Heading in the direction the cows were running from, the two went in search of a stronger foe, in order to increase their might.
Crossing into the vast distant lands, Ye Qin and Wang Tao flew on their partners for hours on end.
They flew in the air while following in the tracks that were left behind by what seemed to be a powerful monster.
Even though it was very faint, Ye Qin, using his keen eyesight, could see faint traces left behind on the ground. If others were to see using his eyes, they would be able to see a faint green aura that seemed similar to a footprint left behind along the way.
Following along the green tracks, the two of them didn't rest as they followed as closely as they could. They went at full speed, in the case that the tracks would disappear if they had taken too long.
The Earthen Chill Flame Bull which was with them the entire time had gotten used to being with the two brothers.
Being held in Wang Tao's arms, it had fallen asleep along the way, and wouldn't wake up no matter how much the fatty bothered it.
After a few hours, the faint traces increasingly became more visible. In this case, it was obvious that the two of them were getting closer and closer to their objective.
Since this was the case, they had found a place to stay for the night and didn't leave until the dawn of the next morning.
As they continued tracing the steps of whatever it may be, the Earthen Chill Flame Cow had woken up. Opening its eyes, it stared at Wang Tao, before emitting a hint of icy energy from its entire body.
"Hmm? I wonder what it's doing." Wang Tao thought as he held it in his arms.
"It's not exactly hot anymore, so if it's trying to keep me cool, it's doing the opposite instead."
Suddenly, Wang Tao looked below himself and spotted some monsters in a huge group. They numbered over a few hundred, and each of them seemed quite strong.
Obviously, they seemed to be running away from something, which meant that they had filled his and Ye Qin's suspicions.
"Boss." he said.
Ye Qin nodded, looking at the group of monsters which had faint green auras lingering around their bodies, his five other dragons came out at once and immediately began their attack. Their attack was simple, yet effective against such a large group of monsters.
Though, this time, since there were a larger number of monsters, they naturally had to increase the scale of their attacks.
Even so, the number of monsters didn't stop them from killing them all in one full sweep. In fact, it had benefited them greatly and even increased each of their levels by one.
[Fire dragon has leveled up.]
[Ice dragon has leveled up.]
[Wood dragon has leveled up.]
[Wind dragon has leveled up.]
[Thunder dragon ha leveled up.]
After finishing off the horde of monsters which were all roughly level 25, the five dragons leveled up and are now close to catching up to the Qiulong and Yinglong in level.
Each of them was now level 25, while the Qiulong and Ying were level 31. Since this was the case, he no longer needed to hunt monsters for a while since they wouldn't provide much xp even if he did do so.
Coming down to the ground in order to collect the corpses of the monsters, the faint traces of green aura surrounding their bodies dissipated as soon as they had died.
Normally, even if they died, the aura would still be lingering on their bodies after death. In this case, the aura disappeared right away, it was truly a weird case.
Before they could collect the corpses, the Earthen Chill Flame Bull, jumped out of Wang Tao's arms, and stood in the midst of the dead bodies.
The two brothers were curious about what it would do, Wang Tao said softly, "Boss, do you think it could be."
Ye Qin nodded, "It seems like it, looks like we'll be losing a bit of money." he replied.
As the two brothers spoke, the Earthen Chill Flame Bull started emitting both heat and icy energy simultaneously.
The two energies of orange and blue mixed together and became completely white, as they surrounded the bodies of the dead monsters.
Slowly, the dead bodies started drying up and shriveled up as though all the blood from their bodies had disappeared. Shortly afterward, the bodies became frozen in place and became large blocks of ice.
Shortly after that, the bodies returned to white light before disappearing as though they were never there in the first place.
Looking in the spot the bodies had been, not even a drop or trace of the hundreds upon hundreds of monsters could be seen. Even with their acute vision, they couldn't see any of the monsters remains.
Ye Qin then looked at the Earthen Chill Flame Bull and checked its stats once again.
[Monster: Three Elements Bull]
[Grade: Epic]
[Level: 5]
[Type: Beast (Mammal) (Bull)]
[Element: Earth, Fire, and Ice]
[Additional Info: After absorbing the corpses of hundreds of monsters, this bull has transformed into a higher being. It will continue devouring the corpses of monsters in order to become stronger.]
"Interesting, so it changed?" Ye Qin thought.
Looking at the Earthen Chill Flame Bull that had now become the Three Elements Bull, Ye Qin and Wang Tao noticed that it looked different from before.
It's previous half orange and half blue body has now become completely white. It now resembled a unicorn more than a bull, others would even mistake it for one, if not for the two horns growing on the side of its head that resembled a goats horn.
The two horns on its head were spiral in shape like a snail's shell. Though they were not large, they make it possible to differentiate the bull from a unicorn.
After absorbing all of the monster corpses, the Thee Elements Bull jumped back into Wang Tao's arms and went back to sleep.
Ye Qin and Wang Tao continued heading in one direction, in hopes of finding an Overlord level monster to strengthen themselves.
It had been less than a year since they had first gone to the Abandoned Lands and had to run away from an Overlord, now, just a few months later, the two brothers returned in search for one of such level.
If others knew of this, they would think the two were courting death, by trying to anger an Overlord level monster.
Heading in a singular direction, they found some monsters on the way but left them alone. Sometimes the Blackgold Python Tiger was bored, so it turned some monsters into popsicles along the way.
After a few hours, they began to see more traces of the Overlord level monster. For some reason, the traces could only be seen from a single direction, the two followed along the horizon and had a few stops along the way when they had to answer to natures calling.
...
That night, the two of them had dinner before heading to sleep early so that they could continue early in the morning while finding some monsters that only appeared during dawn.
Heading off, they looked for the traces left behind by the large crop, while looking for some rare monsters.
Along the way, they found a few rare monsters and observed their behavior before continuing their journey. Since the monsters were rare, obviously they wouldn't kill them and enable their population to grow until it was large enough for them to hunt.
After a few hours, when it was getting close to noon, the traces began to slowly change direction. Ye Qin and Wang Tao followed it closely and had realized that it was turning round and round.
After following the tracks and ending back in the same place, the two stopped mid-flight and created a map.
Looking at the map, the course that they had followed and lead them back to their original position, resembled a star.
Since that was the case, they only needed to search the area within the overlapping ovals that formed a star shape.
"I'll search this area, while you search this area." Ye Qin told him.
"Got it." Wang Tao nodded as the Blackgold Python Tiger took off.
As for Ye Qin, he stayed in the same spot and summoned all seven of his dragons. The dragons knew what he had in mind and all headed off on their own, while himself and the Qiulong stayed in the air in a single spot.
Looking below him, Ye Qin noticed a single monster slowly burrowing its way up to the surface. Since it was a sandy area, it was natural for earth element monsters to show up.
As he observed it closely for a while, the six dragons, as well as Wang Tao, came back. "Nothing." Wang Tao told him.
The six dragons also nodded before turning to the Monster Sea. Even though they came back, Ye Qin continued observing the monster underground and burrowing.
Seeing this, Wang Tao thought, "Hmm? What's he so focused on." and looked down at the monster.
After a quick glance, Wang Tao said, "I got it!"
"That's right, let's go." Ye Qin replied.
Wang Tao nodded as the Blackgold Python Tiger dove downward as fast as it could, creating a barrier of wind around its body as it impacted with the ground, blowing a huge amount of dust everywhere.
Boom!
The Blackgold Python Tiger slammed into the ground and began freezing the space around it while it dug through the ground.
After the two brothers observed the monster below them, they had instantly figured out the location of the Overlord level monster!
As the Blackgold Python Tiger dug, Ye Qin followed closely behind without helping. Wang Tao wanted to complain, but he didn't say anything and continued digging.
After digging for a while, the dirt became harder and harder to dig. Some rare metals were also seen around them occasionally as they went deeper and deeper into the surface of the Earth.
The Blackgold Python Tiger coated its paws with gold and ice energy enabling it to dig through the tough metals that blocked them from entering deeper into the ground.
Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow!
Pow!
With a final push, the dirt wall broke, enabling the two of them to enter a large open space that seemed to have been dug a long time ago.
Looking around, they immediately spotted dozens of mole-like monsters roaming inside the space, while others were expanding the space.
The Blackgold Python Tiger shot out thousands of tiny spikes of ice energy at them, rapidly killing them all.
Immediately, hordes of stronger monsters reacted when the monsters were killed by the Blackgold Python Tiger.
Roar!
When it roared, the stronger monsters all trembled and slowed down as they headed towards it from all different directions.
