Chapter seven: Academy

Jace's Pov

"Hey man, you ready? Training starts in 10"

Jake said as he walked into my room with Felix and Matty trailing in behind him.

"I heard the girls team having training too today and at the same time too, isn't that like going to clash with yours?" Matty said a bit nonchalantly.

"Who cares the clashing, that's like really cool, we get to see those hot girls in their swimsuit" Felix said excitedly while Jake threw a pillow at him.

"Leave it to the youngest to be the most corrupt minded" Jake said and we all laughed.

I picked up my training bag and put on a sneakers.

"Alright then, let's go see some pretty ladies" I said jokingly making the boys laugh as we headed out.

"But in my defense, I'm only corrupt cause I hang out with y'all" Felix said referring to Jake's comment causing us to laugh more.

I took my car with Jake and Felix in it while Matty rode his bike. Matty looked like the fiercest, roughest and coldest one among us but he was nothing like that, he couldn't even harm a fly.

He dresses like a mafia though but only because of family reputation and stuff, funny and weird as it is, his favorite colour is pink which looks nothing like the dark or black colours he's always wearing.

On the other hand, Felix who was the youngest, and looked the most friendliest was indeed the meanest.

As an only child of a multi billionaire, he was so used to getting whatever he wanted that he didn't care how he got it.

He's also really tough when you try to mess with him or 'his people'.

Then we have Jake, our mother hen. He has to be the most friendly person I know, literally and he gives great advice.

We got to the training center, Jake and Felix went in first, I had to find a new parking spot since mine was being occupied by a familiar but not too familiar car.

I strolled in after parking at the far end of the parking lot which was annoying.

Just before I got to my training hall, I saw a face I didn't dream of seeing here.

"You've got to be kidding me".

"Erika"

I lashed out, the displeasure of this meeting showing on my face.

"Oh why, if it isn't my love Jace"

She mimicked an English accent as she spoke which sounded annoying of course.

"What a coincidence meeting you here" she continued as she reached out her hand and touched my face.

"How is it a coincidence when you know I train here" I replied in disgust when she laughed, pissing me off even more.

"Why are you here?" I asked, hoping it wasn't what I was thinking and that she came to see someone or something but no, she opened her mouth and her words confirmed my thoughts.

"Isn't that obvious already, this is a training center with a dance class open to enrolling student. I'll be going here now" she replied with a smile.

I was about asking her why here, but figured she was only trying to get on my nerves so I smirked and said.

"Enjoy your time here then" took her hands off my face and walked away leaving her standing at the spot.

"Hey man, class has started already and I'm too scared to enter, Miss Harley might chew me off for coming late, can you come in with me?"

Matty cried out as soon as he saw me pulling me by arm while I chuckled.

Like I said before, Matty's too soft to harm a fly, good thing he doesn't have to take over their empire since Claude, his older brother would be doing that.

I peered into their training center and yes, she did look scary, singing at the top of her voice, it reminded me of a scene where a dragon was about spitting fire, weird I know, but true.

"Man up Matty, you're a supposed gangster, put on your stoic face and she wouldn't dare say a word"

I tried to encourage him to go in but he laughed at my speech but eventually decided to go in.

I was bout leaving when he called me back.

"You good though? you looked kinda gloomy earlier" he asked

"Yh I am, just happened to run into Erika"

"Your cheating ex?!! shoot"

"It's fine, I have to leave now, I'm late too"

We said our goodbyes and I headed for my training center, just before I got in, I saw someone rush into the dance training center, I kinda felt this feeling of familiarity but I shook it off, my thoughts were already distorted from seeing Erika.

Emma's Pov

     One thing that never changed, no matter which city we moved to was my love to dance. I'd always find a dance academy and enroll.

It took me about three weeks to find this one and it's not exactly a dance academy, it's a training center with different academies under it, but it's the best I got so I decided to enroll.

Pete drove me down, to help me go through the registration, I had stepped out of the office to use the restroom when I spotted Jace, he was standing next to a girl, who had turn his face to an armrest.

I can read player all over him. I used the restroom and rushed back to the office.

After we were done with the registration, I walked Pete back to his car, was planning to take a cab back home so I bid him goodbye while I rushed to join the class.

This might as well be the only fun thing in this city and I was going to enjoy it to the fullest.....
