Fighting the obvious

Mavericks pov:

Too see my phone light up with her name I was shocked as she hasn't really been around our family get togethers as she usually comes in, says hello, then disappears away from everyone else. As a child she was everywhere, tagging along six years younger then us and when I hit puberty I hit it hard. I found her presence annoying and irritated me like crazy, mixed when teenage hormones it was a disaster.

By the time I realized she had begun to avoid me it had been nearly two years since I had stopped and spoken too her. Then I noticed her avoid me altogether and fake being on the phone to head in the opposite direction. Following her I watched her climb the stairs, as I wondered if someone else was up there. When she entered the room closing the door softly behind her that made me even more nosey so I followed her up the stairs when Allison stepped out of the room.
