Chapter 164: She just left .

Alyssa remembered the words May told her the day she divorced Calcel.

" Marvis, Listen to me before you walk away. " May stopped Alyssa who was turning to leave.

" I don't know the exact reason you insist on staying here. But I can see in your eyes that you like Calcel. " Said May.

Alyssa crossed her arms around her chest and gave May a serious face.

" And what if I do ? " She asked May.

" Everyone here adores you because you have the same character with Alyssa. And if Calcel getting close to you, Its not because he loves you. Its because he feels comfortable the way he used to feel around Alyssa. " May moved closer to Alyssa and talked to her ear in a whisper.

" For the two years I have been with Calcel, The only person he ever truly loved was Alyssa. Don't ever think that can replace her with anyone. Or even you..." May moved away and added.

Alyssa thought about that that day and when when she went inside she over heard David and Calcel talk.

" Calcel, Now that the divorce is done. You have nothing more to worry about. " Said David.

Alyssa saw David touch Calcel's left shoulder and said.

" Feel free to open your heart for someone if you can. I will not force you but...when you fall in love again. Do not hesitate. I want a grandchild and i need to declare another Uriah. " Spoke David to Calcel.

" Father, You know I had married May because of you. And in my heart, The only person I have ever loved was Alyssa. I can't promise you that i am ready to open heart as soon as possible. Can you please hold on a little longer for your grand child ? " Calcel answered.

They both didn't know that Alyssa was there hearing them.

After this Calcel grinned and walked away.

David was turning to go to his room when he saw Alyssa's hand. She had hidden behind the pillar.

" Who is that ? " He questioned.

Alyssa knew she had been caught and she came forward with guilt in her eyes.

" Marvis...Its you ? Why are you there ? " Demanded David.

" I was just passing by sir. I didn't mean to over hear your conversation. " She said.

" It's no big deal. We were just having a father to son talk. "

" I understand sir. "

" Well, Marvis, I remember you telling me about losing your child and its father that left you. The pain of losing the people you love that you suffered is the same Calcel has gone through. I wish everyone here could understand him. " Spoke David.

" Mr Wong, I don't want to dig much into hus story but all I know is that Calcel does everything with good intentions. " Alyssa intervened.

" You are right. " David beamed.

He sat down in the sofa as Marvis became more attentive.

" Sometimes I blame myself for making him like that. " He said solemnly.

" Sir, Why would you blame yourself ? " Asked Alyssa.

" From the beginning, I divorced his mother and made him miserable. And after that, I married Alyssa not knowing that she was the woman that he could have loved. Then on top of that, I forced him to marry May yet i knew very well that he was in love with Alyssa and she loved him too. " Narrated David.

Alyssa felt touched by the story and sat down near David who now looked sad.

" Mr Wong , I believe you also had your other good intentions. "

" Yeah. I did all that to become and maintain my position as the mayor. " Surprisingly David opened up to her.

" I won't lie with a yes. But for the few days You have been here, I observed the way you were handling Calcel. " When he mentioned this Alyssa looked down and swallowed hard.

" Marvis, I don't want to conclude that you have feelings for Calcel. But all I can tell you now is that, ..." David stood up making Alyssa to look up at him.

" At this moment, Calcel is very hard to love..That's what I can day before you go deep. ," David jazzed her from his experience with Calcel.

Alyssa remembered these before answering Jenny. After words from the maids, May and David, Alyssa realized that she had no hopes of being with Calcel if she wished to so she gave up om him and begun avoiding him. No wonder she didn't even tell him that she was soon leaving the Mansion.

" Jenny, ",Alyssa called reaching for Jenny's hands.

" When I am away, Please take good care of Calcel on my behalf.." she requested.

Calcel was still looking at them but he couldn't hear what they were talking about.

" If that's what you want, I will do if for you. " Jenny said lovingly.

" I will leave then.." Alyssa said and turned to leave with her luggage.

When Calcel saw this he walked back to his room in fury.

He sat on his again and lied on the bed and looked up at the ceiling.

" She bid everyone goodbye except me,Do I mean nothing to her at all ? " He asked the ceiling and then turned to face the wall.

" But why do I care anyway ? " He questioned again .

He was like that when the door knocked and he immediately sat back at the edge of the bed.

" Come in ! " He said.

Jenny was the one who entered.

" What is it ? " He asked.

" Nothing. I just came to tell you that Marvis has just left. "
