Chapter 28: Conquest By Combat

First General's Tent, Medinan Encampment, Outskirts Of Nestra...520 B.C...

Night fall brought with it the appointed spoils of celebration for the war had been long fought between the warriors of Medina and the surge of Nestra the tainted fallen kingdom. Once again the second prince of Median Lycidas reigned supreme due to his legendary combat prowess and his innate desire to see his homeland of Median free from strife for the foreseeable future. He had more than enough reason to fight for the security of his home beforehand, but with his wife expecting yet another child and the recent impregnation of his newly favored servant girl, He was likely to add two more sons to the list of his lineage and wanted to make sure they entered a peaceful world where they could grow as their brother and sister had for yet a while longer before they too joined the ranks of the legendary armies that defended their homeland and made names for themselves while achieving glory untold.

The fires burned hot and bright against the night sky as the victorious men sang loud relishing their long and hard-fought victory while they drank their untainted mead and traded stories of similar battles and the vicious defense of their second prince when faced with insurmountable odds on the field of battle. The men were eager to venture home, to be with their wives and see how much their respective children had grown in their long three-month absence.

None had been more eager to return to the familiar walls of Medina than Lycidas himself as he moved about the camp still soaked in the dried blood of his enemies as he drank a mug or two of mead and listened to the stories and songs around him. He'd been quite proud of his men, even more so proud of young Caxton who had managed to take down quite a few enemies with his bow.

Lycidas enjoyed his time with his men, those that survived the battle that was as a good deal were lost during the siege of Nestra and honored in full once the fighting had come to an end. Of all the things Lycidas had to be proud of during this three-month campaign, he was most proud of the fact that Tenius the vile no longer drew breath and that King Milkus could finally rest now that his murder was properly avenged.

To be a kingslayer was a crime that Lycidas could never forgive and it sickened him to no end to see anyone legitimizing the fiend's claims on the throne. He was relieved beyond measure to finally be rid of the menace that Tenius the vile and his cowardly generals posed and once more ensure the prosperity and peace that Medina would enjoy for quite some time.

Having been pleased by the amusement of his men, Lycidas ventured back to his tent for some much-needed rest following the events of the long and hard-fought battle. He had been looking forward to the return to his homeland where he did not doubt that his wife had been on the verge of giving birth to his third child and possible second-born son. The blood-soaked warrior collapsed into his makeshift bed and stared up at the hide stitch ceiling of his tent as he recalled just what awaited him on the return trip.

It was an all-encompassing feeling adding to his glorious reputation in a matter of months following his expert combat prowess seeing the men to victory, but he was much more interested in his legacy in the form of his greatly amassing number of children.

It pleased Lycidas to no end to find out before setting off for war that Lena the servant girl who had become his lover at the behest of his pregnant wife, was also expecting his unborn child. The visions of strapping sons and his most precious little girl terrorizing the main city and bringing more honor and glory to his name were all that he had ever wanted. His men had been none the wiser, despite his various feats in battle and the height of his reputation, Lycidas the wolf of Medina had been more a family man at heart and only ventured from the sure walls of Medina in a bid to keep his people and immediate family protected.

While the vivid memories of the bloody and brutal battles had been at the forefront of his mind following the war's epic conclusion, Lycidas found himself wistfully recalling the night before his departure and the time he'd spent with both of the women in his life.

Mira had been the only woman who had captivated him for years on end until she introduced him to their servant girl, Lena who had done more than captivate him in the short manner of time in which she'd been relegated to sharing his bed.

Lycidas smiled in the darkness as he lay back on his makeshift bed, recalling the night before his departure and how he had spent a good deal of time with the women in his life as they collectively anticipated the arrival of the new lives they had each contributed to creating in the late hours of the night.

His keen ears recalled the hushed whimpering of the servant girl in contrast to the elated shouting of his wife that filled the air the night he had elected to take them both in the center of his bed the night before his departure. The children were fast asleep and he did not doubt in his mind that the servant girls who had lingered after hours were eavesdropping on the events of the exchange where his wife' who had quite the aptitude for showing off, allowed them to hear and evy the waves of pleasure she'd been experiencing via her rapidly thrusting husband despite the roundness of her belly from expecting their third born child.

Once she'd been done, he shifted toward the lovely servant girl who had also been expecting his unborn child, and the moment he sunk his already slick cock into her warm and inviting depths she moaned and reached for him while his wife watched with fascination as they began to rut like animals in the wake of the joining.

Lycidas had begun to see the benefits of having a second wife, but unlike his father when dealing with his various wives, he meant to have them both in his bed.

Lena stared up at him as he devoured her pretty young mouth in a series of heated kisses and the noises of her pleasure filled his ears. The hours rolled on and he had not even remotely gotten enough of her. She clung to him amid the sweat and the scent of sex from his true wife as if she had not cared that he belonged in all decency to another as he had already filled her young womb with his rapidly growing seed and she felt closer to him still.

Lycidas in the present sighed as his mind once more traveled back to the last night he'd slept with both of the women who held his affections in his arms. There was a pleasant peace that they brought him and the endless possibilities of a bright future along with it. He smiled when he thought of how good it would feel to finally return home after three long months on a campaign to ensure their welfare.

The pleasant thoughts of home had been enough to allow him to forgo the blood and death that war had brought and relax amid the inner peace of knowing he had people to return to when all the fighting and travels had been done. They would each head back to Median come the first lights of dawn, and yet another triumphant homecoming was to be celebrated.
