Chapter 9: Tohsaka Residence

Chapter 9: Tohsaka Residence

'Damn, this has worn me down more than I expected.' As he fell to the ground he saw a golden glow that reached up to the sky.

Julius had accomplished something that someone from his Sequence wasn't supposed to. The Mythical Creature's form was something that only Demigods of Sequence 4 onwards could achieve, and it wasn't until a Beyonder became an Angel that they could use the full form.

Julius knew that both his origin and element were [Door], and he took advantage of this to create a Reality Marble that amplified this concept. At the same time, he copied Heracles' [Divinity A] skill to make up for his own lack of it.

It wasn't something that was supposed to happen, so he hadn't been able to keep it going for more than a few seconds, and when the time was up he was completely exhausted.

Luckily he was able to keep the Bounded Fields he had set up before the fight active, which would make it difficult for anyone to notice Saber's [Excalibur] unless they were looking directly.

'It isn't stable enough to perform the ritual yet, I need it to last at least a few minutes.' Julius analyzed the results of this first time he had summoned a Reality Marble.

He hadn't named it yet, but it was the culmination of all his talent and years of work. Reality Marble was the pinnacle of Bounded Fields, the projection of one's inner world brought to reality, the closest a magus could ever get to True Magic without becoming a Magician.

"Julius, are you okay?" Shirou ran over and picked him up.

"Berserker's presence has disappeared…" The magus' vision was blurry and he had a hard time seeing if Artoria had eliminated the enemy or if he had escaped.

"Yes, Saber shot a giant beam of light from her sword and obliterated him completely." For some reason, the boy sounded calmer than he should be, after all, he had been a normal person until a few days ago, even if he knew a bit of Reinforcement magecraft.

Julius nodded, pleased to have finished off the second biggest threat in the war.

"I feel like I need to sleep, I guess you want to talk to your sister Shirou." He commented with difficulty. "She has not suffered severe damage from my attack, but she will be unconscious for a while, you can take her to the hotel."

Having said this, he became unconscious.

When he woke up, Julius realized that he wasn't in his hotel room. He got up from the luxurious-looking bed and was just about to head for the door when it opened.

"Tohsaka?" The magus was confused for a second.

Rin was carrying a glass of water and she froze when she saw him awake.

"A-Abraham, so you're finally awake." She looked away as she drank the glass of water in one gulp. "I came to see your condition, but you seem fine."

It was then that Julius realized where he was.

"Tohsaka mansion, how am I here?" he asked.

At that moment Emiya appeared behind Rin. "We wanted to set the date for a strategy meeting, but when we went to the hotel room we saw that you were unconscious." The Servant explained what happened. "That hotel room was too small for so many people, so we decided that it would be a good idea to bring you here for now."

Julius understood that adding Illya to the room already originally intended for two people would be difficult.

"How long have I been gone, Archer?" he questioned.

"From what we've been told, four days." He revealed, shocking the magus. "The Einzbern's homunculus is still unconscious, I don't know what kind of attack you used, but it is terrifying without a doubt."

Julius nodded and then looked at Rin.

"You have taken care of me during these days, I sincerely appreciate it." He smiled at them, this had proved to him that they were trustworthy people since they could have taken the opportunity to attack him while he slept. Artoria was a formidable opponent, but if Julius died she would disappear.

Rin blushed.

"Idiot! We are allies so of course we want to establish a good relationship." She tried to explain, but it only elicited a small laugh from Julius and Archer covering his face with a hand at his Master's behavior.

"Master!" Artoria came running with Shirou, the latter was sweaty and both had bokken in hand.

"Saber, I see that you have started training with Shirou." He looked at the boy. "That's good, both his element and his origin are [Sword], so he should progress quite quickly."

Julius noticed Emiya's frown slightly. Shirou hadn't talked about anything related to a hero of justice yet, he had a plan to redirect this boy's passion to protect everyone to something much more sensible.

"That's right, for a moment I was amazed at how much he's progressed in three days," Artoria commented, and Shirou scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"Okay, now we've caught up." Julius directed his attention back to Rin. "Tohsaka, now that we've finished off Berserker it's possible that Gilgamesh will be interested in the war, the chances of meeting him will be much higher. We must plan our course of action thoroughly."

The girl pursed her lips for a moment before nodding.

"Okay, let's go to the living room."
