" Its fine. I understand that. " Gladys said.

Calcel's birthday was there two months back but he didn't hold it because David had gone for a new re-swear in ceremony of the year as the Mayor so there was no time to party.

" Fine. I will leave then. " He said and entered his car.

Calcel arrived at the Mansion when Cynthia was there already.

He found her chatting with her daughter ofcourse and David.

" Greetings Madam Cynthia.." He greeted her and sat down opposite them.

" Calcel you are late. " David looked angry.

" I am sorry father. I didn't know that she was coming. " He apologized.

" Where have you been though ? " David questioned.

" I went to see Mrs Stuart. Gladys. " He answered honestly

" Gladys is no longer our in.law, Why would you go to see her ? " Cynthia moved in immediately on hearing about her.

" Mom is right. Why would you go there . "

" I just went to invite her for the Company's party. "

" Company party ? " Cythia was not even aware about this.

" Yes Cynthia, We are celebrating 100 years of existence this Tuesday. " David gave in a hand.

" David , Why didn't you inform me earlier ? " Cynthia asked showing him her anger.

" It's no big deal. I was going to tell you anyway. " David said.

" But still..." Cynthia argued.

" Take is easy. We here to celebrate for our yet to be born son. So, Let's join the table for dinner. " David declared after checking his wrist watch and finding out that it was 3p sharp.

The following day, Alyssa left to see Hopkins after the morning work.

" Marvis...I thought about your favour and this is what we are going to do. You know I like holding different events so this Suturday I want you to feature in the makeup show that we shall hold. If you win it, I will make you my ambassador. " The aged man said.

" Sir, Are you serious ? " She asked not believing this.

" I am very serious. All you need to do is think of something unique and presentable. Not like jokers again. " He made it clear.

" Sir..I will.." She said.

" Go and focus on that right now. You have the whole week. " Said Mr Hopkinsville.

" If you need buy anything to help you. I will assist you. " He added.

" Alright sir. Thank you. " She said getting up to leave.

Then something came to her mind. " Sir, Is it possible for me to get a phone or...a laotop ? " She asked as she actually had none.

The man pulled out his credit card and gave it to her. She looked at him with a frown.

" Sir..."

" Go and buy everything you need. I want you to appear like a real celebrity. You have to start living the life that you want. There it will be very easy for you. " He said.

Alyssa then smiled and said.

" Okay Sir. Thank you so much. I will do as you wish. " She said making a low bow and then left.

Hopkins looked at her and smiled. " Very wise girl ! I know you will make it . " He said as he watched her walk away.

' Now where should I go first ? '

She asked herself when she was out of the building .

In a Mall....

Alyssa thought she could get most of the things she needed if she went a mall.

She sent and did some shopping. The credit card a sum of money.

While she was getting out of the mall she walked past a Gladys who saw her and recognised her. Ofcourse she knew that this was Marvis. She knew her face and her name. The girl Alyssa had brought home and the girl who got the accident on the same day Alyssa did.

" Marvis...? " Gladys called surprised to see her.

When Alyssa heard the name she stopped and turned to look around at the person who was calling her. To her, A a woman she didn't know was calling her.

For Gladys, She smiled on seeing that this was really Marvis.

" Marvis...It's really you. " Gladys said walking to her and she held her hand with a smile.

But Alyssa had a puzzled look.

" Ma,am, Do you know me ? "

Alyssa asked.

When Gladys heard this voice that she knew very well her smile faded in shock.

" That voice..." Gladys first said in a shaky voice. She knew her daughter's voice very well.

" Ma'am, How do you know me ? " Alyssa asked again.

" I am Gladys. Alyssa's mother. Don't you remember me ? " Gladys asked her eyes turning wet.

" Alyssa's mother ? " Alyssa asked. She just heard the name Alyssa again.

" Yes..I am the one. " Gladys said.

" I don't know when you left the hospital. I came and found you gone . " Gladys said.

" Wait...You are Alyssa's mother and you know me. I am sorry Ma'am, I lost my memory. " She confessed.

" You mean...you can't remember anything ? " Gladys asked.

" Yes Ma'am. " She said.

" Can you please tell me what happened ? " Alyssa asked.

" Of course I will. " She said and they found somewhere to sit.

" My daughter Alyssa brought you home when you were both pregnant. Then you two got an accident and my daughter died. " Gladys narrated sadly as Alyssa listened.

" Was so close with Alyssa ? " Alyssa herself asked.

" Yes. She said she brought you from the hospital when you were pregnant. You had become best friends I guess. " Gladys said.

" I were still in comma and I didn't get to know when you left. " She said.

' So she is the mother of Alyssa..Calcel's lover...'

Alyssa thought.

" But it's weird, Your changed. She speak exactly as she used to. " Gladys spoke in wonder.

" It just changed I guess. " She said .

"So...you went back to your parents ? " She asked.

",...i...Yes.." Alyssa lied and smiled.

' I can't tell her that I am staying with her daughter's ex in.laws. '

Alyssa thought as she answered.

" I am living with them. " She said to affirm.

" I am happy that they welcomed you back home after everything that happened. If you want anything, Feel free to inform me. "

" Okay Ma'am. I will .." Alyssa said.
