Sofia was a normal girl, as normal as she could be that is, but all that changed for her very quickly. One night, Sofia died because of a stupid drunken accident, but her life didn't end as she would expect. Instead, she found herself reincarnated. She found herself waking up in a world she was all to familiar with, one she had only dreamed of, the world of Naruto. And while she wasn't some powerful Uchiha or secret Uzumaki, she wasn't all that afraid because she had something special too. She had the ability to customize herself.
What is life if not a series of unexpected outcomes?
Sofia had learned just how expected life could truly be— but she never expected it to come in the way it did— after all, that would defeat the point.
Sofia was your average girl— if there was one thing she could be called special because of, it would be her overly relaxed attitude. Sofia rarely got emotional; she rarely got worked up or angry; for the most part, she just went with the flow and allowed it to take her along.
That made Sofia who she was— but everyone was fine with it— so was she.
Unfortunately for Sofia, going with the flow could often end very badly, and one such incident happened on her birthday.
She was out with some friends, and they were partying— drinking, playing rowdy games, going from place to place— all things you would expect from a group of teenagers trying to have fun.
One such thing was playing the classic game— Truth or Dare.
It had to be said that playing Truth or Dare while drunk has often led to foolish if not outright dangerous, decisions, and this time was no different, as Sofia was dared by one of her friends to walk along the railings of a bridge.
If Sofia was in her sober mind, she might have seen the foolishness in this dare and outright denied it— but she was not in her right mind at all, and instead, she went along with it.
It didn't end well for her in the slightest— she stumbled in her drunkness and fell; everything after falling was a blur to her, and she honestly couldn't remember how she died.
But she did die.
And that brings her to her current situation— the unexpected outcome of life.
She had been reincarnated as a young child at the age of 6 years old— that in itself was already unusual to Sofia as she did not originally think the concept of reincarnation was a thing, but what was even stranger was the place she reincarnation.
She was no longer on Earth— at least not the one she knew— but rather, she was now in the world of Naruto, the series she had watched, read, and redone numerous times over.
Furthermore, she had reincarnated as a girl by the name of Kotaro Aburame of the Aburame Clan.
The second she had awakened from her reincarnations, the memory of who she was had filled her mind— it was painful and disturbing at first, but she quickly got used to it.
And she sat sorting through the memories.
"Six Years old, that's roughly 6-7 Years before the official start of the series."
Kotaro— as she was now called— wasn't exactly certain about the timeline of the Naruto verse, but she at least knew that it began when Naruto had graduated from the Academy, and Ninjas usually did that at 12 or 13— as Naruto did it at 13.
That gave her a rough estimate of where she was in the storyline— one year before the massacre of the Uchiha Clan and the defection of Itachi Uchiha.
Shaking that thought out of her head for now, she focused on the current rather than the future— because, as she currently was, none of that would matter.
Kotaro was an Orphan in the care of the Aburame Clan— her parents, whom she could barely remember, had died shortly after the attack of the Nine-Tails, and ever since then, she had been living in the orphanage of her Clan— along with other kids.
Normally, at her age, she would be joining the Academy. However, it was found that she lacked any sort of capabilities to be a Ninja— having failed the tests done by her Clan to decide if she should be sent to the Academy or not.
Because of this— she was basically abandoned without any possibility of getting out of her current situation.
Kotaro knew that being weak in the world of Naruto would only lead to one thing— death.
One that would come soon, too, if she didn't try to gain strength.
Thankfully, it seemed that whatever God had reincarnated her into this world— if one did, that is— didn't forsake her with nothing; instead, they gave her a classic staple of reincarnation stories.
A system.
As she pondered her memories and what she should do, the system appeared before her— prompting her attention to be shifted to it and her mind to be filled with the information that it brought with it.
To say she was pleased would be an understatement— the system was definitely a way out of her current situation— even more, it could be a way to go beyond anything this world had seen before.
There was one small issue— she had to work for it.
