Trip to humanity 6

SAMANTHA'S P.O.V.

He helped me sit on the edge of the bed, then squatted in front of me, holding my two hands in his.

"That's unfair.." I said, pouting my lips.

"That I can near your thoughts?"

I nodded. What of all those times in school that I had stupid thoughts about him? Did he know about the fantasies too? About all the times Iost focus staring at him? Why then, did he even for once, think that he wouldn't have a chance with me? If he really listens in on my minds thoughts, how didn't he see how enamored I was by him even when I knew he was my best friend?

"I think I just...don't like that you know what I'm thinking."

He laughed. "I knew you liked me too. What I didn't know was if you would be able to accept me for who I truly am. I mean, you're strong. Any other woman would be running around right now, looking for ways to get out. Here you are, about to have dinner with me."

"Mhm," I said, and stood up to go to the window. I felt him come closer. "How do you live in such darkness? Do you never crave light? Colours?"

His arms wrapped around me, pressing gently on my stomach. "I don't know, but..I crave you. All of you. Your happiness.." His voice trailed off as he turned me around. "I crave what you want, and if its colors, lights...you can have it.

I raised a brow. "You can't take that back."

"Why would I want to?" Laughter danced in his eyes and I wished I had more words tell him how nice he looked that way.

"Thank you." He said, and I remembered. He could hear my thoughts. I hit his shoulder and walked past him to the food.

"What do we have here?"

He shrugged. "Try it."

"Oh, that I will. And criticize, I must."

He laughed. "You won't find anything wrong with my food, I promise you."

NICK'S P.O.V.

My heart was beating wildly as I got home, my head banging. I have never felt this sort of pain coming from my head ever in my life, and It just made me want to slump amd close my eyes.

Shit is whenever I closed my eyes, I saw her. The sheer purity she held within her gaze. The sheer beauty she wielded in her voice. I shook my head harder, ignoring the sharp jolts of pain that accompanied it. It hurt. But not half as much as the realization that I was slowly letting my heart take full control amd make me a traitor. Moments ago I had hated her and now, this?

MORGAN'S P.O.V.

I watched a series of expressions flood her face as she took the first bite, rolling her lips deliciously. Was it a bit too obsessive of me to want to keep kissing her every chance I got?

I knew she deserved more than just sitting around her room like this, so I knew it was about time she has her freedom. Roam around the city and customize it the way she wanted to. It was, after all, her city.
