I Farm Demons : Unholy Necromancer In the Apocalypse

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war with demonic forces, civilization as it once existed is all but gone.  In its place, a new order had emerged, with humans developing magical abilities as each generation passed.  To ensure the survival of their species, society had been divided into Circles, with each member guaranteed a specific job once they reached the age of eighteen. Xylon Sinclair was an orphan with a limited affinity for magic, and he had been reincarnated as a punishment for his past deeds.  In a former life, he was Zephyr, a powerful demon who served the mighty Balthyrov, the Lord of Demons, until he became a perceived threat. He got killed mercilessly and got forced to reincarnate as a fragile human being as a punishment. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Xylon was told that he will become a Soul Keeper, a role that he knew nothing about. Despite his confusion, he had no choice but to accept this position.  However, rather than following the status quo, Xylon experimented with the system, using his formal knowledge about the demon realm to resurrect demons from thousands of years ago.  What had started as a mere curiosity soon turned into an obsession for Xylon.  He was fascinated by the power that he could wield by bringing the ancient demons back from the dead.  It was as if he had discovered a new realm of possibilities that he had never imagined before. And then, he started to dream bigger... Xylon Sinclair wanted to rule over both realms, human and demon realm... //////////////// For those who wanted to contact me, here is my discord : Yoonaas#3976 p.s: the cover is purely mine , and it is made solely for this webnovel, it shows Zephyr. Humanity outside !

Xylon felt a rising sense of frustration as Akuna seemed to evade his questions. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to her reluctance than just fear or secrecy.

He knew that his discovery at the borders of the celestial garden had been significant, but he couldn't quite put his finger on why.

The more he thought about it, the more it felt like an elusive truth just beyond his grasp.

"Tell me you bitch, tell me. I am not the only one," he demanded, his voice edged with desperation.

Akuna averted her gaze, but Xylon grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. "Tell me the truth, Rafas...Rafas sounds like the name of a place, just like Havag. You better start talking or I am going to kill you."

She hesitated for a moment, then her eyes flickered up to the sky above them. "First of all, if you kill me, you won't have access to the celestial garden," she said, her tone grave.

Xylon's grip on her chin tightened. "I'll take my chances. What do you know about Rafas?"

Akuna's lips thinned into a tight line. "Rafas is a forbidden place for you."

Xylon's eyes widened as he realized the implications of what she was saying. "Forbidden? How?"

Akuna nodded slowly, her expression pained. "Yes. That's why you almost killed me. The energy you drew from me was enough to sustain you at the brink of the celestial garden. But you can't go back there, Xylon. It's too dangerous. You are not allowed to be there."

Xylon's mind raced as he tried to process the magnitude of what he had discovered.

He had always believed that the celestial garden was the pinnacle of existence, the ultimate goal of his reincarnation practice.

But now, with the knowledge of Rafas burning in his mind, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the universe than he had ever imagined.

Xylon's grip on Akuna's chin tightened as he leaned in closer to her face. His eyes bore into hers with an intensity that made her tremble.

"Dear, I think I have a few ideas about what I am going to do to you if you don't start spitting the truth about the place I reached inside the celestial garden," he said with a deadly calmness in his voice.

"Of course, you are not the only one," Akuna shouted, her voice laced with anger.

It was the first time Akuna had ever raised her voice at Xylon, but he felt no pity for her.

He just looked at her with disgust and demanded, "Tell me everything."

Akuna sighed deeply, and her eyes darted to the sky above them. "You just reached the celestial garden of Rafas," she began. "Rafas is a place here on Earth where humanity still exists safe and sound, just like your town of Havag. But of course,  humans love to think that you are so special and you are the only survivors left of humanity."

Xylon released his grip on Akuna's chin and sat back, trying to process the information she had just given him.

Rafas, a place on Earth where humans still lived? It was a shocking revelation. He had always believed that the celestial garden was the last bastion of life on Earth.

"What else do you know about Rafas?" he asked Akuna, his voice tinged with curiosity.

Akuna looked away, her expression clouded with sadness. "I know that it is a place that is protected"

Xylon sat down next to Akuna, his eyes filled with excitement as she revealed to him that Havag was not the only town that had survived the wrath of the demons.

"Wait, you mean there are other towns like Havag out there?" he asked eagerly.

Akuna nodded slowly. "Demons ravaged most of the Earth, but do you really believe they only left one small town alive?" she explained.

"Humans found different ways to survive in different places."

A wicked smile spread across Xylon's face as he realized the significance of this information.

"This is something that no one knows, not even the humans stuck in their small town or the demons who thought they had wiped out the entire human race," he said.

Akuna looked at Xylon with concern. "But Xylon, this knowledge could be dangerous. If the demons find out about the other towns, they may launch another attack."

Akuna sat down and rubbed her neck where Xylon had strangled her, feeling uneasy about the information she had just revealed.

"What would you even do with this information? It's not that valuable to you," she questioned.

Xylon's excitement was palpable as he stood up, eyes glowing with fervor. "What would I do?!" he exclaimed before storming off towards the farm gate.

He gazed out at the abyss, deep in thought about his next move. Xylon knew that he had to act fast, to change everything and execute his plan.

What started as a wicked plan for his amusement inside the farm that he was meant to be stuck inside for 15 years turned out to be more than that after all.

His plan that  involved resurrecting demons who had been dead for thousands of years.

.

Akuna's voice was shaking as she looked at Xylon, who was standing at the gate with a wide, sinister smile on his face. She couldn't understand why he was so elated after learning about the existence of other human settlements outside of Havag.

"Xylon, you're scaring me," she said, her voice trembling with fear. "This is ridiculous. Why are you smiling like that?"

Xylon turned to her with a cold stare, his smile still plastered on his face. "Why shouldn't I be smiling, Akuna?" he asked, his voice dripping with malice.

"I have everything I need now. The knowledge of other human settlements, access to the abyss of demon souls, and five hundred years of experience as a demon. I am invincible."

Akuna took a step back, the fear in her eyes intensifying. She had never seen Xylon like this before.

Something had changed within him, and she was afraid of what he might do next.

"Xylon, please," she pleaded. "Don't do anything rash. Think about what you're doing. You're putting us all in danger."

But Xylon paid no heed to her words. He was consumed by his own ambition, his mind set on achieving his ultimate goal, no matter the cost.

"I'm not afraid of danger, Akuna," he said, his smile widening even more. "I embrace it. And soon, the entire world will fear me."
