That young man looked so confused as if he is thinking something. Actually, Huang Jing Er just doesn't understand this rude man but on the other side, he will lead her to something about Huang Jing Er was curious the most.

"Xiao Chen. Just call me Xiao Chen." He said and looked at Huang Jing Er calmly.

"Xiao Chen?" Huang Jing Er asked Xiao Chen back.

"Uhm…"

"Then tell me why we have to get out of the capital city? Do you know?! I made a long journey to the capital city but now you force me to follow you! Just give me a reason why I have to follow you!" Huang Jing Er is annoyed and she gets panicked because she can't contact An Ping and Xiao Ran.

Xiao Chen just looked at Huang Jing Er with a cold gaze.

"Because you have promised me so I claimed it." Xiao Chen gives the answer and his answer just makes Huang Jing Er burst to explode.

"When I promised you?" Huang Jing Er asked him because she is so curious.

Xiao Chen come to a step forward and looked at Huang Jing Er's eyes. The distance between them is so near and almost makes Huang Jing Er take a step backward.

"What do you afraid of?" Xiao Chen asked her.

Huang Jing Er looked into Xiao Chen's intimidating eyes while she try her best to not get affected by his gaze.

"Why… why… I have to be… afraid… of you?!" Huang Jing Er can't help but her voice trembled.

"So why do you have to ask me as if I will do something to you?" Xiao Chen takes a deep breath before looking at Huang Jing Er again.

"We just met so that's normal if I feel like this, right?"

Xiao Chen looked so confused because Huang Jing Er seems clueless like there is something unusual here.

"We ever meet before so please don't act like this. Alright?" Xiao Chen said to him.

Huang Jing Er looked at Xiao Chen. She still doesn't understand this weird man because he always said something that she doesn't understand.

"Wait! Xiao Chen, I think you must be wrong. I will never ask your name if I ever know you before. Or…" Xiao Chen stopped. "That's better if we are going right now." He said while looking around.

Xiao Chen grabs Huang Jing Er's back collar and just in a few seconds, Huang Jing Er can feel that her body becomes so thin as she jumps between one tree to another tree. Actually, she just wants to ask Xiao Chen about this but just in a second, she can see a lot of arrows that targeting to them.

"What is it?!" Huang Jing Er is startled because of a lot of problems that come to her after she comes to the Capital City even after she gets off the city, Huang Jing Er still has to face another problem.

Xiao Chen can hear Huang Jing Er clearly but he doesn't have time to give her the answer because he is so concerned about avoiding the arrows. Xiao Chen can think any longer and lay his arm on Huang Jing Er's waist. Huang Jing Er looks so panic but she doesn't say anything because she was in chaos right now.

Xiao Chen accelerates his moves even they don't have any idea who wants to attack them. Or perhaps there is someone who wants them dead? Huang Jing Er can't think anything right now because what she wants is to get out of this place safely but at the same time, she can't use her craft here.

Xiao Chen just landed on the ground before he grabs Huang Jing Er's wrist and bring her to running get into the forest and made no option for Huang Jing Er but to follow him. They are running together going through the thick haze. They stop once when the attack of arrows was stopped.

"What happened here?" Huang Jing Er is gasping for breath. She looked so tired and frustrated at the same time.

Huang Jing Er can't see anything here except the thick haze and Xiao Chen standing beside her.

"I don't know either." Xiao Chen responded to Huang Jing Er's question.

"Do you have an enemy?" Huang Jing Er asked him.

"How can you ask me that question? I think this question is suited to you more instead." Xiao Chen mocks her but Huang Jing Er doesn't understand.

"But how can? I just arrived at the Capital City and I have experienced a lot of bad lucks." Huang Jing Er frowned her forehead.

"So do you really don't understand what happened?" Xiao Chen asked her back

"Uhm… I don't understand." Huang Jing Er muttered.

Xiao Chen just looked at Huang Jing Er as if he just wondering what he had just heard from Huang Jing Er's mouth.

"Why do you look at me like that way?" Huang Jing Er protested.

"Because you look-alike my old friend." Xiao Chen said while he take a deep breath as if he just released his burden from his chest.

Huang Jing Er almost choked when she heard what Xiao Chen said because she never thinks that her face as a man will look like someone.

"Hey, are you serious?" Huang Jing Er asked him

"Yes." Xiao Chen looked a little bit gloomy then he take a deep breath before looking at Huang Jing Er again.

"Then tell me, where is your friend right now?"

"No one knows." Xiao Chen responded to Huang Jing Er's question as if he doesn't care about that person but at the same time, Huang Jing Er feels that Xiao Chen so cares about that friend but she decide to not tell anything because she thinks this is not her concern, right?

Huang Jing Er has to remind herself that she has to find out everything about Li's family, not Xiao Chen's old friend.

But no one knows how fate can turn it into something else, right?
