A delicate veil of dawn light filtered into Johan's room, casting an inviting glow on the training mat. His summoned monsters, a feathered griffin and a sturdy armadillo, awaited his command. With a determined nod, Johan summoned his 'hardening' skill, a silvery sheen enveloping his hand.
'Don't rush it, just like we practiced,' he silently coached himself. As his hand made contact with the griffin, its feathered body acquired a metallic gleam, its strength visibly enhanced. Johan couldn't help but smile at his improving control over the skill.
Following an intensive training session, Johan retreated indoors to cool down. His attention was caught by an incoming message on his watch. He skimmed through it, his eyebrows shooting up in interest. "A gathering for Card Masters, huh?" he mused aloud. "This could be fun."
