LightHearted follows the half-breed: Toranto Kamala, born into the Denomi Kingdom. This land was ruled primarily by the people of this world classified as "Demons." His mother worked tirelessly to ensure that he would have a successful life, and for a while it almost seemed possible. This dream, however, would not come to fruition as the Denomi Kingdom would fall under the dictatorship of a being known as Plague. With nowhere to go, having lost his home, Toranto would slowly resolve himself to survive through and retaliate against the regime completely alone. Eventually, the strain would become too much for his mind and body to handle, succumbing to the sickness infecting his home, he would accept his fate. But, his soul was saved by a demi-human: Marilyn Monoeye, leader of a military reconnaissance team from a neighboring kingdom. Slowly integrating into Marilyn's group, Toranto would find a new family to call his own. With the rest of the world ignorant to the truth within the Denomi Kingdom, its people would fall deeper under the control of Plague, waging war against its neighboring kingdoms. With a second chance at life and no longer alone, Toranto would finally be ignited to end the war and save his home.
