Crimson Tides
In the present day, two detectives interrogate Akemi - the infamous and still-mysterious boss of the long-collapsed Crimson Rose yakuza clan. Through Akemi's flashbacks to 1920s Tokyo, the story follows her rise to power alongside her younger brother Kaito, who once acted as her light in the darkness. With Kaito's presence, Akemi experiences moments of levity amidst her ruthless reign. But an unknown betrayal left Crimson Rose in ruins almost a century ago. As secrets from the past come to light, the story delves into themes of family bonds, power, and the complex motives and masks that can tear loved ones apart. Against the backdrop of Prohibition-era Tokyo, the detectives search for clues to finally uncover the truth behind Crimson Rose's enigmatic downfall.
