Tale of a Lost Princess

I heard the sound of quiet footsteps behind me while I lay on my side spooning Lila cultivating in bed while she slept. It must be one of those two bringing something for Lila and I beside the bed so I decided to stop and get up.

I turned my head and saw Alexis placing a cup of tea on the nightstand for me when I got up, before going around to the other side and quietly setting one down for Lila.

Elaria came in and started picking some clothes from the wardrobe for us to where today.

We didn't bother closing the door anymore since we don't care, and it makes it quieter when they come in if they are doing something earlier than Lila wants to wake up.

I started waking Lila by rubbing her soft ears; soon, she opened her eyes, and she began her morning routine.

I slipped out of bed and took the clothes Elaria handed me before getting dressed and walking out of the room while drinking the tea. I left them to get Lila up and dressed; it usually doesn't take long.

I sat down at the table where breakfast was already prepared in my usual spot and started eating. Today was some oatmeal; the oats were slightly undercooked, and I wondered if Elaria needed someone else to help her. Maybe I'll stop at a few other worlds with her and let her pick out another two or so people; I need another anyway, so may as well get more.

Lila came out wearing a beautiful dress and sat down to eat.

After breakfast, we went to the vault where the tower stored many of its most important items.

The guards standing next to the doors used their badges to unlock their portion of the door, and I used mine to unlock the rest.

The door swung open, and I walked in while the others stayed outside. It was tower policy that nobody else went into the vault without a good reason.

The inside was about 20x20, and off to the side were crates of dangerous potions, most of them extremely potent poison. Others were extremely valuable healing potions that could all but raise the dead; these were very difficult to make and had crazy rare ingredients and hence kept in the vault, not with normal potions.

On the back wall were about 40 spell books, mostly containing forbidden spells like powerful curses or extremely destructive spells that could cripple or even erase a country.

I started having Kitty create a copy of them all and putting it in my inventory. If the book was in my hand, Kitty would add it to the system shop, and I could use some Energy to buy and create it.

After I was done, I went around adding the rest of the items in the vault to the shop.

Items that are common like clothes, she has in the shop by default, but she makes me go find most things that are remotely rare before she'll add them.

I did the same on the rest of the floors, and a few hours later, had all the spells in the tower added to the shop then stored in my inventory.

I plan to build a library in my small world and dump all the books inside for whoever wants to learn them, although the vast majority are useless to me.

When I was finished, it was time to go to Beastholm and pay some people a visit.

I looked at Lila, "should we teleport to that village we got the map at, to the entrance?"

You can only teleport to a place you know; we could teleport into that room or somewhere else, but that village was an easy point to remember for us, and not on the palace grounds.

I'm excited for when we reach the Void Amalgamation realm in the next sphere as then I'll be able to look through the void and see a spot I want to teleport to then use magic to teleport. Cultivation and magic really are complementary.

Teleportation can also be done by cultivators, however not at only the Void Amalgamation realm. Although you could walk through the void then, it's not instant. Comprehending the space element is necessary for cultivators to teleport.

She nodded, "that's a good place."

"Elaria, Alexis, you check our location from your rings and teleport after us."

"Yes Master."

I could pull them with me in the teleport, but it's more difficult, so why would I.

I activated my teleportation spell and a familiar village came into view.

I was outside the entrance, and Lila appeared a few yards away with the other girls following shortly after.

I flew up in the air, hovering before they followed, and we took off in the direction of the city.

As we flew, I thought about what we should do when we go to the city. I wanted Lila to get whatever type of revenge she wanted.

"Do you want to just blow it up or do you want to mess with them first?"

"Mess with them how?"

"I don't know, maybe write a really short book about the life of Beastholm's lost princess and publish it all over the place? Maybe more of a pamphlet or something short that anyone can just pick up."

She laughed evilly, "that's what second mother is probably most afraid of."

It only took us a minute or so for the city gate to come into view, and we dropped down a little ways outside.

Lila cast an illusion spell on herself turning her hair and fur reddish-brown, and we walked to the gate. After showing our identities, we were promptly let through.

We decided to stay at Beastholm's magic tower since they have nice guest apartments.

We headed straight to the tower, as soon as I showed my identification as the master of a magic tower to the receptionist on the first floor, they sent us straight to the tenth.

The layouts seem to be exactly the same as my tower, and I wondered if all of them were the same or not.

I gave a polite knock on the doors to the tower master's office before opening entering. Elaria and Alexis stayed outside.

I saw the office had couches and a table like mine, but the shelves along the wall were filled with books and trinkets. Off to the left, there was a 20ish woman who looked to be a secretary sitting behind a desk.

Behind the tower master's desk was an old lady who smiled politely, neither friendly nor unfriendly, "To what do I owe the pleasure of the Ironspire's tower master's visit?"

"We just came for a short vacation, may we please use one of the guest apartments?"

She nodded, "Of course, Sheila show them to apartment 1."

"Thank you."

We followed the secretary out of the office towards apartment 1; she opened the door and held out several keys to me. She kept glancing at me then looking away slightly, and her face turned slightly pink. as she stood there.

Lila flashed her a look, and she hurried up.

"Here are the keys; if there's anything else you need, just let me know, and I'll do my best to help you."

I walked in and waved behind me, "No need to call the staff."

"Yes sir."

I heard the door shut behind me, and Lila looked around before sitting at the table.

"Can I have some paper to write on? I want to do what you said."

I gave her some paper and a pencil then found a spot in the living room to cultivate while I waited for her to finish.

A little while later, I heard quick light steps come over to me and stopped.

I opened my eyes and took the paper she handed me.

I read it; it was written like a story where the princess is mistreated and suppressed by her second mother who was even encouraging her children to beat the princess, while her father does nothing to help.

The princess's second mother hates her because the princess is very talented wants her own children to inherit the throne.

After her father dies when she is only 5, her second mother breaks her mana core and locks her in an outdoor shed, giving her only a little bread to eat, and she spends 2 years in there before a 15-year-old human genius boy who was trying to improve teleportation, accidentally teleports in.

The human boy is injured and can't teleport back out due to losing almost all his circles in an accident. Thankfully, he is only temporarily injured and would eventually be able to rebuild his circles, even surpassing where he had been, but only after he got out of the shed.

The princess tried to give the boy the bread that was tossed in every day even though she knew it wasn't enough for just her. Thankfully, the boy had a storage bag full of dried food that he'd packed before conducting his experiment in case something went wrong, and he shared some with the little princess.

They spent 10 years digging their way out through the rock, tunneling underground toward the back of the cliff behind the palace and also trying to find a way to rebuild the little princess's mana core.

The boy had always thought it should be possible to rebuild it; his theory was that since it is created once then it should be possible to create it again.

After many years, he succeeded in helping recreate the princess's mana core.

Finally, 10 years after he'd accidentally teleported into the shed, when the princess is almost 18, they finished digging a tunnel underneath the ground all the way out of the palace.

They leave the place together, running away where they get married on the way to Alfheim and hide while improving their strength.

After they are sufficiently strong, they teleport back to the capital to Beastholm, this time without any accidents, where the princess would take her revenge on the people who harmed her.

"I think it's good, although I wasn't 15 or any of the other things, it puts it in a way that the people in this world would believe. And it doesn't take away from what happened."

"Would you please give me more paper so I can duplicate it?"

I gave her a tall stack and she cast a spell that put the words she had onto all of them in the pile.

She kept the length of the story to only the front and back of one sheet so that a person could just take one if they wanted to read it. This also kept it to a reasonable length that busy people might still read.

I started thinking about how to distribute the story and came to the idea of hiring some of the orphans to hand them out to everyone they see.
