal family will leave Hala. But you have my word I'll be there."

Hal said to the group before leaving the ship.

His return was a long and complicated one as he went over what he was going to say to Crystal.
