Waking the Dead

Later at night, after retiring from her small court, Jaelah stared at a map of the whole continent in bed. General Pho's movements are clearly leading into a confrontation with her.

Qildor is right. Once General Qildor take over the last major city in the East, all that is left for him to do is kill me. However, Lady Jaelah refuses to allow that male to take what she worked so hard to get.

How can I stop him with the minimal force that I have?

She tried to think of a way, but her granddaughter's sudden cries broke her concentration.

"Ugh...Is no one out there! Can you hear her crying!?" She called out to her servants in the hallway, but no one answered her. 

Frustrated, she got out of bed and opened her bedroom doors, looking for her servants.

Yet, only two guards were standing outside her doors. There were no signs of her maids anywhere is sight. 

"Where are my maids?" She asked one of the guards.
