As Varius was transversing the forest, he checked his own panel.

Looking at his skills, Varius was quite surprised by the effects of the skill. The skills seems weak, but if Varius reach a higher level the effects of the skill will show its true potential.

After wandering the forest for some time, Varius reach a river. The river was about 10 meters wide, the water flows from the east to the west.

The river looked like a giant serpent heading down the mountain and slithering thru the valley. Looking at such a scene, Varius was mesmerizes by the view.

Varius slowly surveyed the surroundings, nothing but the forest and the river can be seen. Seeing that there's no other creatures around, Varius gulp down a few mouth full of water from the river.

Varius and the other students have been inside the Spatial Rift for a few hours now, so Varius was quite spent, he needed to find food and water to replenish his energy.

Sadly Varius didn't find any food to hunt. Thou Spatial Rifts have its own ecosystem, besides this Spatial Rift is only a low level one.

Spatial Rifts are worlds that are lost in the void, the lowest level rifts are only a small worlds while higher level ones are larger and contain a little bit of livestocks.

After hundreds years of research, humans only gained a small knowledge about the secrets of the Spatial Rifts. Until now, no one have discovered how the rifts came to be and where it came from.

Humans only now that once a Spatial Rift is cleared, a Spatial crystal will be formed. Humans can reopen it again and again, using it for the newbies to train their techniques and strength their will .

Also, every day, new Spatial Rifts appear around the world. When a Spatial Rift is left alone for some time, the creatures inside will start to gush out.

After drinking his water, Varius followed the river down stream. After killing a Goblin Assassin, Varius found out that this Spatial Rift seems to be different from the books they've read.

Thou mutant creatures do exist, It is quite rare. And mutants are extremely dangerous because of their intelligence reaching the standards of humans, the school wouldn't take such risk for the first educational reform.

The magical beast can also gained intelligence once they reach a certain level, while mutants are bestowed with a high intelligence giving them the ability to learn.

Because of the ability of mutants, the government gave an order that once a mutant creature is spotted, one should immediately exterminate it.

So Varius was very puzzled by the appearance of a mutant creature. Thou Varius wanted to take revenge, his rationality made him calm.

Throwing that thought in the back of his mind, Varius found the hideout of the Goblin Assassins commander.

Varius saw a little hut in the distance, seeing this Varius stopped on his tracks. Afraid of being discovered, Varius quickly looked around to find a hiding place.

He found a relatively hidden place suitable for sneak attacks about a 100 meters away north from the hut, Varius slowly headed to the spot while warily checking his surroundings.

After Varius positioned himself at a the hidden locations, Varius observed the surroundings trying to find a suitable target.

Because Varius gained the information 'that all the Goblin Assassins army are scattered around the valley' from the memory of the goblin he killed, Varius decided to wait patiently at their meet up point to ambush them when they returned.

Varius only thought of this because he learned that the Goblin Assassin commander made an order for them to report their findings once they finished surveying their area.

As Varius warily looked around, he spotted two Goblin Assassins heading to the hut 300 hundred meter away from the south.

Varius loaded an arrow to his bow, he aimmed at the goblin in front.

Swoosh!

As Varius released the arrow, the sound of air being pierced can be faintly heard. Catching the two off guard, Varius killed the first goblin.

Seeing his companion die, the other goblin was shocked and confused.

Without waiting for the goblin to react, Varius quickly fires another round successfully killing the remaining goblin.

Then at the next moment, another goblin appeared at the south of the hut.

In the next second, Varius killed it with a quick shot.

After about two hours, Varius killed a hundred Goblin Assassins arriving at the hut. Piles of goblin corpses filled the whole area around the hut.

The hut finally opened its door.
