Glimpse

Inside the palace, after his discussion with his brother and his friend Dominic headed back to his room. He wanted to see his wife whom he ignore last night. He didn't knew what had gotten into him but the way she got scared of him only made things worse.

He missed her so much that her didn't waste his time roaming around the village and came back to her.

"I should've not reacted that way.. what will she think of me?" he walked to the large corridor and watched Agatha outside with the guards.

He frowned thinking why was she not serving her queen. Striding to them he stood in front of the door and said," Why are you not with Ava" his words sent chills to the servant who were standing in front of him.

"His Majesty.. the queen has gone out for hunting with princess Hope and princess Faith" she informed about Ava departure.

"Okay" he said and walked back to his chamber.

Dominic thought maybe he should meet Ava after she comes back. He tried to concentrate in the kingdoms affairs when he heard someone voice which cried for help.

[Your Majesty.. the queen is in danger]

The word queen alarmed him and without wasting his time he jumped out from the window landing on the ground before he ran changing his shape...

Back in the forest

Ava was glaring at the man with pure rage as her eyes blaze fire from them as if she was burning him alive.

"W-what is happening to me?" Odrick felt the hold on her neck getting hot as her body was heating up like volcano.

She flared and held his hand as it started to burn making him cry in pain.

"Leave me..." he tried to pull back from her grip but even her palm were heating up.

Ava was looking at him without drifting her gaze away and only stood still glaring at him. As is she was not in her sense, and laugh watching him crying in pain.

"Do you feel pain" she spoke like a different person and not the one as soft as her original self.

"You will die soon.." she clutched his stomach as she buried her nails inside his flesh and threw him away until his body collide with the large tree which cracked falling down...

" Ava.." Dominic called and ran to her dragging her away before the tree before it fall on her.

"Ahh"

Both fell on the grass with Ava falling unconscious in his arms.

Dominic who had reached smelling her scent saw the most dangerous scene which shock him watching his wife throwing the man meters away.

"Ava.. wake up" he patted her cheeks but she didn't bulged.

Carrying her in his arms he walked out from the forest watching the broken tree and the man who was fallen away from them.

Palace

"Why did you left her alone.." Rose yelped at the girls who were shivering at their mother wrath.

"How many time I've said you not to go alone without taking the guards. What words of mine you both don't understand"

"Mother we..." both the girls were on the verge of crying, one more word from their mother and they were going to burst.

"Easy Rose see they both are going to cry rivers now" Matrix went to his cute bundle of joy and squat down wiping their tears.

He loved his daughters very much and watching them cry would break his heart.

"You don't soothe them, they both need to be punished.. because of them Ava got hurt" Rose was feeling very sorry when she saw Ava being carried by Dominic to his chamber. She had marks on her neck and he body had turned cold...

"Don't worry I have checked her she will be fine"

Matrix was Dominic's cousin and his gamma. He was a well know physician too who healed their soldiers who would get hurt in war. Apart from being the physician in the pack he was also Dominic's advisor who handled kingdoms affair when Dominic was not around.

"But still you can't forget what they have done and see.." she pointed the small rabbit who was now eating the carrot given by her.

"This is what they ran after and instead of eating it they brought him here"

Matrix chucked at his innocent daughters prey and carried them each in his arms," So how come this little man came along" he asked and went to sit on the bed.

"Father we didn't have the heart to kill him. He was alone in the forest without his mother" Hope the innocent one spoke and cradled sitting up on his lap.

"Yes father.. initially we wanted to hunt him and we ran after him but watching him alone we didn't feel like taking his life" Faith did the same and snuggle next to him.

"You both did right.. we should never kill any animal as it also has life to live.. and what did father thought you" he looked from Hope to Faith when both said together," Never fight with someone who doesn't match your strength"

"Good that's my girls"

Rose who was watching the father and daughter trio couldn't help but sigh. Matrix was so blinded by his daughter than he forgive them even when they were at fault sometimes.

"You should be a little strict with them Matrix" she walked to the bed and took Hope in her arms who had fallen asleep on her fathers lap.

"They are still small Rose and need proper care rather then shouting" tucking both the girls under the duvet he turn to look at his wife.

"I missed you" he kissed her to which she responded.

"I missed you too"

Matrix was out for some work and was back to palace in the evening. He had heard the news of his brother getting married in intimate way and the girl was not like them.

The first thing he encounter when he came back was Dominic who carried his unconscious wife in his arm followed by his two daughters and the royal guards.

Inside the chamber, Dominic sat next to him wife and cleaned her hands which had dirt on them.

Slowly caressing her cheeks he looked at her. She had still not opened her eyes as if she was refusing to look back to the world. Her peaceful face and calm body laid next to him without showing any sign of waking up.

"Get up little kitten.. you're scaring me"

Dominic who had never felt any emotion in his entire existence was now begging his wife to wake up. The shocking incident which he witnessed with his own eyes had shaken him to an extent where he felt the person whom he kept an eyes on was not the one he knew.

Ava who never harmed anyone had threw the man with such an incredible force that he landed straight against the tree. If he had not reached there on time the tree would have fell on her.

Something that bothered him the most during that situation was his wife behavior, even after calling her to move she didn't turn look around even for once. He felt like she was being possessed by some power and was not in her senses.

He knew she was different but he never came to see what powers she hold, but today was the first time he had seen her little glimpse. Though it was just for a minute but it made an impactable mark in his mind.

Dominic mind kept replaying the incident back to back, when his thoughts broke at Ava movement.

"No leave me.... no please" she mumbled in her sleep as if she was stuck in the situation that happened in the forest.

Dominic looked down at his scared kitten and slowly caress her head," Shh.. he won't harm you... you're safe little kitten" his calm voice spoke with so much tender as she drift back to a deep slumber.

His eyes darted at her neck which had finger marks in a circular form. Tracing his fingers on them, he felt the warmth radiating through them as if a hot lava was poured around her neck.

"Why do the vampire's need her... and what way she will benefit them" he had recognized the man earlier who attacked her but he left him alive as his concern was on his unconscious wife.

There where so many loopholes behind her existence which he was not aware of, but as he had promised her father to protect her, he would follow it for his entire life. She was his wife, his mate, the queen of his kingdom and no one was allowed to harm her not even him.

Climbing off the bed, he called Agatha to stay next to her before he left the chamber. He had some business to handle before he came back to her. It took a lot of courage for him to part from her knowing that she had still not woken up, but he promise to return to her side after handling one final thing.

"I want him alive...." his voice echoed in the corridor as his guards started to follow his order before the king punish them.

He would not let anyone go if anything happens to his mate, even if it means he had to kill them mercilessly.
