The year is 344 of the New imperial calendar.
It was quite a while aho that the Earth's goverments collapsed under the pressure of different disasters and mankind plunged into a dark age of anarchy. Then, a new group of individuals formed with the person soon after to become the First Emperor as their leader. With new goverments came new rules and full reforms of agriculture and education. Nowadays, every child that turns 6 must go to school under the penalty of death. Kinda cruel, but if it works, it works.

My name is Edward. As the summer brake passed really quick this year, the school is back again. Well, it is for everyone else. I kinda messed up and tried to do some stupid things to get more money. It was going pretty well untill we got caught. Specifically, "I" got caught, because those bastards calling themselves my friends left me in the mud. The punishments in my district are usually very cruel, this time wasnt an exeption. I got two options: a special, goverment funded facility (or just "prison for minors" as i like to call it) or a one way ticket to the Terra uranium mines. My answer was obvious, i will rather live under surveillance than die slowly from radiation poisoning. Now, the new year is about to begin and with it the gates of an ominous looking facility open wide, swallowing me whole.
