THE night came whispering nothing but emptiness. Nothing but the cold wind coming from the open door of Severus' balcony, the curtains flying at its own will, the light of the full moon stood out as the room's only light.

Reese woke up because she felt that it was as if someone was telling her to open her eyes and see the beauty of the night, but for Reese, the beauty of the night was nothing but a curse to her eyes.

The silence was defeaning, the frustration and trauma she was trying to forget was still lingering in her head, it won't even let her sleep in peace.

This never ending nightmares and sleep disturbance kept on hitting her peaceful night.

Reese sat up and pulled her hair out of frustration.

Even that scary and dark past gave her these difficulties for almost her whole existence and she's still not getting used to that scary event that haunted her whole being up until now that she's an adult.

The reason behind that traumatic suffering was still unknown. Getting beaten up by her own parents, almost starved herself to death and it almost cost her life.

Reese did have herself calmed down earlier, but the fact that she saw that gruesome past --- it won't just fade anywhere.

This would be definitely detrimental for her way of thinking but what can she do? At a very young age she was tortured because of a simple child's mistake.

Having her sister by her side only means danger for her life, being the eldest young miss of the Chen Family was the baddest fate she ever received.

She looked at the person next to her, he was sleeping defenselessly beside her and Reese can't even feel any worry around him.

Severus was the first person who comforted her and calmed her down during her panic attacks and she never knew she would give in easily around him.

She never cried in front of anyone, she never did sow them her tears.

But ever since she married him, after some twist and turns, it was easy for her to shed tears and show her emotions.

Everything became easy for her, she got full support from him without getting any kind of criticism from him.

Agreeing to marry him was a good decision after all, everything changed with just a single marriage certificate.

It would be a lot easier for her if she would be able to talk about the things she promised to her grandfather.

She won't be able to continue the favor anymore, she did everything out of impulse and anger.

It was hard for her to think that she was only brought up by the family because of politics and money.

All Reese can say is that change is really the permanent thing in the world. There's no one else for her but the man beside her. She won't be able to let go of this passion anymore after realizing it.

Reese was startled when she heard a faint sound coming from the balcony.

Reese had no choice but to look at that direction and she can sense that there was someone looking at her and it was very strong.

The strange feeling of being watched was felt from where she is.

Reese froze as soon as she realized that it was a man, he was staring at her and Reese was drawn to its eyes, it was red and she feared that she could sense anger in his eyes.

She was slowly drowning to its red eyes and she doesn't even feel any kind of agitation towards the person standing on the balcony and Reese can also see that he was wearing a very dark colored long coat.

Reese just found herself walking towards the person on her balcony, it was a strange sight and it was as if she saw an entity in front of her.

Staring deeply at that blood red eyes, Reese felt something eerie happening to her.

It was as if she's slowly getting short connections with his eyes and everything felt familiar in Reese's eyes.

"Rachel…" The man in front of her whispered. "But you're not her." He added.

Reese took the chance to get near the man and before she could even touch him she was immediately caught on her neck.

He started to strangle her and he kept on murmuring words that Reese wasn't able to understand.

"Let… me go!" Reese said in a very low voice and she took the chance of scratching him in his face.

Reese was able to see a trickle of blood dripping down on his cheek because of her sudden attack on him.

"You killed her, what do you think I'll do to you?"

Reese did her very best to lose the man's grip on her neck and she was giving another chance to tackle the man in front of her.

As soon as she fell on the ground, something solid also fell from the ground and Reese can hear the sound of it as if a chain fell from the ground.

She kept on coughing and before she could even look up, the man was nowhere to be found anymore, as if a flying insect fled as soon as it was about to get caught.

Reese saw blood coming from her hands and it was dripping down to her wrist.

She knew that it was not her blood and it came from the man who came.

The scent of the blood was strong and Reese wants to remove it.

Reese went back inside and she shook her head thinking that it was just her hallucination even though she saw it with her own two eyes, the blood in her hands was proof of that person's existence.

Rachel is a name she's somehow familiar with and she can't deny the fact that she's curious with it.

She went outside and went to her room to check herself out.

She went inside her bathroom and saw the signs of strangling on her neck.

Everything that happened was real, how could Reese think of it as if it was just her imagination?

The eyes of the man kept popping on Reese's head and she doesn't want to think that that person is something she should be thinking of.

That person wanted her dead and how can she be calm in this state, Reese looked at her fingers and she can see a few blood stains coming from the scratch injury she did to him.

Reese opened the faucet and she washed her hands to remove the blood stains on her fingers.

Hindi pa rin makapaniwala si Reese sa nangyari and it was not a normal encounter at all.

It was something eerie and she should be scared and alarmed.

She looked at her own reflection and she can see the mark that eerie man left on her neck.

Reese stopped washing her hands and she closed the faucet when she remembered a sound of a chain falling on the floor.

She left the bathroom and went back on the balcony. She knelt on the ground and saw the necklace that fell from the man.

Reese picked up the necklace and the chain was clearly broken, she looked at the cross pendant.

It is antique and it has a ruby gem in the middle and it was shaped into a heart and the necklace somehow looked like an antique gothic necklace that's been kept for more than a hundred years.

Reese clutched onto the necklace and she stood up.

She needs answers, Kier knows this and he might know the answer she is looking for.

She has to meet him and show him this, other than talking to her grandfather, this is her last resort.

Kier knows something she is clueless about.
