I transmigrated in Pokemon

"Umm~ I slept like a log." Said a boy with handsome features: dark brown hair turning golden at the tips and bright yellow eyes. Smooth skin, and fair complexion. He was tall as well, not too much but relatively.

"Haah, the air is so fresh. As if I'm in a forest. Huh...?" Looking at the scenery before him, the boy becomes speechless.

All around him, were large trees and bushes. He realized he was really in the middle of a jungle. Gazing down, he saw he was sleeping on a grassland. At his right side, he could see a big river with crystal clear water.

"Where the fuck am I?" He clearly remembers, last night he went to sleep hugging his favorite Pikachu body pillow.

How did he end up here?

His name was Roland, Roland Moris. A sixteen-year old teen, attending High School.

After Roland was done watching the latest Pokemon episode, he closed his PC and fell asleep. However, now he woke up in a forest.

"Don't tell me I was transmigrated?" He thought about the most absurd but plausible explanation.

"Only one way to find out." Overwhelmed with curiosity, and anxiety Roland ran up to the river close by.

"What the..." His curse trailed off, looking at the unfamiliar, yet, extremely good-looking face reflecting on the water surface.

"Shit! I look like Zhongli of the Genshin Impact!!!" He exclaimed out loud. The exact same brown hair with golden tips, handsome face, and glowing yellow eyes.

"Did I get thrown into the Genshin Impact!?" He wondered. If so, he was in deep trouble.

Just as he was about to ponder deeply, something caught his attention. Roland could see a fish identical to a moon fish, but completely golden in color wiggling in the water. Trying it's best to stay afloat.

"Wow a Magikarp! A shiny at that!" Roland looked a the Pokemon with stars in his eyes. He was a big fan of Pokemon, if someone asked him; if he wants to go to the Pokemon world. He would agree in a heartbeat.

"Tsk, maybe due to shock, I'm seeing things." He lamented, it seems like his mind was in a mess. Perhaps, some rest is required.

"Fuck, it's really a Shiny Magikarp!!!"

Even after Roland lay down for a while, the struggling Magikarp never disappeared. That means, he wasn't in Genshin Impact, but in Pokemon world!

Roland was filled with excitement as he jumped into the river in an attempt to save the drowning Pokemon. Though it was quite a bizarre situation, since Magikarp was a water Pokemon; yet it was unable to swim.

"Don't worry buddy, I'll save you." Roland quickly swam up to the golden Magikarp. Just as he touched the Magikarp.

[Ding]

[Requirement to activate the Trainer System' is met...]

A notification rang inside his head as soon as he touched the Magikarp.

"Phew~ It's a relief. Looks like, I got my golden finger."

"I'll look into it later. I have a Magikarp to save." Without wasting any time, he grabbed hold of the Shiny Magikarp and swam back to the shore.

The Magikarp did the only thing it can do... Splash!

Yeah, it kept splashing on the ground. Showing its gratitude to Roland for saving its life.

"Yeah, yeah. You don't have to thank me anymore." Said Roland, as pulled the Magikarp up and sat down at the riverside.

"Alright, it's time to see what's this 'Trainer System' is about."

"Status!" Roland called out. He wanted to simply command using his thoughts but decided against it. Nobody was here except he and Magikarp anyway. Maybe a few wild Pokemon' are hiding. But, they aren't of any importance.

[Skill Select: Just like in all Pokemon games, your Pokemon acquires skills when they evolve. But, with this function you can fully control what kind of moves they should learn. The skill will be engraved in the soul of the Pokemon, hence it can use that skill instantly. However, further training would allow better control.]

"Although not very OP. It's still a practical function. Instantly learning a skill is very useful." Roland was satisfied with his system. It wasn't very overpowered nor was it a simple trash. It was well balanced.

"Okay, time to use the appraisal. System use appraisal on this Magikarp." He ordered.

"So it's new born. Hey system, will it evolve into a Gyarados at level 20?" He questioned. In games once a Magikarp reaches level 20 it can evolve.

"Now let's take a look at my inventory." Roland wished for the storage to open and it worked. He was able to open the storage with just his thoughts.

Inside his inventory were ten pokeballs, five cans of pokemon food, and five sets of pokemon medicine, in addition to a first aid box, and a tent. He got 10000 PK dollars as well.

"Damn, I didn't have any spare clothes. Thank God, I took them off before jumping into the water." Roland sighed. Had he wetted his only pair of clothes, he might have caught a cold.

Afterward, he brought out some poke-food and fed the hungry Magikarp. He happily ate them all. Yes, the Magikarp was a male the system confirmed it.

"Hey little guy wanna come with me? I'll help you become a giant Gyarados." Roland asked, seeing as the Magikarp has finished his meal. He took out a pokeball as well.

The Magikarp was delighted by Roland's proposal and used his signature as well as his one and only move splash to tap on the pokeball.

A red light enveloped the Magikarp and sucked him into the ball. The pokeball wiggled three times and made a closing sound. And fall on top of Roland's lap.

An unimaginable rush of ecstasy spread across Roland's whole body. It actually happened, he wasn't dreaming. He was actually holding a real pokeball with a real Magikarp inside!

"Oh yeah!!! I caught a Magikarp!!!"

He did the legendary pose that Ash does whenever he caught a new Pokemon.
