"No need, Javier. I can do it. I'm not a kid anymore," I told him with a laugh as I looked to see if I had forgotten anything.

Pola called me yesterday to come in because Amelia went back to my office because she wanted to talk to me about something. Stephen's series of texts also greeted me when I turned off the airplane mode of my cellphone, asking why I am absent, but I was unable to reply because of Javier.

When I made sure I hadn't forgotten anything, I put on my sling bag and slightly adjusted my corporate attire. I could feel Javier staring at me earlier, but I tried to ignore it because I didn't want to be distracted right now. Also, I really feel bad for him because of what he did last night. Damn it!

"I said I'll take you," he persisted, so I just felt helpless and turned away from him.

We even met Marco on the way down the stairs who just nodded at us. I just walked straight until we both got out of his house.
