The Hike to Verglas Peak

The group started climbing the mountain, and asked Asa a few questions:

- Hey, Asa. That thing you said, Vein 3? - Says Nozomi confused

- Oh, yeah. So Veins are different skills certain rare swords possess, for example Excalibur possesses the Vein skill tree called "Lustrous". - Explains Asa

- Hmm, so your Veins are similar to our rune skills? - Asks Inkuto

- Yes. - Says Asa

- Hey Asa, is your sword your rune? - Asks Janpure

- No, not quite. Its actually just a sword, but i do have 2 runes right here:

Asa turns his hands over revealing two runes on both of his palms, a green and red one:

- Woah, you have two runes? - Asks Janpure

- Yeah, this red one is the one i was born with, its called Sear and it basically allows me to engulf other things in flames that dont hurt the object or me. The green one was passed down to me by my old man, this rune is called Blockade and it allows me to block any attacks that dont come from a legendary weapon, as long as i hold Excalibur with both of my hands. - Explains Asa

- Thats so cool, i wish i had 2 runes like you! - Says Nozomi

- Yeah, but instead of talking i think we should go look for food. Im so hungry! - Says Inkuto

- I agree, i saw a few yetis earlier, but im not sure if they are edible. - Says Asa

- Yetis are edible, i read about them in a book. - Says Inkuto

- They might be edible, but i really hope they taste good, im really craving cooked pork right now!- Says Nozomi

They head to the yetis and suddenly get attacked:

- Woah, where did these two come from. - Asks Nozomi

- I dont know, but its food so who cares, 100kg Pound!! - Janpure jumps high into the air and crashes down instantly killing one of the yetis

- Heh, Dart! - Nozomi screams and Darts at the second yeti knocking it out instantly

- Okay, i think two yetis is enough for a few hours at least, lets go set up camp under that tree - Says Inkuto

The team get under the tree and set up camp, they make a campfire and start cooking the yetis while talking about Inkutos rune:

- Hey Inkuto, is your rune really just ink? - Asks Nozomi

- Yes, but not entirely. When i put in enough energy, i can transform my limbs into tentacles that i can control at will, but if i put too much energy in or i get really upset about something i fully transform into a massive black octopus. In this form i cant control my powers at all, its like im being possessed by my own rune. - Explains Inkuto

- Thats a dangerous rune, but in certain situations it could be very useful. - Says Asa

- Yeah, we should be careful not to make you upset Inkuto. Also when are the yeti's gonna be done cooking, im starving here! - Says Nozomi

- They should be done in about 2 minutes, be more patient Nozomi-san - Says Janpure

Once the yetis are finished cooking, they eat like wild boars and once they finish, they start heading up the mountain:

- Hey whats that rumbling noise? - Asks Nozomi

- Oh no... - Says Inkuto while staring at the peak of the mountain

- Please dont tell me its what i think it is.. - Says Asa

- What is it guys? - Asks Janpure

- Its an avalanche, RUN!!! - Say Asa and Inkuto, as they run around trying to find cover

- An avalance? Never heard of such a thing, its probably something small we can handle, right guys? - She turns around, and witnesses a large gust of snow pummeling down the mountain. She screams in terror, grabs janpure and darts to safety:

- That was close! Im so glad this huge boulder was here, if it wasnt we wouldve been toast! - Says Nozomi

Inkuto starts praying, and thanking god for saving them from this avalanche:

- Oh dear lord, thank you for saving me and my friends from this avalanche! - Prays Inkuto

- Why are you praying Inkuto? - Asks Janpure

- An avalanche is one of my biggest fears! - He says while praying

Once the avalanche stops, the squad starts climbing back up the mountain again and see a small mysterious house in the distance:

- Oh, look its a house! - Says Nozomi

- Thats not a house Nozomi, thats probably not even classified as a shed. - Says Asa

- Lets go see if anyones home, and hopefully they have a fireplace. Im freezing cold! - Says Nozomi

The squad of 4 heads to the shed, and when they get near it they hear a loud banging noise coming from behind it...
