~East Blue~

Looking at the gawking people on the shore, I pushed off without trouble, some marine recruits did point their pistols at me though.

Rowing a bit off the coast, I let my fishing boat float along its way, without my intervention.

*Grumble!*

My belly rumbled once again, which seemed to happen a lot lately ever since I ate my Devil Fruit.

Looking through my bag, I took out an apple and ate it quickly. Unlike my former human self, I like to eat fruits more than anything else.

Meat isn't all that bad but compared to my usual diet of fruits such as apples, peaches especially peaches and bananas etc.

It tastes bland, so my go-to food is fruits, of any kind once it is not a Devil Fruit.

I'm not planning to die anytime soon, blowing up in a rain of organs and bones wasn't how I pictured myself going out.

'Neither did I when I got stabbed, I still don't know how I actually died to be fair, whatever.'

I laid down, taking a bite of my apple appreciating Oda for keeping some of the fruits normal, my thought began to linger.

'So they use seagulls and storks to spy on pirates or just people in general, who have a chance of becoming potentially stronger in the future, connecting Den Den Mushi that record info and send it back to one of the bases?'

I questioned myself, looking directly at the specially trained bird flying high above the clouds.

I felt a bird above us when I fought Berny, but I didn't think too much of i. It felt like any normal bird.

Well, that was until one kept circling overhead even when I was in Shells Town, I still didn't take it as a threat.

Scratching my head even more questions were raised without answers that would fit the situation.

'I guess it can't be normal if it could survive with that little bit of air.' Scratching my chin I began to use my brain a little.

'If they can expend one for a pirate with 35 million Belli like Berny, then they have a wide stock of these guys.'

Still kind of irritated he was the reason my boat was destroyed I forgot to loot them.

I didn't even take his head to pick up a bounty, but it seems I couldn't do it anyway.

Kinda explains how they were able to give bounties to pirates. How would they give them one if they had no clue of their exploits?

That brings another question, how do they keep tabs on New World pirates that have Haki.

Stopping at that conclusion, I only wanted to use my brain a little as I didn't want to use any brain cells to their max capacity, closing my eyes I drifted off into slumber ignoring Yeoui.

Who was shaking in rage as he wasn't used throughout the battle, I forgot he was a battle maniac.

This guy was probably orgasming when Jin Mori fought Gods, just committing mass genocide like they were cannon fodder.

This time I kept my Haki and my senses ramped up to max, covering half of East Blue, I wasn't in the mood for surprises.

~Calm Belt~

Standing on the bow of his ship was Vice-Admiral Garp. He held in his hands two wanted posters of who he would consider his very own sons. Someone he nurtured into what was known as the 'World's Worst Criminal'.

He wore a robe that covered his body, protecting his identity from the surrounding people in the picture.

He wasn't worried about him though, as he personally moulded him into what he came to be.

Even if he knew the Marines were corrupted to the very core, he wouldn't go so far as to become a pirate himself like his now two sons.

In the other hand, held a vastly decreased bounty, compared to the latter but a nickname that would be widely known in the near future.

He wore nothing above his waist, with blue trousers and some slippers that he seemed to not change since he left Foosha Village.

He wasn't even trying to be a pirate yet, but due to the timing, he was caught defeating the crew that was on surveillance.

According to him, becoming a bounty hunter then gaining some reputation, boosting his bounty that was to come later when he became a pirate.

Giving him enough time to settle down in the 'New World' which Garp heavily disagreed with.

Yet he was ignored, Sun disregarded him without a second thought in the world.

Garp obviously felt hurt but he wasn't going to gloat on the matter, he didn't care as much as it seemed.

He lived with him, taught him, and took care of him for three years so he knew Sun wouldn't have any trouble in the seas.

Even so, he was worried, he didn't know the true extent of his powers but he knew very well he was strong.

He could testify to it himself, being on the receiving end of a 7ft Zoan transformed Monkey's punch, that hits strong enough to destroy mountains with ease.

Clenching his hands, both posters were crushed. Sun wasn't going to be a pirate, is what he would like to say.

But he knew it was inevitable, the marines didn't want someone like him being a bounty hunter and getting more recognition than them.

So they would eventually put a bounty on his head once he gets out of their control resulting in a disagreement between the two.

Taking in a deep breath he turned around as Bogard stood silently behind him.

"What did they change his bounty to now?" Garp asked with a somewhat strained voice.

Bogard walked up behind him whispering some words of confidentiality into the ear of his superior.

A small grin made it on the old man's face, picking his nose. His once distressed expression went away like the non-existent wind on the calm belt.

"What have you done now, Sunny boy?" Picking his nose he took a bag of crackers out of nowhere.

*Crunch, Crunch!*

"Bwahahahahahahahahahah!" Letting out a hearty laugh, he turned around heading back to the cabin of his ship, as their journey to Marineford continued.

~Foosha Village~

Around a table three boys sat watching a paper, a picture printed with someone they knew very well.

Their eyes sparkled as they didn't expect their 'Aniki' to get such a high bounty off the bat.

He was one of the highest in the Blue seas, though they wanted to know about this 'New World' place more than ever.

"Look, it's Sunny Boy!?" Around them was practically the entirety of Foosha Village, as they marvelled at their former neighbour and friend's bounty.

For some odd reason, the entire village was able to fit inside Partys Bar. This makes almost zero sense but no one can question the peculiar physics of the One Piece world.

Sitting on a rocking chair like an old granny was Makino, knitting some clothes that Sun asked to give to some Red Haired pirate that would come sooner or later.

She trusted him with everything so she went along with it without a second thought.

Giggling she reminisced about old times, especially when a staff fell from the sky almost destroying the entire bar.

Remembering the expression her older brother had on his face made her giggle even more.

*Crash!*

She began rocking the chair, which was right outside the bar on the left side of the door.

As she didn't want to disturb the drinking and partying, the citizens were about to begin.

Only for an iron pipe to break through her bar's door as two boys rolled out the bar trying to beat each other to a pulp.

Her eyes widened only for a scowl to make it on her face, getting up she slowly walked behind the two.

Rolling on the ground they didn't realize Makino standing behind them with the very same pipe that broke her door.

"Oy, which one of you are going to pay for the repairs?"Turning around, they both opened their mouths to scream at whoever was disturbing their argument.

They both began to pale instead as nothing other than air left their mouths.

Sabo walked out the broken bar, only to do a 180 and head back in whistling like he had no clue what was going on.

*Scatter, Clatter!*

Seeing Makino's expression, all of the residents fled into her bar or to their homes in a hurry.

She didn't like her appliances or anything of her own destroyed, everything was worth money and she didn't have a tree that grew them.

Even the villagers knew to not drink over a certain amount, as they didn't want to get drunk and destroy anything.

Sun was also the one who fixed the bar so everyone refrained from partying inside, but since it was his first bounty she allowed it, though she sat outside instead.

She didn't want to dent any of the wooden planks with her continuous movement on the rocking chair.

The two boys paled even more, as Luffy bit Ace's hand, got up and ran away in the direction of Mt. Colubo.

Only to find himself in the very same position he was a second ago, with Ace on the ground looking on with a helpless expression.

Grabbing the two by the ear they both yelped, as they were dragged to the backroom.

The village was filled with screams and cries of pleading throughout the day, as night came.

As some parents protected their children from the banshee noises coming from Makino's bar.

Not long later they found the duo, shouting at Sabo for leaving them and going on his merry way.

Luffy and Ace were covered in bruises, even some bumps here and there. Though they toughened it out and tried not to cry even with all the pain.

What made it even worse was them trying to run away during the beating, destroying even more of Makino's stuff in the process.

As Makino brought them back to Dandan's not long after as she had enough with the unruly children for the time being.

Using [Soru] she made it back to the village in record time reopening her bar for the party to commence.

Sun wasn't leaving her without some way to protect herself, even if Shanks was going to be there not long after.

He would leave in a year, and Sun's presence made the world an alternate reality, he wasn't taking any chances.

So he taught her the Six Powers, well the basics as not everyone was attuned to learning it without some problems.

If she wasn't such a big part of the story he would have taken her with him and form a two-man crew.

Sitting on her rocking chair once again, her bar was filled with cheers and lively partying as the night continued with joyful energy.
