I couldn't let these bizarre distraction introduce me to insanity. This lifetime was my only one, so why? Why did I have to be chosen for such a mad way of living? I stood there frozen as the blood flowed down the lifeless body before me. I gulped down any remaining hope I had, and accepted that this place was the definition of doom.
