After five minutes of walking, he saw the prison. It was a very plain building, it was two tall floors, built beside the barracks so that if anything happens the guards will be the first to arrive. Looking at it for a bit it was easy to see that the place was full, a lot of players looked outside of the rooms for their windows looking at the exterior or merely waiting for the countdown to reach cero.
As he entered the building, he questions himself how this place could house so many players, when from the outside only there were ten or so windows.
He was brought to the cells along with the other screaming players.
The only saving grace was that, unlike the real world, each player had their own cell.
The cell was small, with only a bed and a tiny window with bars.
Allan looked at the countdown of six hours, not too much he thought.
In Tutorial Island the penalty is waived to a quarter of the time punishment, so the punishment outside Tutorial Island for public disturbs would be an entire day.
"I didn't do it though" Said Allan as he finished looking around and sat in the bed.
As he was thinking about what to do in the meantime, he saw something blink in the corner of his vision.
Allan clicked and the dot expanded.
Congratulations!!! Based on your actions you have gained the following Titles!!!
Congratulations: You have gained the Convict Title!!!
Congratulations: You have gained the Innocent Title!!!
Congratulations: You have gained the Unlucky Title!!!
Allan made a strange face when he saw the notifications.
The titles in Idle Online are a troublesome thing because, contrary to other games, they don't help you to gain stats or give you an advantage over other players.
In Idle Online there are two types of titles known, the ones that denote status like Worker of the XXX Inn, or Member of the Royal Guards, and so on.
These titles can be seen by others (they can be hidden if the players wish), but they do nothing to help you other than saying your affiliation, the same way these titles will be lost if you lost the status that is shown in them.
The other type of title is the type that affects the players in their relations with the NPC and can help or not depending on the title. There aren't a lot of titles like this known because you have to do certain actions to gain these titles.
A perfect example of this is the ex-convict title. When your sentences finish, the convict title, which is a status-type title, disappears, and in his place, the player gains the ex-convict title.
Ex-convict
Once a criminal who was caught by the law forces and sentenced to prison.
Though you have paid your debt to society, society doesn't see it that way.
People will suspect you when something bad happens around you and agents enforcement will be wary of you even if you have done nothing wrong.
This type of title alters the form the NPCs perceive you, and it will affect the way they treat you.
So, if an NPC has a quest you want and you have all the requisites to undertake, he may not give it to you because one of these titles, of course, the contrary can also happen.
After obtaining the titles Allan examined them closely to see if there was anything that must be noted of them.
First, he started with the convict title, though he had already looked it in the forums, he decided to see it one more time.
Convict
A person who has been arrested for committing a crime.
The prison is not a place where you wait to be free, is a place of reflection, where one must think about what class of person you want to be, though the conclusion may vary from person to person.
It is a fairly common title that disappears once you get out of here.
About one of three players had had this title in his time in the game. It is more probable to not know how to walk than not know this title.
Still, it is a title with a lot of drawbacks.
Allan continued looking through his titles. Contrary to the convict title Allan didn't know that these two existed so he was a bit curious, but looking at the names they can't be good.
Innocent
A person without fault is accused of a crime. Being innocent is something lots of people claim to be, but only a few really are, and even fewer are believed to be it. Even so, you are. Be proud of it and don't let people make you believe the other way!!!
People who were accused of crimes they didn't commit may be inclined to trust you.
"This could be interesting," said Allan.
Obviously, this was a relation-type title and the type that can bring quests to the door. It is fairly common in games that NPCs with this setting appear and give quests to restore their position or catch the culprits.
If this title improves the impression of these NPCs is more probable that I could obtain these quests, and the rewards are normally quite good.
"Maybe being thrown in a cell is not so bad, I was searching for a place to sleep anyway" Allan was thinking in a good mood … Until he saw his last title.
Unlucky
Luck in a mysterious thing, the same event can cause the people involved to be considered lucky or unlucky depending on how loved they are by lady fortune.
Unfortunately, you are hated. If a thing can be wrong, it will be wrong.
Tendency to have unlucky encounters.
When he looked at the title he was confused.
This title was neither a status nor a relation-type title, it was an unknown type.
Moreover, even though it said that you'll have bad luck it didn't say how bad it would be.
In any case, it was clear that the title was rare and wasn't good, but he didn't believe that there will not be other players who obtained the title. By its name, the acquisition conditions would be to have bad luck.
Allan was sure that at least some players must have earned the title besides himself, so he started to browse the forums while he was in prison in search of information about the title.
Even though you can´t do anything in prison, it is only game related, it would be too cruel to be isolated without the internet in a closed space just for playing a game.
"What the- how is this possible?" The moment he saw the true effects of the unlucky title, Allan screamed.
