Fate : A New Legend(Abandoned)

Carter Riley is an ordinary guy living an ordinary life. His family was a loving couple from America who fell in love in Japan and moved here, later having a child named Carter Riley.

His life was ordinary from the point of view of others, but to him it was quite a vibrant life. Good friends with whom he would go to gaming clubs after school to play various computer games or just go for a walk.

He didn't have a girlfriend because of his ordinary appearance, but he couldn't help falling in love with someone. And that someone became the number one beauty in the entire high school.

His friends persuaded him to confess to her, promising to pay for him in the arcade for a month, but no one expected his confession to be accepted, even with a bright smile, as if it were a pipe dream.

This was a new color in his already cheerful life. They often went out together, hung out at each other's houses, did almost everything together, which forced them to grow closer and closer.

Until finally they had their first kiss and then sex. It became a new emotion and feeling in their good relationship.

After all that, they promised to get married no matter what. Three years later this promise came true. Both their parents seemed happy that their children had found love and thus happily approved of their marriage.

On their wedding day, they were so happy that his girlfriend was crying and he was smiling.

Their friends congratulated them from the bottom of their hearts, and Carter's friends joked with him about how they didn't even have a girlfriend they could really talk to.

And so the years flew by. Carter had already graduated from engineering school and his wife from medical school.

Two years later, they had their first child, a girl. They felt it was a new kind of happiness to see their child grow up, eat, talk, and thankfully have enough money to live on.

At the age of 35, his child was 12, she had grown a lot, taking all the beauty of her mother and some traits from him, but the best thing about her was her intelligence.

Because of her upbringing, the girl grew up smarter than her peers, achieving an achievement in which she completed the high school program at 12, thus attracting the attention of various institutions.

As parents, they chose a field in which she was truly interested, bioengineering.

So they spent their time watching movies and enjoying life thanks to their daughter's money.

Until... he died. His death was just trivial or a cliché. Maybe the whole world will talk about it, because it's not every day that a meteorite falls on a man's head.

I mentally sighed out of my past life.

I am now in the womb of my new mother. How did I find out? First, the inability to move and the frequent urges to sleep. Second, the sound of heart beating and the warmth around me. Third, the muffled conversations of people. That's how I realized what had happened to me, which was reincarnation.

At first I dismissed the silly isekai idea, but the facts were right in front of me.

What about family? Well... I just have faith that they'll make it. The wife and daughter are devils. They could be relegated to the cold-blooded class, although that smile when I confessed... it doesn't matter anymore. I just hope they don't break down and cry for too long, if they do I'd like to hug them and comfort them, but alas, I'm probably in a completely different world if you consider situations from anime and novels.

I once heard an interesting Internet quote that said, "Know how to let go of what you care about." That's exactly what I've been trying to do for the past 2 months, and the results have been quite noticeable. I started to worry less about them, the fear and emptiness inside of me started to close with the thought that they would be okay.

I tried to move my foot and hit some kind of wall.

Fortunately, I woke up four months pregnant. During that time, I often tried to move out of my panic and kept hitting that wall. Whenever this happened, I would hear muffled words from my mother. I don't know why, but I always felt the warmth in her words, even though I couldn't make them out.

All I could do was sleep and wonder where exactly I had been reborn. I wasn't some protagonist of a novel that was trained in my mother's womb, I'm just the protagonist of a more realistic fanfic...

This chapter is intentionally truncated because it's a prologue or... laziness. This will be a destiny fanfic where the MC will become a hero and create his own legend to get into the throne of heroes. The MC will be at the power level of the top 10 servants.

So he will not be the one to destroy Alaya or Gaia...
