Can you cook?

"But," he continued, his voice even and soft. "I want to wait for the day you would want to kiss me."

I nodded and adjusted my head on his hand. "Won't it hurt?"

"No. Just lay on my hand."

I nodded, keeping quiet.

We lay in silence for a while, his hand never leaving my waist. The night was already far gone.

"Sleepy?" I asked, titling my jead a bit, to see of I could catch a glimpse of him at least.

"Samantha?"

"Yes?"

"What if I actually lose my humanity? Do you think I'll ever be able to get it back?"

I wasn't quite sure, but he sounded like he needed comforting, not facts. I stretched my hand to his cheeks and pinched it a little.

He gave a yelp. "Ow! What was that for?"

"You're the most humane vampire ever, Morgan. Sometimes, you don't even feel like one."

He nodded and nuzzled closer into me.

"Thank you, Samantha."

I only smiled and nodded, then adjusted back to my position. His breeath soon evened out,  and I could tell he had fallen asleep. It made me feel sleepy too, and he was nice to sleep with, so I made myself comfortable and closed my eyes to the night.

MORGAN'S P.O.V

I smiled to myself as I watched her sleep delicately, her beautiful, silky hair sprawled everywhere on my hand and the pillow. She was heavenly, she was magic, she was all the exquisite things in her that I could pinpoint that even her couldn't. I tucked some loose strands of hair behind her ears and smiled again. She was so innocent, and had believed me to be asleep. I had just been so tired and weak, and I didn't want her to worry about me.

"Sire?"

"Good to hear from you, Nick. Good morning."

I could literally hear his sigh of relief. "You sound better, your highness."

I nodded, even though I knew he wouldn't see it.

"Yes, I do. Sleeping with her did a whole lot of food." I blurted, before realizing what I had said.

"Nick?"

He didn't answer, and I heard him struggling hard to hide his laughter.

"That isn't what I meant, you know that."

He burst out into a short laugh then stopped himself.

"Of course sire. You haven't slept with her." there was an edge in his voice, and it made me want to hit him.

"Go away!"  I said and he chuckled before leaving.

I turned back to her, enjoying just staring at her.

An idea suddenly cane to mind, and I gently pulled my hand out from underneath her. I tiptoed to the door, and opened it noiselessly, before closing it again.

"Nick?"

"Yes, Sire?"

I turned to him, and he was standing there, humor dancing in his eyes. I chose to ignore it, though. I had bigger fish to fry.

"Can you cook?"

Nick's brows furrowed. "Whatever do you need that skill for, Sire?"

I shrugged. "I want to cook for Samantha."

Nick's eyes widened a bit, and then he burst into wild laughter.

"Cook for her? Why would you even do that?"

I shrugged. "I just want to."

Nick studied me, and then finally budged. "Fine, let's go, Sire."
