Alaric Ripper. a powerless nobody whose name means Powerful Ruler. growing up he thought his parents had to be Comedians, or stupid, for naming him such a thing. abused and alone, working for a Guild as a Porter to pay rent in a one room apartment with a leaky ceiling and no electricity in the worst part of town. until one day, staring up at the stars, he makes a wish, a wish with all his heart that he could change his life, to be powerful, to be what his parents named him to be. and Somebody was listening, because they granted his wish.
