Ryu Natsume was a normal high-school boy in Tokyo, Japan. He was sociable, friendly, and outgoing which makes him very popular around town. But behind that smile, sorrow and thoughts of death are what lingers around. His mind, depressed due to the rejection of his love made him filled with sadness. He then took the easy way out, 'suicide'. What awaits him after death is a land where a voice named 'Alice' called heaven. Faced with circumstances where he must be reborn, he start his adventure as he chose to be reborn as an Elf. But that's not how our story goes...
*Bang* the gunshot was heard all throughout the town. Blood splattered the walls, and was flowing on the wood floor on a cheap apartment in Tokyo. Inside that room is a boy aged 17 who just took his life due to depression.
"You just wasted your life wtf?!?! "
Where am I? Am I alive again? I just shot myself in my apartment how did I get here? I just want to die. I'm sick of life, I'm sick of love, just let me die.
"Sorry but that won't do I can't let you die just yet. You need to live at least 70 more years for me to get my divinity back. "
Again I hear the voice. I think she can read my mind(the voice is from a woman). I hate this, what the heck am I going through? Why do I have to live 70 more years for this woman? And I don't really care about her divinity bullshit.
"I can read your thoughts you know! You are speaking to a godess so atleast have some respect you worthless soul! "
Again she read my thoughts. I wanna shut her mouth but I can't see her anywhere. Maybe she really is a godess? But I'm too tired of life to think about that.
"Hey I know you can hear me, where the hell am I? "
"Welcome to the heavenly realm of Alice! This is my domain so you must listen carefully to what I say. Because I Alice control this place and I can kill you in an instant"
"Could you kill me now then? "
"Sorry but I can't do that because as I said I need you to atleast live for more years to come"
I wanna leave this place, its too cheerful and happy going. Still I can't understand why this woman wants me to live.
"Thats simple, I bet half of my divinity with other goddesses that I can choose someone who can live for atleast 70 years. But as you know you are a dumb guy who just wasted his life, now I'll lose because of you"
"Don't blame it on me, I never wanted to be chosen for your games nor I care about your divinity"
I can hear sobbing in this place, but still I cant see this goddess. I don't really think this goddess will let me die, I guess divinity is important for them? (Divinity is power for gods and goddesses the more divinity the higher they rank in heaven)
"*sob* Please! Help me! I don't want to live in the lowest part of heaven again"
I wonder what happened to her prideful attitude. Maybe this divine people are all prideful? They are powerful after all.

It is my 3rd week here in heaven. Alice is still persuading me to help her but I don't really get the point of helping her because I won't get anything out of it. Alice showed herself to me by the 7th day. She looks like a young pretty girl that is about my age. She has short gold hair and wore a white dress. The first time I saw her something came out in my mind that perfectly represents her... A washboard.
" Changed your mind yet? You do see that I really need your help right?"
"What do I get out of it? I can't just help you without me gaining anything"
She fell silent, it's as if she never expected to reward me in the first place
"uhm give me a few hours for me to think this through"
5 hours later
"I now have something that you can gain when you help me! It is so good that you can't really refuse!"
"What is it?"
"I will share 10% of my heavenly realm to you, not a bad offer if you ask me"
"Rejected, what the hell am I supposed to do with that realm of yours"
Recently she has been reading my mind less so I guess I can think for myself again without someone listening. I actually like the reward because with that I will be like 10% divine or am I really just a land owner.
"wah!?! Then how about 15%"
"Rejected"
"25% last offer, that's the last I can give you"
Hmm I think I can accept this. I think she knows that when she wins the bet she can have a bigger realm so giving some of it is really pointless. She will gain less but she won't lose anything"
"Ok, I'll accept your offer, now fill me in with information on how I can help you"
She looks relieved, I think she was about to cry if I also reject the last offer.
She told me that I will be summoned to another world and she will give me support from time to time so that I can live long.
"Ryu come here for awhile(Ryu Natsume is MC's name)"
I came with her to a place where I see a giant written circle on the ground. Its probably a magic circle
"You are correct in that part and before I send you out I want to give you some choices that will affect how you live in your new life"
She handed me a device that is similar to a tablet. In the interface different races are shown for me to choose from. This reminds me of an RPG game. Hmm there are many choices it ranges from Humans to Elves, Demons to Orcs, Beastkin to Dwarves, and some many more kinds that I don't know of. I think I will go with Elves because they have a long lifespan.
"I'll go with Elves"
"Ok now just stand in the circle while I process your transfer"
I stood in the circle and it began to glow. Its very bright, I was blinded.
I can't feel anything. I think transport has begun or ended? I don't really know. I don't feel the aura of heaven anymore. I wonder what happened to me
Meanwhile in heaven
"Fuck its malfunctioning. It chose the Demon Race. Yeah Ryu will get angry when he wakes up, and I can already feel his anger. I just hope that he can live his life summoned as a Demon.
