"Kill them!"
"Don't let those guys escape! We have the numerical advantage; we can kill them even if we pile on top of them!"
"Attack!"
The sudden loss of twenty men had unleashed the ferocity of the criminals. As men who had danced around death, they were accustomed to bloodshed.
If Jun had wanted a greater numerical advantage, he could have had it, but the men accompanying him were no ordinary soldiers. In just these moments, they had already killed over a hundred enemies.
In the next instant, the hundreds of surviving enemies, who had made it through the rain of arrows, immediately collapsed upon Jun's forces, suffocating their space of movement.
Even if they had to resort to attrition warfare, the criminals were determined to kill the men before them.
"What do we do?" Shen asked Jun with concern, seeing the dense group of men slowly approaching.
At the same time, his sword swiftly flew to slaughter the enemies advancing toward them, eliminating one after another with each stroke of his hand.
Shen was an expert, and though he had not surpassed the training created by Jun, he was still quite strong. However, even someone like him felt the immense pressure from the tightening encirclement. His clear forehead was drenched in sweat, and both his stamina and spirit were rapidly depleting.
"Don't panic!" Jun said calmly, his eyes carefully observing the surrounding movements.
The front line was divided into three positions: Shen was fighting assassins trying to break through the right side of the battlefield, Shao was at the front, and Jun was at the back, directing the archers.
Behind this group of untrained criminals were the assassins of the White Crane and Shiyuu Clans, where Yuu Ren was waiting for him.
But what they didn't know was that Kyou Kai was leading a group of five hundred men, slowly approaching from behind, ready to ambush the enemy.
Meanwhile, Jun had moved closer to the battlefield, yet he had not drawn his sword, relying completely on the subordinates he had personally trained for two years.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Even though he had no intention of killing ordinary criminals, there were some who sought his life, and so he took the trouble to move his sword just once to make it a fair fight.
Index finger, middle finger, ring finger... Jun's ten fingers moved in succession, launching powerful attacks that were barely visible, one after another. Each struck with precision at the glabella, neck, or heart of an approaching enemy.
Most of the time, Jun's sword cuts seemed directed at a certain enemy, only to suddenly veer off at a critical moment, striking the vital organs of another enemy nearby.
The rapidly shifting trajectory introduced unpredictability into Jun's attacks, making his offensive more terrifying than ever. Among the attacking group, perhaps only the strongest, Shao, could match him in kills, and Jun wasn't even trying yet.
"It's about time!"
Sensing the constantly changing movements of the enemy's encircling formation, Jun suddenly clenched his right fist and raised it, leaving only his thumb pointing toward the sky.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Just as the criminals were about to overwhelm Jun with their sea of bodies, a loud roar, reminiscent of a mountain collapsing, suddenly echoed from behind them.
Once again, explosive arrows rained down on the enemy infantry, and as they were still recovering, over two hundred warriors charged forward, quickly forming a line.
Spears were at the front, swords in the rear, and this formation stretched across the enemy's army.
A two-line formation was exactly what they needed—a unique fighting style that resulted in the massacre of anyone who dared to attack them.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
When the enemies tried to break through the line, they were repelled—some with spears through their chests, and the next moment, swords replaced the spears to continue the attack.
This combined assault allowed Jun's army to annihilate their enemies in such a simple manner that few were even wounded.
Moreover, when the enemy cavalry was about to engage, Jun mobilized his own cavalry, and once again, three hundred more soldiers overwhelmed the battlefield.
History repeated itself. Faced with the furious charge of cavalry, the assassins were trampled, thrown into the air, or shaken by their martial halos.
A charging cavalry soldier could no longer be judged by their battle level against a foot soldier. In terms of strength, their prowess should be several levels higher.
At least before they slowed down, there wasn't a single person among the criminals who could weaken their attack.
"AHHHH!"
Loud screams echoed incessantly among the bandits. The enclosure that had barely closed around Jun's group suddenly broke apart and shattered.
The archers prevented the assassins from approaching the infantry battle against the criminals, so it was only a matter of time before they finished massacring the enemy in segments.
"Let's go!"
"Damn it! Don't let those bastards escape!"
"Chase them!"
"Kill them!"
The bandits panicked immediately. Had so many of their own died, yet their opponents won without a single casualty?
How could the bandits tolerate this?
But before the enemy reinforcements arrived, the trees in the forest trembled, and within moments, battalions of two hundred men began to join the battle while others watched.
The enemy infantry felt as if a massive hammer had struck their chests.
The enemy seemed like an avalanche collapsing on them—an immense force far beyond their control!
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Dozens of assassins and criminals were eliminated by the cavalry soldiers that Jun had positioned beforehand, before they could even react.
"AHHHH!" Spine-chilling screams filled the air as the long formation of enemies was pierced by hundreds of cavalry soldiers, and over three hundred enemies died under the force of the charge and the thrust of spears.
In an instant, chaos took over their orderly formation.
"This is the moment; retaliate!" Jun looked at the women dressed in white on the battlefield. They were once slaves but now were nurses, and even better, assassins trained by Kyou Kai.
Now that he knew Kyou Kai was in position, Jun prepared to completely massacre the enemy.
"In position." Shen had finished with the enemies at the far end and approached with two hundred archers.
