Mana and magic

Ahh shit, here we go again.

After partying till the next morning and consuming an unholy amount of energy drinks the two families hear someone knocking on the door.

"Finally she is back now we don't have to lose to Faye and Lucie in Mario cart anymore," the tired voice of Ashborn can be heard from the living room.

A tired Jacob opened the door and sees a woman with a stern-looking face "So you finally came." He stated blandly with dark circles under his eyes looking like he didn't sleep for 5 days straight. That came from Ashborn temporarily going to a higher realm with his power after drinking 69 energy drinks, slowing down time in his shadow domain with his dominator's touch.

"Yes, Mister Black. I suppose. I am here to hear your decision."

"After a long debate, we decided to let our son go to Hogwarts but under the condition that you make an unbreakable vow that nothing happens to our son and if something happens Hogwarts pays with us according to the risk but nothing under 1000 and if it is a serious injury or near-death then nothing under 100000 of your currency," Jacob told her.

"That is acceptable and I think your conditions are already included in the school contract. We may live in the middle ages but even our society adapted some of your ideas."

"Very well I will go and wake up Faye and Rian and then we can go." Jacob formed her. "Wake up? It's 7 pm." McGonagall asked confused. "Yes what a beautiful morning, right?" Jacob walked into a house and soon came out of it with Rian and Faye. "Let's go," came from an annoyed Faye. If not for the interruption she could have finally asserted her dominance over Lucie and set her score 200-201 in her favor in Mario cart.

"I don't know if I should be amazed or terrified. The fact that the magical world could hide in the middle of London for centuries is scary. But is it a good idea to have one of the most important streets in the middle of London I mean it can't be nuked but the army can gather pretty fast and..."

"Mister Berger I am pretty sure what you are talking about but we never heard of the term nuked. But I can assure you that if the army came here we can fight back. Ok, we talked enough let's shop." McGonagall said annoyed by the never-ending questions from Ashborn.

After buying everything Jakob, Rian and Faye went back to their house and discussed their options.

"I don't think we should send Rian to Hogwarts." A concerned Faye said. "But mom I need to learn to control my power," Rian replied angrily but still understanding that his mother was concerned. "But can't Ashborn teach you," Faye answered back still against sending Rian to Hogwarts.

"Faye we discussed this already, Ashborn can teach Rian how to use mana but he can't teach him magic. Mana is a limited resource in your body and to achieve stronger defects you need more Mana but Magic exists around us and to use stronger magic you just need to train or be born with but wizards mistakenly think magic has a limit but in reality, they just go beyond their limits and are out of breath same thing what happens if you do sport. The guy who sealed Rian's magic power nearly sealed Rian's mana but Rian unconsciously tried to store his mana in his shadow which nearly killed him if not for Ashborn."

"Mom if you don't want to send me to Hogwarts then we could apply at another magic school McGonagall mentioned," Rian suggested. "That is a good Idea I will think about it. It would be safer for the dude who attacked was an english guy so there is no chance you meeting him." Faye agreed. "Now go to sleep." "Ok, Goodnight."

In a bedroom of an eleven-year-old boy an alarm tries to wake the young boy but it was futile. The boy did not want to wake up. Suddenly an angry mother came through the door.

"Goddamit, Rian wake up or you will come too late." Rian tried to get up and do his morning routine but Faye had another plan. Before Rian could even move she had a water bucket in her hands, filled to the brink with ice-cold water. In one swop Faye spilled the water all over Rian.

"Mom, what the fuck. Why did you do that?" A now fully awake Rian shouted? "That's for not waking up fast enough now go take a shower but fast we don't want to be late, right?" Fate answered still tired from being awoken so early in the morning. "Ok, did where did you find that water bucket anyways?" "Don't ask stupid questions go shower. 7 minutes then you will be downstairs ready to go." Faye said walking out of the door.

"Jesus, now I know what Dad means when he says that mom is not a morning person and she should not be awoken before 11 am.

On the train to France Rian was bored out of his mind. 'Man, what is this, are there no faster ways to go to France than the train? And all this just to go to a magic school. What luck, that Ashborn could at least teach me his magic for reading, speaking, and talking another language. I hope we soon arrive.'

Here you go another chapter. Sorry for the long wait but I was lazy.

Special thanks to Daoist_sky for your suggestion that I should send Rian to Beaubaxton. (That suggestion is so much better than what I had in mind.)

Till the next time.
